Very large and clean store. I went to check out their whiskies and store barrel picks and this store did not disappoint. Lots of ryes and bourbons to choose from, as well as a good Scotch/Irish section and even some American whiskies to choose from. The staff I interacted with were cordial. Not overly friendly, but this location is midtown and I'm sure the staff hears the normal out of owner questions all the time (You know what I mean there Bourbon hunters!). I unfortunately did not find a bottle I had to bring home with me, so left empty handed. But... if you are in the area and have some time, check out this store. This place is massive and features around 12,000 sq ft of booze from floor to ceiling...like no joke, their shelves go to the ceiling in many parts of the store! It's easy to get overwhelmed in a place this big that features so many options, but a few things that help here are the signs for each area/variety of booze, the layout/sections and the staff that are wondering around in effort to provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance when needed! Overall, Midtown Corkdorks is a solid spot in a fantastic location that offers a massive variety of all things wine, spirits and beer. Outside of all the booze they even have a selection of cigars, cheese, frozen meals and a few other specialty items. This was my first stop in Nashville after checking in to our hotel. When I used to live in NC, one of my favorite beers was Gaelic Ale which was put out by Highland Brewing. Sadly, I couldn't find it here in Texas. I had been hoping to have it again just not sure it would happen. I was elated to find out that CorkDorks carried it, along with some of their other beers. I was floored by the number of beers and other libations they carried. The aisles are a bit narrow to navigate but it is a small price to pay to be able to have that much selection. Prices are on par with what I usually pay here in TX. They even have a humidor too! Service was okay, but I didn't need much help to find what I was looking for. The exterior of the building was very modern looking, and there were quite a few guitars adorning the interior walls. Very appropriate given the location. If I resided here in TN, I would definitely be a frequent visitor. read more

Terrible business practices from the owner who was "to busy" to even come down and talk to me - the customer. The poor manager clearly has had to deal with this stuff before from the owner. He looked like he was ready to quit. Judging by previous reviews, I can understand why. I wasn't expecting much from a downtown liquor store, but I was so surprised and impressed! An incredible selection of whiskey, bourbon, rum, tequila, wine and craft beer. I walked in a was immediately greeted by the expansive craft beer section and the amount of good IPAs and bourbon barrel aged beers had my mouth watering. I went with a friend who's a bartender and he was very impressed with the amount of liqueurs and mixology basics that they had. We got lucky and had a couple representatives there from local whiskey company's, so we got to try something new which is always a plus. Their pricing is fairly competitive, not a huge difference on price if you were out of downtown. The staff walking around offering to help really makes for a great shopping experience too. They aren't pushy or pretentious here, which I know can be a problem at wine shops. Parking was easy in the middle of the day, which I wasn't expecting. read more

Nice to find this place so close to my apartment. I wasn't sure at first if they were open secondary to the construction up front but I stopped. The young man who assisted me (didn't catch his name) was super nice & helpful. I was looking for a particular brand of wines (McBride Sisters) and he knew exactly who they were and found what they had in stock for me (Chardonnay, Riesling & Sparkling Brut). I live in Midtown less than a block away, and have been coming here to purchase wine, beer, ciders etc for the last 10 months. Today we purchased a small whip shot, got it home and the CO2 wasn't working. Brought it back in showed and explained it did not work. I was treated horribly by what I believe is the manager as I got passed through 3 staff members explaining it did not work. I was scuffed at and told " I guess you can have another one if you want." Im not sure if this is a frustrated business now that the new Cambria hotel opened and you treat tourist horrible, but I'm a frequent customer and this was by far some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I will no longer be giving my business to cork dorks and will deter anyone who lives in my complex to do the same. Shame on you. read more

I absolutely love this store. Midtown has a great selection of wine, beer, spirits, etc etc! It is also in a very convenient location and lots of parking. I came here looking for a specific wine ( Caymus Cabernet- Napa Valley). I highly recommend for my red wine drinkers looking to try something new. A bit pricey ($82 per bottle) but great for a special occasion. This wine was in stock and there were over at least two other rows of Cabernets that were available. I also picked up a bottle of Prosecco while there too and again a wide variety of selections from low to high end. There are even at least 20 different sparking wines that are refrigerated in this same section which is great if you are picking up a bottle of booze on the way to a gathering. There are two things I do not like about cork dorks. I have ordered several times for delivery and in conversation with the delivery man I find that the 10% that they add on as a tip is not given to the delivery person. I don't know what to call this except a form of wage theft. Also, a tip is voluntary, this fee is not.( I always tip delivery people in cash) Apparently, the "tip" goes for deliver vehicle maintenance. My friends had to come looking for me in this store because I was stuck in the whiskey section marveling over their selection. I didn't even make it past to the other parts of the store! They had an EXTENSIVE selection of brown spirits. Being a whiskey drinker I was in heaven. Staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. Very snoody staff. Was about to be a paying customer and when I asked to use the restroom the security guard pointed me to a door. Then when I attempted to enter, other staff said the janitor had locked it and left already. I asked if the janitor is the only one with a key and the staff got sarcastic saying there are no public restrooms. They said it almost as a point of pride. They don't get that the customers are the reason they pay their bills. This isn't a library where homeless people are just using the facilities. If you have a sharp dressed person who's going to be a paying customer, why act like you are some rink-a-dink hole in the wall convenience store that doesn't have a restroom. Have some more class, stop waiting for the opportunity to announce you don't have public restrooms. Since employees are members of the public, they don't have restrooms either? It's very rare to find a liquor store with both a huge selection and great prices. If you've spent time in Southern California, Corkdorks has a similar selection to BevMo! but with better prices. They have an incredible selection of beer, wine, and liquor, so there is something for everyone. I consistently find my favorite California and Oregon wines for prices that are either lower than or equal to what I paid in-state for them. They also have some unusual, hard-to-find wines and beers. I'm from the Willamette Valley and I have frequently come across older Oregon pinots that are nearly impossible to find outside of Oregon wine country. In addition to the already good prices, Corkdorks regularly has sales on certain sizes of different liquors. I recently bought a handle (1.75L) of Bombay Sapphire for less than $10 more than the regular sized fifth (.75L). I also look out for sales on some of my go-to wines. The customer service at Corkdorks is top-notch. Whenever I'm looking for a specific wine, an employee approaches me within minutes and immediately finds it, which is quite impressive given the size of the store's selection. The employees are super helpful and love talking about the products. If you like to be left alone or are just looking, it might feel like they are hounding you. However, they are genuinely just trying to be helpful. If you already know what you want, they have a great online ordering feature and will even bring everything out to your car when you arrive to pick it up. read more

Kids in a candy shop. My friend and I shopping for booze to get us through the bachelorette weekend were just this in Midtown Wine & Spirits. We were able to walk over from the Hutton Hotel to this land of libations. First off, wooden carts. What? Where do you even get these?! So cute. We take our adorable wooden cart inside this cathedral chock-full of all the booze, beer, bubbles, and vinos galore (say vinos with a Spanish accent to get the "b" effect) you can imagine. They also have a wide variety of mixers and a handful of limes (of which we cleaned them out of, pretty much). We found prices to be reasonable and the staff was ready to help us, gaping mouths and wide-eyed as we were, with no judgment. We Dr. Seuss'd this place. Big bottles, little bottles, liquor bottles and bottles filled with bubbles. They have nearly every itty bitty bottle you can imagine, hello stocking stuffers! We spent at least two crisp Benjamins at MW&S on booze and bubbles. They helped us put are boozy booty in sturdy boxes for us to call an Uber and help us get back to the hotels, only 3'ish blocks away. Let's just say it took at least a week to recover from this epic weekend. I wish we had this beautiful bounty of booze in New Orleans, wooden carts and all! read more
