If you're considering buying a car from this KIA dealership, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The level of incompetence, unprofessionalism, and outright arrogance I experienced at this dealership was shocking. I initially visited to check out the K4 GT-Line, but right away, the sales rep gave me the runaround. He said they only had one in stock and that someone was coming to look at it on Saturday--as if that was somehow my problem or relevant to my visit. Regardless, I asked if we could proceed with the test drive, and he agreed. Then, suddenly, there was an "inventory error", and the car I came to see wasn't even available. Instead, he offered the EX model, which was fine--I test-drove it, and everything went smoothly. Afterward, I asked for pricing on both models, and this is where the dealership's lack of professionalism really started to show. The sales rep goes to the sales manager for pricing, returns, and gives me the numbers. He then goes back again to get pricing. At this point, I mentioned a demo model listed on their clearance board and asked for its pricing as well. instead of doing his job properly, he sits in his chair and lazily says, "Oh, it's almost the same." Excuse me? A demo model vs. a brand-new car should NOT have the same price. I had to push him to actually do his job and get the correct pricing. He finally goes back, but this time, he returns with the so-called "sales manager"--only to tell me that the demo model was already sold out. Well then, UPDATE YOUR BOARD. Why is a sold-out car still being advertised? This just shows how unorganized and misleading this dealership is. Then, the real disaster happens. The sales manager--instead of offering assistance--jumps straight into high-pressure tactics, asking: "Can we do something to finalize a deal today?" I responded NO, because I planned to make my final decision next week. That should have been the end of the conversation. But no--he kept pushing. He asks, "Just curious, why?" (As if I owe him an explanation.) I simply said, "I have some things to take care of." (Which, again, is none of his business.) Then he gets even more condescending, saying, "Oh, just wondering--people usually come in when they're ready to buy." At this point, I called him out and asked, "Is there a problem if I came in a week early?" Instead of answering like a professional, he backtracks and tries to gaslight me, saying: "Why are you getting defensive? We're just trying to get to know each other." What a joke. First, he questions my reason for being there and pressures me to buy. Then, when I push back, he acts like I'm the problem? This is NOT how you treat customers. Stay Far Away If this is how this KIA dealership treats serious buyers, I can't even imagine how much worse their after-sales service must be. The sales rep was lazy and unhelpful, the inventory was mismanaged, and the sales manager was outright rude, pushy, and condescending. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. There are plenty of dealerships that will respect you, provide honest service, and actually appreciate your business. This Kia dealership is not one of them. Take your money elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service. 2015 kia optima had a defective engine. Was without a car for over a month. When I finally got my car back all rotors were corroded loud thumping noise while driving. No parking brake. This car was in perfect condition prior to bringing it to kia other than their defective engine. Same Gas in the car from October 2022. BARE MIMIUMUM SERVICE. Will never EVER purchase a Kia again. Here's your new car but since they let it sit for months it's my fault. Makes zero sense. read more

They wouldn't cover reverse cam damaged clip when I have vehicle under warranty. Hanging cam with cheap plastic clips....charging 800 for whole unit....when issue is with broken camera clips....service department told me it would be covered...they stated not a manufacturer issue but can't prove it.... read more

They never hold accountable for any issue. they over promise just to make you buy or to make you live with the car issue if you had one and they never meet their promises. looks fancy but when it comes to actual communication regarding an issue the keep procrastinating until it's too late. Terrible experience buying a car i bought a car and after 3 days the car stopped working in the middle of the highway , i had to tow it to them and i had to get a rental car myself on my pocket and they said we are gonna reimburse you later on. the car had engine failure. the car stayed with them for almost a month and they refused to return it or change it. read more

I went to get my car repaired, when I went there, i mentioned there was a noise on the left side when I steer to the left, it didn't sound right, they took it for a test ride to hear the noise, they ended up fixing the right side, they said it was the belt, so I said, please fix this noise, After paying over $500. Dllrs, I leave the dealership and notice when I was coming home, the noise still persisted, went back to tell them that, and got 2different info, really upset me, they were asking for another $400 or more to fox what should've be fixed at the beginning. I would not recommend this Dealer Kia Location by Dixie/401 area. Bring someone who knows about cars to come with you anytime you need to fix your car!! read more

If you happen to read this prior to making a purchase at this dealership, please do not make the same mistake I did and have them install something for you on a brand new car. I bought a 2014 KIA Sorento in November and had them install a remote car starter. I failed to mention this in my original post but in hindsight, I can see this is where everything started to go downhill. The car was fully functional and in pristine condition, prior to the installation of my remote car starter. Then the navigation stopped working, a crack on the passenger side and steering wheel not put back together. They also took the liberty to point out that whoever caused this damage, did not use the proper tools to remove the Navigation unit and probably dropped something on the console without covering it. They stressed that the mechanic should have used plastic tools instead of a flathead screw driver. When they had my car in the shop for a couple of weeks working on the navigation unit, I had expressed my concern that I would be getting a car back in a used possibly damaged condition. Bait and Switch. If you feel like wasting a Sunday only to agree on a price that is not real make sure you stop at this dealer. After spending a lot of time picking out the car we wanted, agreeing on a final price and paying the deposit we almost bought the wrong car. When we were going over the details the model noted was a lower model then we were talking about the rest of the day. Not sure if the sales rep just make a mistake or that was the plan, but in the end they wanted an extra $2000 for a car that we already agreed to a price on. This was a terrible dealership. We knew the car we wanted so went here for just a test drive. Guy asked us to give him our credit card so he could talk to his manager for a price and just a price. Took the credit card to his manager and left it there so we were forced to sit there and play ball. Ends up coming out and SWIPES OUR CARD without telling us. Worst service ever. We bought a used 2006 Kia Sorento from them. Everything was fine, picked up the car no problem. After a few months noticed that the front tire was always low, so took it into the local shop to try and get it fixed. They couldn't remove the wheel because we didn't have the wheel lock key. No biggie, I thought, so I phoned 401 Dixie Kia and booked an appointment for an oil change, and I wanted them to change out the wheel lock keys using their master key and check the tire. The person on the phone said no problem, bring the car in and they would take care of me. So i brought the car in and reexplained my story to the service girl who said she would have to talk to sales to get it approved, since the wheel lock key should have been part of the car when it was sold. (Incidentally, you can't certify a car without it so since they certified the car that means they had fudged the certification). Anyways, I asked the service girl if she wanted me to go with her to sales to explain the situation and she said no. So an hour goes by and I see the car sitting outside. So I go to the service desk and they tell me they are all done, but the wheel locks are still on the car!, and they couldn't find anything wrong with the front tire! The service girl had done absolutely nothing to try and fix my problem, and later they said the sales person was sick and they needed his approval, so I would have to bring the car back another time. Since I live on the other side of the city, and only drove there to get this done that was inconvenient. Anyways, a month goes by and my wife picks up a screw outside our house (neighbors were renovating) on the back left tire and it is dead flat, and of course now we can't get the tire off because we don't have the key and my 4 months old son is screaming, so she can't take the car in. So I phone 401 Kia and ask them to come to the house with the key to remove the tire. The service guy says he will talk to his manager but never phones back. I phone the salesman who sold me the car and he never phones back. My wife phones them and they never phone back. So long and short, I have to take the day off work, put the car on a tow truck and tow it to their competitor (427 Kia) to get the wheel locks removed and the rear tire fixed. Interesting, I never told 427 Kia about the front wheel, but they happended to notice 2 little nails in it and they fixed that too. So now I'm in a $200 tow, plus the $68 bucks to remove the wheel lock keys and replace them with standard nuts, plus about 3 hours of my time for my initial visit, plus 5 hours for the subsequent tow and repairs. 401 Kia gets a failing grade for their service, half the time your phone call gets routed to the wrong department, or dropped and you need to phone back. Don't get me wrong, the kia has turned out to be a nice little suv, but the service there is so bad I won't ever go back. Screw you 401 Dixie Kia! read more

Not sure why all of the reviews are so negative - I found the dealership pretty pleasant as far as car dealers go...the salespeople were good to both myself (buyer) and my boyfriend when we asked for a test drive of a KIA Forte5. I eventually purchased the 2016 model through a demo program that KIA offers - it was driven by a KIA employee for about a year, and I financed it through the dealer at a pretty nice discount because of it! Hamid was my salesperson, he was very friendly and made the whole experience really comfortable - I didn't feel pressured to buy anything I didn't want through him or through the finance manager Amit. They both took time to answer my questions (there were a lot!) and were very communicative throughout the entire process. Hamid greeted us right away and took us out for a spin in the car, I had a great experience dealing with him and would definitely recommend him to any friends I have looking to buy a new car. My only complaint about the experience would be that I was never able to see what the service schedule would look like if I were to have purchased the extended warranty. I was apprehensive about the extended warranty and didn't want to purchase it without having more info - I did ask for it a couple of times, but no one seemed to be able to provide it. I ended up just sticking with my gut, and not extending the warranty past 4 years. read more

After making an appointment for an oil change it took them 3 hours & 50 minutes to do. After a few hours, apologies began to seem worthless. I was very disappointed. If all other KIA dealers are the same, then I regret buying a KIA. I will not be putting myself through this again anD I hope no one else will. **If there was a zero rating believe it I would have submitted it as such.** These guys are extremely unprofessional, dishonest and call for no good reason. Let me tell you a story. Two years ago I was looking for a car, we were limited with time and didn't have much time to look. The car was slightly overpriced, and if I was to look more I could have found it for less. Knowing this, I tried to negotiate a better deal. They wouldn't give in, but as I said we were in a rush and i did like the car so we proceeded with signing some papers. The FOLLOWING day, I find the car I signed for (no joke, exact same one!) for 200$ less than their "best" price to us the night before on Kijiji. We confront the sales guy, he apologizes, and gives us a ton of meaningless "perks" such as their VIP card or whatever. Within first few days, car starts to shake at 80kmh and above and make squeaking noises on turns. I take it back, they do an alignment, problem still there. Take it back again, they align AGAIN, problem still there. Third time, they finally figured their machine is out of whack and pay for me to get it done elsewhere. So much for VIP service. Rest assured, did not step foot in that dealership or shop anymore, was so sick of these people. What do they STILL do? They keep calling me about their "special events". What do they do when I tell them I am not interested? CALL ME AGAIN! Finally I got nasty on the phone with them today. How do I get rid of these guys? If anyone knows please advise. Thanks! 1 star is too many. DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE! They bought mine at auction with Car Fax, yet has visible damage that my mechanics spotted right away. So I greatly overpaid for a vehicle I thought was accident free but was not. Now they won't even answer my email! Told me they would throw in winter rims and tires for $900 just to bring the total price up and then told me they couldn't. Took me over a month and several emails just to get that back, and they tried to keep the HST. So I had to fight to get that money back. The mechanic who did the safety lost the key to remove the rims. Took 3 weeks to get that...Terrible experience. I suggest you stay away from this place altogether. Do not buy a used car here! I regret my purchase and I'm afraid you will as well. People need to stay away from businesses that take advantage of their customers and then refuse to take responsibility. The salesman that I dealt with was very nice but, for whatever reason, they wouldn't just let me negotiate with him and they kept bringing in other people who were much less pleasant to deal with. One of the salesmen wouldn't stop addressing my male friend, even though I made it clear that it was my car and my money. The initial offer that they presented was offensively low (so low that I would have left but for the fact that they had a very specific car that I wanted and there weren't many others around the city). When they were asking me about my trade-in, one question they asked was whether I had two keys for the car. However, they did not bother to tell me at that point that the car I was buying had only one key. They didn't tell me until all of the paperwork was done, I had withdrawn certified funds from my bank, etc. That is so shady. If it was important enough to ask me about, then it was important enough to disclose about the car that I was buying. I was left with a really bad taste in my mouth and I hope that the key doesn't stop working, or I will be really pissed off. Never been lied to so much in my life. They lied even about things that are easily verifiable, like the warranty expiry date. We were treated like we were born yesterday. We've had used car buying experiences before, but this was just the next level. When we looked at the car the first time it was practically brand new, absolutely spotless. They were supposed to do a couple of things to it. One week later we were told to come pick it up and that everything was ready. When we showed up, it turned out that NOTHING we agreed to was done. They were just pulling a fast one on us. Thank god we had everything written on the bill of sale. So we refused to pick it up till they actually did everything they promised. Took them another week to do it. They still didn't do everything as promised, just the bare minimum that we could hold them to, based on the ambiguous writing on the bill of sale. We picked up the car, because we couldn't wait any longer, and were absolutely sick of the lies. We were reasonably happy, since the car itself was really good. That was too good to be true. After checking the car in a better light within 15 minutes of driving away, we noticed that our previously spotless car now had a nice 2 inch paint scuff on the rear bumper. They dinged it!!! Obviously they would never admit to it. Talking about adding an insult to the injury. Would never recommend to anyone going there. If you do, don't believe a word they say, get everything in writing, and quadruple check everything before giving them any money. read more

Went to Dixe 401 kia today to get my oil changed... I have gone to the same place for 3 years now with my soul. When I got my soul free oil chage for life was included... Well they tell me the ownership has changed so they will no longer give me free changes... I told him that was the deal.. He then tells me that it cost them to much money to give me free changes all the time. I then say that was the deal when I got it..He tells me the free oil changes was worked into the deal. I dont get it.. first it cost them to much and after he tells me it was worked into my deal when I got it. Okay so does that mean you are keeping my money then and not giving me the services that I paid for when I purchased it... grrr... anyone have a dealership in the west end that actually cares... I was told the car I was purchasing had new tires on them, no more than 5000km. I picked the car up and told them the tires looked old and wasn't happy with them. They told me we would work with me to solving this issue...2 months later they are still giving me the run around and asked if I wanted to re-trade the vehicle in. I went to the owner who told me that I need to talk to one of the managers because he doesn't deal with problems....really? It's your name on the business ! read more

Worst service experience ever! I brought my 2012 Kia Optima this morning to have it checked/repaired as it was showing irregular/jerky start in reverse gear. The 3 year old car is still under 5 year warranty. A couple of hours later, I got a phone call from the service manager saying that I needed to pay for transmission fluid flush. According to Optima's manual, it is scheduled for 96,000 Km or 48 months. My car had 74,000 km and 36 months. So I could not agree to pay for something that is not due yet. And they said they could not start fixing the problem unless I pay for the transmission fluid flushing. The message was clear: Pay for it or take the car back as is. When I had a similar experience with Chrysler Cooksville, where I had my transmission fixed under their power-train warranty, I was not asked to pay for the fluid change. It was simply a part of the warranty repair. I chose to buy Kia as it had a very good warranty. Now I have to think twice before I ever decide to consider buying a Kia again. read more

Bought a car here a few years back. During the negotiations, I was preparing to walk away as I felt I wouldn't be able to handle the payments just yet (had 2 remaining on our first family vehicle). To sweeten the deal, the salesman offered to make those payments for us. He promised to give us two cheques of $500 dollars each. We did receive one initially, however when the second one never materialized we went back to the dealer who pretended he had no idea what we were talking about. At first he pretended to not know who we were even though we had bought the car from him two weeks prior. The salesman had also promised to give us $1000 for our worthless trade in which we were only really given $300. Avoid this shady place at all costs. read more
