He repaired a door frame to a bedroom, fixed a broken storm door, replaced marble tile in our foyer, installed a missing sliding closet door, and procured and installed beautiful luxury plank vinyl flooring for a bedroom. I was very impressed with Spiro's eye for detail during our initial walk-through. He explained that his fee includes evening out imperfections in the walls and even conducting minor repairs. And he did come through the house prior to the first big paint day to spackle and plaster. The house was partially empty as we were in the process of moving in, but did have some furniture and boxes scattered around. Spiro and his team worked together with our interior decorator to plan out the various paint colors -- we used eight different colors. They also worked carefully around the stuff we had in the house. We also used wallpaper on seven walls, which Spiro's son Dion subcontracted out to a guy he's worked with frequently, Wilfredo. Wilfredo and his team did an awesome job on the paper -- aligning it carefully, doing a masterful job covering outlet plates, and even wrangling peel and stick wallpaper. Even more, Spiro was willing to come back on a few occasions when we had questions or needed a touch up because we stupidly made a deep scratch in our new front door after only a day (d'oh). And on top of all that, Spiro and Dion are such nice guys. I can't recommend them highly enough and we will definitely work with them again in the future.

I keep hearing over and over about "new trends and changes" but ~ TLD is a BEST Representation of how Old can consistently be made New again. Each handyman was cut out of the same mold - on time, respectful, upfront on costs, and superior work skills. Recently, Tony was brought to our house as the dry wall in the garage was about to fall. Mr. Handyman office quickly notified Tony who drove immediately to our house and began the work to repair. Afterwards we asked him to rework the drywall and support for the whole garage, repair all paneling after 33 years of neglect, and paint ceiling and rest of the garage. Tony was personable, extremely neat, kept us informed of his progress, and delivered an unbelievable sight of richness to our garage. As he was leaving I asked Tony if he could add handles to the shower area even though this was not on his work order. He did so willingly and worked overtime to be sure we were pleased. The salesman, Scott, helped me through the entire process. He came to my house and measured and called me within a few days with an estimate. When I went into the showroom again, he had several samples picked out in my color range. He did not try to sell me the most expensive carpet or padding, but recommended a very nice quality. About three weeks later, it was installed. The two men who did the install were on time, very polite and respectful of my home. They did a fabulous job. It's an old house, with a tight space, and an endless amount of obstacles to overcome in order to pull it off. We interviewed about 6 contractors and collected a number of quotes. A few contractors were not up to the task, while a few came back with either extraordinarily high or absurdly low quotes- and all of them had wonky solutions that seemed impractical. Then came Dominic. Dominic came in with a creative mind. His experience and expertise allowed him to problem solve and come up with a fantastic solution that met all of our needs, and more wants that we could've hoped for. Even more, his quote made sense. He wasn't the cheapest, or the most expensive, but he was fair. Due to a medical issue, there was a massive delay on our end getting started, yet Dominic remained flexible. Once we were finally underway, I was floored at how quickly he and his team worked. They showed up every day, on time, and worked precisely and efficiently. We were dreading having people in our home for several weeks, but his team was lovely to have around! They were polite, kind, helpful, and most importantly, skilled. I was working on several side projects (painting, refinishing cabinets, etc) and they always jumped in to help if they saw me struggling to carry something or lift something heavy. Every day they left the space cleaner than they found it. Not only are they skilled, it is clear they have an incredible work ethic and are just kind people. During the project, we wanted to change the scope a few times by adding in some flooring and a few other things that shifted the project a bit. Once again, Dominic remained flexible. He was there to offer advice- both in helping us stay within budget, while not compromising quality. And despite expanding the scope mid-project, he and his team only needed a few additional days to complete those requests. I've never hired a contractor for this scale of project before and I've heard all of the nightmares about poor quality work, lack of communication, surprise project fees, and delays in completion. We experience none of that with Top Notch Contractors. Dominic and his team delivered everything they promised and more. There were no billing surprises at the end of the project and even though we were satisfied with everything, he and his team were still touching up little things as they were walking out of the door. If you're looking for the Goldilocks of contractors- one who is skilled, fairly priced, and delivers on their promises, you can't go wrong with Dominic at Top Notch Contractors. My father now has a safe & beautiful space and we could not be more grateful.

We were fortunate though because even with the pictures we sent David, he still wanted to come out to see in person what was going on with the leak. The same day we called, he came out. They didn't charge us like it was an emergency like companies like roto-rooter would. They ended up replacing a copper sewer pipe (our house is from the 60s) running from the upstairs bathroom down to the kitchen pantry. It only took them two days for the repairs and others have stated the estimates and final cost were very reasonable. We hope to use DDL again in the future.
