Wow, Medford, nicely done! I grew up in Medford and when my sister and I come back to visit now…read morewith our own kids, there aren't a lot of options for indoor activities when the weather is bad and/or the kids are stir-crazy. I heard about Huey's a year or so ago when it opened and we were finally able to stop in the Friday after Thanksgiving around 10am. For the first 30 min or so, we had the whole place to ourselves after which several other families came to play. Huey's is new, bright, very clean and has great facilities for nursing/restrooms, and activity area for classes/camp activities and birthday parties. There are two floors of play areas with an elevator available for those in need. The size feels just right for the area, not enormous, but certainly big enough for 20-25 kids to play at one time. I can't stress enough the quality of the exhibits/play areas here. Most of the play areas are right on par with large city children's museums. We live in Madison and Cleveland now, respectively, and visit the CMs there and we were both quite impressed with the offerings at Huey's. No, there isn't an enormous, elaborate climbing gym or a water play room here, but that sort of thing would bust almost any budget and - let's be honest - the kids don't care as long as what IS there is fun and new and that is definitely true of Huey's. I love that Huey's isn't trying to copy other places, but rather to highlight attributes of the Taylor County area like agriculture, manufacturing, and the outdoors which are the focus of several exhibits. There are the standard exhibits like grocery store and doctors office which are very well done, but also some great unique ones. Our favorites were the barn/chicken coop area, the fishing pond, dentist office and the hair salon! There is even a great little gift shop area with adorable Huey's merchandise for purchase along with a nice assortment of educational toys and of course SNACKS. There are a couple of small picky things I'd improve: - moving the pretend flower garden lower to the floor since at the age of kids likely to play with this they are too short to reach - fix up the dark room area as some of the exhibits didn't seem to work and the pipe wall was missing several magnets Overall Huey's is a breath of fresh air that you won't find the likes of almost anywhere in Northern Wisconsin. This place is such an amazing addition to my hometown and a high-quality, affordable afternoon of fun for the kids. Definitely recommend making a stop there if you're in town and even driving in from surrounding areas for a day trip; you won't be disappointed.

What a super cool place to avoid the heat or snow and have your kids burn off some energy. We were…read morechatting with a dad at a local outdoor playground and he mentioned GNG as a new-ish spot he brings his toddler to. After the heat took its toll, we decided to head over to GNG for some indoor fun. It is located in the midst of a sea of warehouses but you're not lost...it has a huge jungle gym space that requires those tall ceilings. The space is clean, as are the restrooms, with hand sanitizer throughout as well. There are snacks, drinks, and coffee for purchase. The prices are affordable and we opted for the $15 combo passes for the three kids to play in the gym and play 18 holes of mini golf. The play space is enclosed with socks required, so bring those with you (or purchase at GNG). There is an abundance of seating for parents to sit outside the play space or you can go in at no cost as a spectator. Our kids (7 & 11) loved both the jungle gym and the mini golf. There was no one in the large mini golf area and it is black lit and decorated in a pirate and nautical theme that was a lot of fun. I honestly would come back here to play mini golf without my kids with friends or my spouse. With kids was great, too, but the mini golf is also adult-friendly. The arcade was extremely expensive and not worth it, in our opinion. Makes sense, as they likely also pay a game rental company for use of the games. The one item our kids had success with and happiness from was a rubber duck claw machine that guarantees a winner. In general, this was an amazing place that we can't wait to come back to when we are back in town. Amazing find. Thanks, park dad!

A group of my teenage friends went to Reboot and enjoyed a very nice meal with a very nice server…read more When we finished our meal, my group was discussing how much we were tipping. We split our checks, and our meals were around $13-$17. Three out of six of us tipped over $20, one paid for her $8 meal with a $10 bill and told the server to keep the change, one tipped less than $20, and one didn't get anything. In context, our discussion was about trying to one-up each other with our tips, and a random server, with no context, said something along the lines of, "If you guys are going to be tipping low, I suggest you don't speak so loud." We explained that we were not tipping low, but she then reported us to the manager on duty. We thanked our server for helping us, and before heading downstairs, we were discussing our tips while passing the manager. The manager stopped us and said that we didn't have to be rude and that we shouldn't be rude to her servers or we would be kicked out. I explained to her that we were not being rude, that we tipped her server well, and that we appreciated Reboot since the majority of us have been there often. I then explained that we were not trying to be rude to her or her servers, and I apologized if she felt that way. I explained that we would be downstairs hanging out and having fun if that was alright with her. She disregarded everything I said and repeated that if we kept being rude, we would be kicked out. We headed downstairs, and the darts were broken, which wasted many of our tokens, but we did not want to bother the staff more than we clearly already had, so we spent the rest of the night playing pool. I have never had a bad experience at Reboot until now and feel like, as customers, our feelings were not heard. We did tip well and feel as though we were being stereotyped for being teenagers. We believe it wasn't right for the other server to be rude to us or report us to her manager, especially out of context. The server that did help us we thanked him for his service and told him to have a nice night.
