Called in the morning to make an appointment for an ear piercing. Was told they take walk -ins…read more Arrive to a note on the door "be right back" Figured I'd wait since I already put an hour in the paid meter parking outside. I take the opportunity to walk around. Stopped in at the Los Poblanos Norte bar/mercantile, go in to Shrine/ Ex Voto and I bought a very nice gold diamond stud I figure will be a great piece for my new piercing. Go back to ikigai, it's now an hour later, no one is back. Bottom line, waited two hours and I see people entering the shop, I go to enter, and they inform me that they are closing early. So disappointed. They might as well close for good if that is the level of professionalism they can muster up. I will never go back there or recommend to anyone.

Service was fast, but my experience was bad…read more I went in to change my nose stud to a ring, and after 10 minutes of the guy jamming a ring through the hole he decided that the piercing was too fresh (I've had it for 6 months) and put my stud back in. Not only did this process make my piercing bleed, but he also requested that I pay for this. Not great. The place was clean, which was a plus, but the jewelry is also quite expensive. Not worth it in my opinion.

The employee who helped us was very attentive and my mom was the 2nd customer waiting. The piercing is free; however, you must purchase a pair of earrings (cheapest pair was 40.00). The employee (didn't get her name) was very patient with my elderly mom (80) and very nice as well. Overall, the entire process probably took 20 min or so and my mom was very pleased with the process.

Made an online appointment a week prior to get my mom's ears pierced and even received a follow up…read moreemail confirming the appointment. When we arrived, we could not understand the employee on duty (some jibberish about the wifi). The employee was nice, but I could not understand her as she kept babbling about something with their information. When I asked her again what the issue was, she explained more clearly that something was wrong with their wifi and they could not take down my mother's information manually for the ear piercing (they fill out the info on a tablet). I wish they would have taken the time to contact us to let us know as if this would have been the sole purpose of driving here I would have been really pissed. Luckily, there was an ear piercing kiosk right in front of Claire's (how ironic) and we were still able to get my mom's ears pierced.
