He's always willing to interact with his customers to help them find what they need as well as to find news ways to improve his shop. Also, you just can't beat the price at $3 per movie or TV series ($5 for blu-ray). I have bought hundreds of movies here and never has one so much as skipped. The owner was very pleasant who made sure to acknowledge every customer and made sure they were finding what they were looking for, while keeping the music flowing. This place is a little more unique, compared to other record store that I've been to in the area. This place not only has nice used and new vinyl at respectable prices, but they also have vintage audio equipment such as tube amps!! Be still my heart. If you're not in the market to buy, I hear they also do repairs on audio equipment if your setup needs some TLC. What if you're not quite certain on a particular record? If a business is going to be closed during a time they are normally open, there should at least be a note on the door saying "closed today due to illness" or whatever it might be. I don't buy music anywhere else. Period…read more The Long Ear has been my favorite place to shop for new tunes for years now, and is just one of the coolest stores to browse. The two guys I see in there most often are really nice, have great recommendations and make you feel welcome. Whenever I'm questioning a new band, new album, etc, I can ask someone in there for an opinion, and I've never been steered in the wrong direction. They also sell music for independent musicians, which is rare. On their wall of CD's to sample, you'll see at least half a dozen local artists. This place also has a good selection of posters, other music memorabilia, incense, assorted decorations and knick-knacks. Great prices, all new releases sell for around $3-4 off for the first two weeks. If you want to casually stick it to the man, then stop going to Wal-Mart for your music, and start shopping at the Long Ear.
