Total Wine & More... with a little extra emphasis on "more" for me. Lol. I like wine, but I don't drink it like I used to. Their selections are always outstanding in my opinion. They offer samples on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Their whiskey and vodka sections is what I came for on March 18, 2024. I picked up a 750 ml. Longhorn Texas whiskey bottle ($19.99) for me and some Classic Club vodka ($12.49) for the cowboy. The Platinum dill pickle cashews by Star Snacks Co ($5.99) were a fun snack the rest of my trip to Colorado. Didn't get any assistance much less a hi from staff members although my cashier was friendly. Ditzy as hell, but friendly. The prices are extremely affordable. Very rude staff they are absolutely knowledgeable about their products but are not respectful if you're there late at night and will shut the metal door on you so you have to force open the sliding doors and duck under the metal gate. Needs new management. read more

We love the Total Wine & More in Albuquerque but this was a strange experience visiting the one in Santa Fe. I asked the gentleman I encountered working there for direction to the moscato selection and he looked annoyed before giving me directions. I made my selection and made my way to the front while my husband went to the bathroom. When I went to checkout, the lady told me, "I can't check you out because you came in with a man and he could be underage and you could be buying for him. I need to see his ID." I told her that was fine, I would wait for my husband to come out of the restroom although my husband is 33. I then realized the wine I selected had a cork instead of a screw top and that wouldn't work because we are in a hotel room so I went back to exchange it for something else. She made a loud comment about how she knew I was doing something shady. Um... what? I then found a moscato I wanted with a top that worked, gathered my husband, and proceeded to check out with someone else. We will not be back. Such rude staff! read more

There's always a sale going on for different varieties of wine and liquor. Besides an awesome selection of wine, they even have an assortment of beer options and a refrigerated section. The employees are always very helpful and willing to assist you in finding something since the store is pretty big. read more

Careful with Total Wine's reviews and pricing scams. First, their reviews are highly moderated and will never say anything remotely bad about the corporation - seemingly, okay for reviewers to bash the products they sell - who cares about their suppliers. If you write a review to warn others about their pricing scams, they will not post it - so much for honest business practices. As far as pricing, they are deceptive. For example, a 750 ml bottle is $28, a 1 liter (100 ml) is $47, and a 1.75 ml is $49. Now, most US consumers are not familiar with metric measurements. So, they do not realize that 1 liter bottle (100 ml) is only slightly more volume than the 750 ml, but is $19 more. Or, for $2 more, you get 3/4 more product by buying the 1.75 ml. On top of that, the 1 liter bottles are often "accidentally" stocked with the 750 ml. Consumers grab the slightly larger bottle by accident, not realizing at the checkout that they are paying some $20 more for that item than they thought by reading the shelf tag. Profitable for the corporation. So, until consumer protection agencies (ha ha) in the US start cracking down on dishonest corporations like Total Wine, these review and pricing scams will only continue. Consumer beware - or shop stores that do not engage in deceptive practices. After all, if you cannot run a business honestly, do you really deserve to be in business? read more

Big fans of Total Wine & More. Living close to where they originated (DE), we have plenty in our area of Northern VA; they are our 'go to' for exceptional customer service and selection. Being from VA, our spirits are controlled by the state so we have to go to a separate store to buy liquor. When we drove from the ABQ airport to Santa Fe for our 5 night vacation over Thanksgiving, our first stop was Total Wine & More. That should tell you something!! We were thrilled with this store: -Beautifully merchandised and plenty of great holiday displays. -They sell liquor!! so nice to have it all under one roof. -Excellent selection. Easy to find what we needed. -Small bottles: wanted a size other than a 750ml of Kahlua for White Russians. They had it - fabulous. -Great customer service from the staff to the management we met and cashier. -Rewards program. Our rewards program from back home works here. Even though Santa Fe has a seemingly endless list of liquor stores, Total Wine is unique for their extensive assortment of wines and beers from around the world, their really good prices (competitive with Costco and Sam's Club), and their helpful staff. But I will admit to being extremely disappointed when I requested a couple of boxes to move my wine and liquor, most of which I bought there, and was refused. There were hundreds of boxes sitting there ready to be used. And, in fact, I was offered a box for the three six packs of beer I bought. Don't bother with this store. I recommend Susan's Wine and Spirits if you need to buy alcohol. The staff there is A+++ I recommend the Primo Cigar Shop if you need cigars. Also, A+++ and really friendly people. Anyways, I've been in the store a number of times since they opened. I get followed around by employees. It's really twisted because I never get offered any help. I just turn around and they are peering around the corner like they are spying on me. It's effing creepy. I am going to give the place the benefit of the doubt and just say they are probably understaffed or maybe management has just instituted a really lousy culture at this particular location. Whatever it is, I am going to skip this place from now on. Apparently, browsing the aisles is suspicious. A store with a lot of selections. Price of regular beer is more expensive than most grocery stores. I am a tequila drinker and you can get Patron Tequila at Kokomans in Pojoaque for a better price than this store regardless of the size of bottle that you purchase. I was in need of a couple of whites for dinner and, since I was out in that area, stopped into the SantaFe TotalWines. Only go in there about twice a yr as yet to find anything of interest here. So I picked up these 3 whites, how could I go wrong. Well....I probably hit rock bottom on these. The wines were not bad nor flawed. They all had just a sort of vaguely fruity/grapey character were just some of the dullest wines I've ever encountered. Most of them went down the drain. Sometimes it makes no sense to waste your alcohol consumption on such wines. I probably should have also bought a btl of the ButterKnife Chard, but I just couldn't bring myself to do so. I suspect it would have been a bit more interesting, if a factory wine. These wines were all Saranty Imprts, a label that I usually avoid like the plague. I've yet to find a wine from Saranty that I've thought worth drinking, even in the $50/btl range. As best I can tell, these wines are all TotalWines DirectImports exclusives.
