There are no prices listed on anything and the guy at the counter just makes them up on the spot. I've started checking msrp and he's always at least 20-25% over. I've lived a few blocks away from here going on 11 years now. Every 6 months or so I give it another shot but I think I've had enough. It's great to have a small shop like this for when you have that last minute ice run, or want a fun drink but don't want to go down Gallatin. They have a HUGE selection of beers, cbd drinks, sodas, and more. Granted they don't have any prices marked, but to be fair not at lot of shops around here do anyway. You'll get the same couple of guys working the register and they've been friendly and polite while I've been in. They did recently get their parking lot redone which is great, it's nice to not bottom out when you pull in here. I'll keep coming here because it's local and I'd rather support them over another chain. But it'd be nice to know what everything costs before getting to the register. read more

I would give this place 3-5 stars for selection and convenience if it weren't for the fact that the owner (?) smokes the place up to high-heaven (it really reeks in there) and seems to charge whatever suits him. And it's super convenient (for him) that you can't see what he's ringing up on the register. I'm not forgetful and I know that on my visit there today, he charged me $3 more than last time for the same item. When I asked what he charged, he mumbled under his breath. When I wouldn't budge, he offered me a receipt. There are no prices on any of the beverages, so I guess he just marks it all up as he pleases. Don't get me wrong...it's great to have a quick little convenience market like this in the neighborhood where you can pop in to buy beer, a pack of smokes or random little snacks. Unfortunately, it's just not that clean, the variety of beer is limited and they don't carry my brand of cigarettes. The staff at the 4 Way Market is nice enough, but there is often a pretty seedy collection of riffraff hanging around the area. If you need to pop in to pick up a six-pack of Budweiser, this is a pretty good spot. You won't need to go all the way to Shelby, and it's near Lipstick Lounge and Mad Donna's. It's just not exactly the nicest convenience mart you'll come across (not that I know of any particularly classy convenience marts). read more

The BEST selection of alcohol. They have stuff I've never even heard of and enjoy trying. Great local market.

The four way market get points for convenience, but loses points for just about every other feature. It's just generally dingy. There are signs that the owner has put effort into the atmosphere in spurts, like the flower box sign out front, but not many. If all you need is a pack of smokes before you head to the bar or a six-pack of beer on your way home, as long as the smokes and beer are both common domestic brands, the 4 Way Market will do. If your tastes are more particular or if you have time to go somewhere else however, do. read more

I'd say it's fair to note that all the "negative" reviews of this place were written over three years ago. I mostly go here to buy beer, and that selection has since improved. Markedly. The 4 Way Market probably has the best micro-brew / import selection for a pure convenience store in all of Nashville, and gives even the specialty beer shops a run for their money. And the prices are about right. Add that they're open until midnight, and conveniently located in the heart of East Nashville, and you've got yourself a neighborhood winner. It does, on occasion, smell like a bit of an employee-induced smoking bar, but if that bothers you, just choose your beer quicker. My boss likes to say "I'm all out of Schlitz" when he's out of ideas. Now he never will be again because 4 Way Market sells it. As for the place itself, as previous reviews state, it does smell very strongly of Cigarettes. Like someone inside started smoking one in 1965 and hasn't stopped since then. There IS a good collection of different beers here, and it was the only place in Nashville I could find that sells Schlitz, but there are other places in Nashville that probably have a larger overall selection. One benefit here though is almost every beer is cold, So if you're also looking for a COLD Schlitz, you're in luck. read more

I've been in East Nashville 15 years plus. This was my go to until I realized Mo was high all the time and prices were different. I decided tonight after the tornado ect to give him business. I chose Coors Light Seltzer 12 pack. He says 22 bucks. I said no way he fights with me trying to justify the price. I get in my car he motions me to come back in. These dudes don't put the prices on most the beers and several times I've gotten different prices for same beer and I mean like 2 dollar difference. Talk about a variety of beers in the cooler... I go here on my way home to grab some ice cream, a beer, a lighter.. They know me, they treat me like a Queen.. I love that they have the same employees, year after year and they know me and are quite conversational with me. Nice little neighborhood market. read more

I live right between the 4 Way Market and the 4 Stop Market and while the 4SM is actually a little closer in walking distance, I would still walk to the 4 Way - not only for their selection of beer, but the people working there are so much friendlier! Plus I like that they keep up with their flowers outside and general cleanliness. Judging from past reviews, this place must have been through a lot of changes. This place WILL rip you off. Go figure?!? I asked for a pack of cigarettes in which they were clearly marked $.50 off of the pack, from the manufacture. He refused to deduct the amount off saying "his boss" wouldn't allow that... Really?? So not only does he scam the measly fifty cents. He also makes an additional 5 cents on tax. It's not about the money, it's principal. I'm by far as frugal individual, but I will save if it's that convenient. Pablo loves this place, they claim to have the largest selection of craft beer in Nashville and they might come pretty close, super unpretentious, Service is super friendly, mad almost. It always seems to be raining when we run in here. A little further from our crib than the 4 Stop but worth the extra blocks. read more

They carry Abita, Purple Haze in 12-pack cans, oh yes they do - and I'm definitely a fan of that fun fact!! Do you know just how difficult it is to find Abita in CANS?? Anywhere? See, look: ya can't carry glass onto any public beach, plus koozie's are cool, (Matthew McConaughey even said so). So if you plan to carry your suds onto the sand, ya gotta have them in a can. Disgusting. I was in here for a few minutes, the place smelled like a stale ashtray. The items I bought smelled nasty and there was a gross haze on all the merchandise and windows. My kid complained of their clothes smelling after we left. Employees were openly smoking behind the counter. Decent beer selection, but I lost my appetite. read more
