I have been dealing with Juan since 4/29/21, his initial visit was great. He was prompt to arrive at scheduled time, he answered his phone, he diagnosed the fridge within minutes. I paid him, he ordered the part to be installed 5/3/21. 5 days later the tenant using the fridge informs me it's still leaking, I call 5/12 multiple times with no answer, I email no answer. I was able to get him on the phone 5/13, and he went to check fridge for same issue 5/14. He claimed there was a piece of foam stuck in a hose causing the leak, but that he removed it and all is well now. Well the very next day, I talk to the tenant and she says the fridge is still leaking. And Juan advised her to call him if there are any issues. This bothered me, Bc the tenant is NOT the paying customer. I PAID and I am having a hard time reaching him. Long story short 6/13, I have the same Problem with the fridge. With no response from Dr Appliances. It's extremely frustrating, I am being strung along so the warranty will end up void and he won't be responsible anymore. read more

Juan and Ramiro were both very helpful and professional on phone when setting up the appointment. Juan was our technician and did a fantastic job! Our job wasn't diagnostic, we only needed fridge doors removed and reinstalled, but Juan was the consummate professional. He communicated throughout the process, cleaned the fridge doors, and was quick and efficient. I found the pricing to be more than fair. We had a new gas range to be installed and after contacting several companies including the crew from Best Buy who were supposed to be able to install and said they couldn't , we called Dr. Appliances. They responded quickly, were available the next day and installed our new appliance in a short period of time even though it wasn't a straight forward job. Damn, I called him to fix a compressor. He came and looked at it and told me he needed to go get a part and he be back at 2:00pm (it was 11:30am). He never showed up. I called him directly and he he didn't pick up. I texted him and he didn't answer. I called the office number and he didn't know it was me and pick up. Told me he went to do another job, never told me that up front. Then I told him ok call me when your done. He said ok and never called me. I just called right now, both numbers, no he's not picking up either number. This is my first review. EVER. Worst company ever, WORST tech ever. I wish I could give them negative stars. Great service We had a washer break down while caring for my mother in law who is on hospice we needed the washer fixed ASAP as we were going thru towels and sheets more then normal, we called a few different services and was told no one could come until Monday, which was a few days from when we called. Dr. Appliance was right on target getting out to us the same day, replacing the washer switch, Juan the tech was kind courteous respectful of my mother in law. I was impressed how they texted me letting me know where he was and when he would be there. Price was compared to any other company, the difference is the CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called this company base on the reviews, I have an Asko dishwasher showing an F-11 Error (Drain Hose obstructed), They sent Vairon the next day, he looked at it checked I couple of things and told me I needed a new pump and he will let me know the cost of it and estimate to changed it. The estimate total was $135 for the pump and $159 for labor. Total $294+ tax. I decided to pull out the Dishwasher out myself and look it, I found a kink on the drain hose, replaced with new hose $16.00 from Home Depot and all is good now. I feel he should have pull out the dishwasher before he diagnosed anything. I still have to pay the $85.00 fee for them to come out an give me a wrong diagnosis. Zero Star if they had the option. I called Saturday April 30 @ 12:48 pm. A lady picked up, I gave her the details on the issue I was having with my refrigerator, I heard a male voice in the background tell her to take the appointment and they can fix it. She set me up for Monday from 3-5pm. Informing me that there will be a $85.00 fee for them to come out to to see what the problem is. She asked if I was going to be paying cash or card and I told her cash. I called me boss telling him I need to leave work early for this reason. Here we are Monday 4:47 pm I call and a gentleman picked up and I said, "I had an appointment with you guys today from 3-5pm and it is now 4:47 and no one has arrived, I wanted to know the status. He checked and told me there's no one with an appointment today with my name or address. I explained to him my conversation Saturday afternoon and he said he will call the technician to see if he has an appointment on his phone and forgot to input it in the system, he will call me back in 10 min. 30 min has passed and no one called me back. Here are photos for proof that I made these calls to this business. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone this is ridiculous! Within 2 months the fridge was broken again and because he put in a generic part it busted the compressor and we are now forced to buy a new $ 3k+ fridge. I have been using this company for 5+ years. They always get the job done right, but waiting for parts to come in can stretch your patience if your fridge is dying. Good news, they came out on a Saturday to fix the last repair once the parts were in. Not cheap, but likely fair compared to other companies. I am guessing they bill labor at about $125 an hour based on my last bill and two trips to my home. read more

Excellent customer service. Sent a request for a quote via Yelp, they replied right away & were able to come out same day. They arrived exactly when they said they would & were nice enough to call me 30 mins before coming. They had to order A part for me and told me it would be in the next day in which it was then we schedule a time for them to come out and replace the part same thing as the day before they called me 30 minutes prior and showed up exactly on the time window that they said they would. They were quick to come out same day. Paid $450 to fix my freezer that wasn't cold enough. Three days later my entire refrigerator wasn't cold enough. I called 3 times, no pick up and voice mail box was full. Texted and received no response. A month later, still have not received any communication back. We bought a refrigerator from Sears, after two years it broke. We have warranty and provided as the parts of the refrigerator.. However, their services are horrible and rescheduled our repair 3 times. We don't have a back up refrigerator and we needed it ASAP. We called Dr Appliances and installed the parts right away. The almost 6 weeks wait from Sears, only 2 days wait from Dr Appliances. By June our refrigerator was acting up again. Poor choice of brand. We called Dr Appliances again hoping that they can help us and get a discount since we are a previous customer. They arrived and diagnosed it. Identified that our freon needs refill. We noticed our GE side by side refrigerator/freezer just wasn't staying cool. What to do? After reading some very poor reviews of some repair companies I read the reviews for Dr. Appliances. Juan arrived on a Saturday. Diagnosed the issue and gave us a price that was much less then we were worried it might be. My LG refrigerator that is supposed to be so reliable needed repair at a few months after the warranty expired. Dr Appliance came out charge $550 to put in a new compressor which was free from LG, it frosted over that's not cooling the refrigerator or freezer enough, they came out again or did another part and that didn't work either a third repair part was ordered and 5 1/2 weeks had elapsed. All of my frozen food had to be discarded a lot of my refrigerator food had to be discarded hundreds of dollars and the refrigerator still wasn't repaired. Called Reliable appliance who said the part that's ordered will cost you five or $600 to install. Buy a new refrigerator. Which is when I did and I will never use Dr Appliance again read more

Our oven was out and when I called to explain the person I talked to was very receptive and let me make an appointment for two days later, which is what I requested. The person who serviced our house was there on time, easily diagnosed the problem and cost to fix it (which I found out was very middle of the road so I do not believe I was overcharged at all). He did not have the part so went to get it, came back in the 30 minute time frame he gave me, installed the new part, and my oven has been working perfectly since.
