All upgrades to meet current bldg. regulations were done to include new windows, electrical, plumbing, and insulation throughout the house. New A/C & heating unit was installed. Solar was installed. The craftsmenship on the install of the flooring, cabinets and trim are outstanding. The stucco was patched around the windows & doors and the exterior was painted. The whole interior was painted as well. Essentially, we have a new home. Marilupe & Jose were so good communcating issues that came up and coordinated the work so it was done in a timely manner. Their scheduling of the subcontractors and inspectors kept the job progressing. I'm so proud of the job that JCJ Chavez Construction has done to my home that I wanted to share with others so we can continue to support our local businesses that make our community thrive.

We are just as pleased now as we were then with the quality of workmanship done on the remodel. It even held up superbly during 2019's summer of earthquakes! The workmen are respectful of the house and, while they came and went freely, they never wanted to be in the way or to inconvenience us any more than they had to. They are family men who are kind and courteous, work hard, and do it all day every day. The work site was clean both physically and in language/demeanor of the workmen. When we looked for licensed contractors for the job, we narrowed it down to 3 who were within about $1500 of each other for the same job. Working with Marilupe was a dream! A female contractor had the very best measuring tools, communicated clearly and as frequently as needed, and was very thorough. When we requested to get cabinets through a local company rather than regular suppliers, she happily began that partnership and the whole job was coordinated and finished earlier than anticipated and with great quality products. Don't be afraid to ask for something if you want it! We're still thrilled with everything and how it was installed. I recommend them to everyone I know looking to do some remodeling!

He left no business card. 9 days later, no estimate for insurance company; I have called the 6 times since the 15th , and no replies. Called 2/16, 2/17, 2/18, 2/20, 2/21, and 2/22. Lady answering phone gave me attitude on 2/22, and the brush off. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this company even stays in business. Don't even THINK about calling them, and YES, I did drop a couple of F-bombs on calls. And companies like this in Ridgecrest wonder WHY they go belly up and have Ridgecrest property owners contract out with companies in Palmdale, Lancaster & Bakersfield. Duh!!! Here's a clue...maybe if you VALUED your clientele base? Just a thought...

It is now two months later so I called to find out the status and they told me it shipped on the 2nd. I guess they don't update their clients on anything. They have the WORST customer service IF you can actually get ahold of anyone. I don't even know how a company that runs this way gets ANY business. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone or EVER use this company again.

Friends recommended Evergreen so I asked Toby to work two projects for us…read more One job was work in the backyard; he surprised me by doing more than I expected. My second job was removing an old shed and building a new one in place. In this project I specifically asked that he incorporate paint and leftover roofing materials that I had from a recent roofing job to ensure as close a match as possible to the existing house. In doing so while the cost savings was minimal, he did not argue. He was very easy to work with and accommodating in every sense. I also asked Toby to bring over his framer(s) so I could ensure they understood specific requirements I had. He did so on a Saturday. Unfortunately, the paint I provided for the walls did not match the adjacent building and was for me, an eye sore. That error was on me. The Home Depot Paint Department used my small sample I had them make previously and confirmed that it was the match I wanted, however when upsized to a gallon, somehow it was not close at all. I worked with HD (Robert worked hard and gets huge credit) and after I got a proper match, I set out to re-paint the shed myself. As the projects were completed, Toby sent his son and crew over with the express intent "of making sure I was happy." I casually explained the issue with the paint mis match, and they immediately offered to redo the painting for me, including trim work. It looks great! That extra kindness sealed the deal for me. I will be using Evergreen for future projects. The overall costs were very reasonable in my opinion. As an aside: Evergreen informed me that they had experienced another recent mismatched paint job, so make sure you work with HD and double check any custom paint before painting. HD and Evergreen, again, were wonderful to work with, even though I didn't double check the custom gallon before handing it off to the paint crew. My mistake. It won't happen again, at least until next time.
