    Size of the wing

After hearing nothing but negative feedback about this place since it changed ownership, my family and I decided to go. We made reservations and were sat quickly by a server. We did call prior to bump up our reservations, which they were able to accommodate. Mollie was our server and one of the stars is for her. She was super nice and quick to get the things we needed when asked. We started off with drinks. They were out of kids cups, which was a bit difficult at times having two smaller children. My husband ordered a beer, which wound up being out, but got another one. I had ordered a mojito, which took about 10 minutes or so to get. Now, I understand the bar was busy. However, when I see multiple drinks coming out but mine - irritating. The drink wasn't very good for the money I spent on it. It tasted like straight up like juice and club soda with no rum to be found. I also didn't enjoy the lack of mint or limes a mojito typically has in it. My husband had come here with friends prior and loved the old fashioned. This one he did not. He said something was missing and the first one he ever had there was great. We ordered the kids' food and a couple of apps to start with. The curds and hot mama wings came out prior to the kids' food, which again, took forever given the crowd. The curds were excellent but the side of sauce could be a bit bigger. The wings... the wings had excellent flavor. However, charging almost $10 for the tiniest itty bitty wings is awful. Yes, being in the industry I understand the inflation on wings, but then remove them from your menu. The size of these wings were embarrassing. We then ordered the haus dip and quesadillas. The dip had a great flavor with some kick, but it wasn't overly hot. I had asked for no chorizo in my quesadilla, but it came out with so much chorizo and very little chicken. Therefore, I couldn't eat it. Mollie did however ask if I wanted a new one. But given the amount of time it was taking for food, we skipped it. Lastly we ordered their special mussels. They weren't overly hot and the broth it was in tasted almost like plain milk. Overall, our bill was $126 for everything. The food wasn't anything to write home about. The service wasn't too bad. I do feel like this place has the potential but needs more help or even time. I really wanted to love it here as I had always enjoyed coming here before new ownership took place. I most likely won't be returning unless I hear that things are changing for the better.

Service was great. However, I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was all fatty meat. They did remove that meal from the bill.

Was not crowded at all No bread to the table. They charge a credit card fee which is funny because my credit card is the reason I went there for a promo. I had the scallops and they were pretty good. Not much of a side on these. Wife had braised short rib and that was a good size portion and she enjoyed it. Would like to try the 2nd floor if we go here again.

While visiting from California, we met friends here as halfway point, not knowing what we were walking into so completely bias and giving this place a full chance. It's beautiful inside and out; so why is it so dead? The service was more than subpar. The place was really empty inside, but it took about 10-15 minutes for all of us to get our cocktails and they all came out at different times, so none of us had them together. What's more, due to food allergies and sensitivities, I requested my salad with dressing on the side, with shrimp; because I'm allergic to chicken. My salad came out smothered in dressing, with no protein. The server returned to our table and apologized for the missing protein, taking the salads back to the kitchen and returning with mine topped with chicken... 2 of our meals were completely wrong. At the end of the meal, two salads and and a couple glasses of wine were $93... I have to give them 3 stars. It was just alright at the end of the day.

Throw in some TVs, a big U-shape bar for maximum area, thus making it my favorite bar shape. Have you ever been standing in one of those straight-line bars, and you're about three layers of people away from even sniffing the bar. It's claustrophobic, it creates a needless bottleneck, it feels like you're about to be crushed. Not here. It's open with super high ceilings. You can go outside and play cornhole in the crisp fall air. The whole place is easily accessible either by using the parking lot out front or the even bigger parking lot in the rear. I think there is some sort of hidden ballroom downstairs for private events. Every now and then you see a whole wedding procession just casually stroll on through. I guess it's the hot destination, which makes total sense when you take a step back and can see Sly Fox for what it truly is, which is your cookie cutter craft brewery bar experience you've seen countless times up and down the eastern seaboard. I gotta give it to them, Sly Fox was one of the few breweries to break through to kind of the ultimate level. To the point where it goes well beyond just having your beer appear in local bar taps, but to be the establishment itself, and in this case, a successful chain of them. With its headquarters in Pottstown, it's always nice to see success stories like these with local roots. I will look back and think fondly of these days before it becomes a giant evil mega corporation snuffing the life out of smaller startup breweries like it once was by the dozen. Until then, might as well enjoy the ride.

Finding your way upstairs adds to the speakeasy-style charm. The reception area alone sets the vibe: playful, stylish, and full of photo-worthy moments before you even sit down. It feels like you've discovered something not everyone knows about. We went with the small plate prix fixe menu (three courses), and each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and -- most importantly -- delicious. Every course left us wanting just a little more, which is exactly how a tasting-style experience should feel. Nothing felt rushed, and the pacing of the food was on point. Cocktails were also excellent, creative, well-balanced, and fitting for the ambiance. The only hiccup of the night was drink service being a bit slow. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but noticeable. Overall, a great Restaurant Week experience in a space that feels both intimate and fun. I'll absolutely be back to explore the full menu soon.
