I have been without a refrigerator for over a month. We ordered the parts and I pre paid for the repairs.(silly me). It took two more weeks to receive the parts and was not scheduled for the repairs for another two weeks. Then it was scheduled as a maintanence not a repair and so needed to be rescheduled . But repairs are only done in Thursday and Friday's! I am done with sears. I asked for a refund and was told my case would be reviewed and someone would contact me by email- still I word. I have been a customer of Sears my entire adult life as wee my parents. I've been meaning to update my review on my dryer. A few months late but after a few days of purchasing my dryer, which is still in good condition. The only issue was that the timer doesn't work. We weren't sure if the clothes were drying before the timer went off but after the 3rd day of using it, we left in the morning to run errands for a few hours while drying clothes for 30mins and when we returned home later that after noon the dryer was still running. I do recall the sales lady highly recommended the Roper dryer while I was interested in other dryers. But of course she swindle me into purchasing the Roper to which I should have returned within the 7day refund policy. Timer may not be a big deal but As a mother of two, full time student, and full time job, the timer would help a lot so the clothes don't burn or shrink or increase my gas bill. read more

My 1 star review is for the delivery of my dishwasher I just purchased for a rental unit. At the time I purchased my appliance, I specifically asked for a courtesy call when the delivery man was on his way. I live 5 doors down and was home waiting for my call to go meet the man and take delivery. I never got a call from the delivery man, but instead received a call from the office saying my dishwasher had just been delivered and because I was not there it was left with a neighbor. WHAT?! I have never heard of this before nor can I even comprehend why someone would delivery an appliance and leave it with a total stranger. When I called them back to ask why their delivery person would just leave a paid for appliance with a stranger they had no answer for me. I asked if they would be willing to refund me the delivery fee and was also told NO. It's sad that this is the way some people choose to do business. I chose to never do business with someone who treats their customers this way. read more

Not Going Back...LIARS I went to purchase a fridge and ask about stove installation and one of the employees there quoted me and told me they will come to my house to install. Later I called and they guy started acting weird over the phone and said they don't do that. One of them is lying, and I don't take my business where I am told one thing and later on another thing Also, one employee told me 6 month warranty and then another one said 3 months warranty. This review is a bit overdue since I have known and used this business for 5-7 years. I just love working with this place. It is small so there aren't a million choices, good! The used appliances are very cleaned up and affordable so if you know the size and what you want? If they have one, it'll work. I have bought several pieces washer, dryer and fridges for a rental. When I moved to my house, I bought a washer/dryer set from craigslist. Sigh. The washer with digital display and less water would not do anything but give me error signals. Done. Drove to 3R, picked out another washer, they were at my house in 1.5hrs. Traded out the cruddy washer and got the used one in. Not a problem in 3 years, but they warranty for 90 days. I didn't know they would repair other peoples appliances (yes! they do), so when my dryer recently stopped working, I called TWO other local appliance teams. One never returned a call. The other I left message, didn't return call. I called, set up a time later the afternoon, they never showed or called. A week later: I called 3R today, it's 11:15am. They send out 2 guys and a truck stocked with parts. They show up 12:05 (I was given range 12-1) and by 12:15 they know the thermostat is out. By 12:35 they are done, swept up my garage floor!!! and are gone. $110 which I'm completely happy with. Repairs also have a 90 day warranty. The speed, the efficiency and the value -- I'll give this company my business as long as they are there. If they don't have salespeople jumping around to help, remember, you are paying a fraction of the cost of new appliances. I don't think they add much onto their cost, so come with a good attitude and patience and you'll leave with a smile! They know their stuff and we shared a good laugh about the new digital display boards which I hate and prefer the older appliances with manual switches. When my wife and I moved into a new home in September we needed to get a washer and dryer. We first looked at the Sears outlet center since we heard they had some great deals on units with cosmetic or other minor issues. But the Sears outlet didn't have any deals! I could have gotten a brand new unit from Home Depot cheaper! So I looked on Yelp and came across 3Rs appliance in Chula Vista. It was about a 40 minute drive from my house round trip so I was hoping it would be worth it. When we pulled up I didn't expect much and already felt like we were in the wrong place. But after walking inside my opinion quickly began to change. It's not much to look at on the inside; just some used appliances but they don't need any bells and whistles really. The appliances all looked like they were in good shape overall. But the thing that really stood out to me was Alexandra. Whenever I buy something for more than a hundred dollars from a sales person, part of the equation for me is that I have to like the person I'm dealing with....this was especially true of Alexandra. She was not your typical sales person. There were no high pressure sales tactics and she seemed very honest and straight forward. We ended up buying an almost new (slightly used) washer and dryer. They were both the kenmore brand but not a matching set (big deal!). The price we paid was awesome! They delivered and setup the units for us too! Plus their warranty is unbelievable! 90 days parts and labor and if something goes wrong after that you only pay parts and they perform the labor for free! The only negative remark I can make is that the guy who installed the units said that a dryer hose wasn't included when Alexandra told me it was (it was even in writing on my receipt). But I figured that for the price and included delivery I wasn't gonna make a big deal about it because it was still an excellent value either way. I would highly recommend 3Rs if you're looking for slightly used appliances at a reasonable price. Their customer service is awesome! read more

I just purchased a MayTag refrigerator from 3Rs. I saved a bundle purchasing the unit with a minor dent that isn't even visible from the front. They are a professional and delivered it to my home in a hour. I'll look to them first the next time I need to purchase a major kitchen appliance. read more

Prices were good, delivery was good, attitudes were good. I had no problem, and if I needed to I'd use them again. Bought a washer/dryer set off these guys twice. Once in 2010 and again in 2012. The 2012 set is now at my fiancee's aunt's house still working just fine. Dinged one star because the first delivery crew forgot tools, and the second was MIA in traffic. Could've called to let us know they were going to be late, but they were only about 15 minutes, so not a crazy huge deal since were weren't doing anything. Overall, I'd shop here again if I still lived in SD. read more

Came home from a few days away and found that our freezer had gone out! Going to all the 'normal' routes no one had a freezer in stock to help us, until I found 3R!! Delores was an angel. they delivered a new freezer (with a couple of dings) immediately and she had already turned it on and gotten it cold for us! Saved our frozen meat!! I've had issues with my washer and dryer and I've also called them to fix my refrigerator. You can tell they have tons of experience and their goal is to help you fix your problem! love them! My fridge broke and so I decided to check out Craigslist to see what was offered. Holy shit! These losers dominate the entire appliance area with spam, not just a few, but hundreds upon hundreds per day. It was difficult to navigate CL to find any other sellers! So I called and asked about a specific Maytag they had advertised. Not available! The sales guy was rude too. Then I did a little price comparison between them and Lowes and Home Depot. Not even close. Lowes was cheaper and gave free delivery, set up and hauled off the old one. My first instinct was never to buy from a spammer. My second was that this place was sleazy. Bad customer service and just lazy, no consideration to client. Took the "technician" about 1 minute to diagnose my washer with electrical malfunction by just looking at it (literally) and deemed it beyond repair, took his $25 and bolted in under 5 minutes. Unfortunately I had used these guys on 2 occasions before and they were pretty decent, but after one bad encounter.... sorry they just lost a paying customer - they needed the $25 more than I did I guess. I should've stayed away when they "forgot" their original appointment with me the day before, that was the warning but I didn't listen. I called three r's this morning as my dryer stopped working yesterday. I asked if they had an opening today to come and fix my dryer and they did. We set up a time from 2:00-3:00, they were prompt courteous and got me fixed for a reasonable price. I'll recommend them to anyone. read more

I purchased a washer/ dryer here yesterday. They have a 90 day warranty so felt it was pretty safe. Washed the 1st load & it sounded like a jet coming apart!! Never heard such noise on a washer. I called them. They sent a tech out the next day. He immediately called the owner who agreed to take it in for repair or they would refund my money. We decided to take the refund. I was disappointed & wasted a day with all of this but could not have asked for more fast, courteous service. So far I'm very impressed with 3R's appliances. After visiting a number of appliance stores looking for a dryer and refrigerator my last stop was at 3R's. I had a budget of $700 for both and I walked out with both appliances for $600 including delivery, installment, taxes THE LOT! Their store doesn't have a huge selection of appliances but hopefully that just means they care about each item in stock instead of cramming in as much as they can. All employees I've met have been very polite and helpful. They delivered the very next day and gave me an estimated appointment time of 10-11am, they arrived at 10:55. The delivery itself was amazing, the 2 men unloaded and installed my 2 appliances in under 15minutes, even taking the doors off the refrigerator to fit it scratch free through the door. I'll will shop here again if I need anymore appliances. read more

Drove over half an hour in traffic to get to them. These people are certainly not interested in your business but more concerned with stuffing their face with food. I had the intent to look and buy a washer and dryer stackable, When I walked up to the place there was a sign on their door that said out to lunch. Saw people eating inside, decided to call and ask to show me their equipment but refused to open their doors since they insisted on finishing their food and to not be disturbed, apparently all employees took their lunch break all at the same time and couldn't stand the thought of putting their food down to attend to a customer. Don't waste your time, I looked through the window and it looked like a whole in the wall that would just overprice what they have. Plus they take over an hour for a lunch break all at once in the middle of a business day! Nevertheless, a waste of time! Poor business ethics, will never bother going back. read more

My wife and I walked in looking for a refrigerator , washer an dryer for a reasonable price . One thing that caught our eyes were that they greeted my wife and I once we stepped into their store. I have bought four appliances from 3R. They will always be my first visit to shop for an appliance, because I like the prices, selection, and service if I have a problem. I can afford new appliances, but I like recycling old ones-- particularly when older appliances like dryers and washers have features I like. (hot water rinse etc) Years after purchase, when I have needed new parts, the repair service works pretty well and is reasonable. read more

I stopped by the store to ask about repairing an in-wall microwave. The attendant offered to have a technician come by my home that afternoon between 4 and 5 and took my address and phone number.
