I was aprehensive making a reservation becuase of the poor ratings on Yelp and Trip Advisor, but I had no choice becuase of the location (There are no clubs in Jersey ) Overall I had a good experience. Check in was quick and my server was great and attentive, her name was Ana. The only complaint I had was trying to make a reservation was unnecessarily hard. The phone supposedly only works M-F 1pm to 5pm. The Manager that picks up needs to work on his customer service. It felt like I was being an inconvenience to his day. I was here last week for a little get together, we arrived around 10:30 which was still pretty early but it got a lot busier around 11:30.. the music was good and the vibe was fun. We were at the top bar by outside, we ordered some food and some specialty drinks that were on the menu and I gotta say the food wasn't bad but the drinks were great, our bartender Miranda was serving us all night, she was amazing. Very nice and sweet and we liked how she was goofy and giggly haha she was dancing with us from the other side of the bar, very funny. But she was very attentive and very caring. I decided to throw my wife a surprise party for her 30th birthday here and to say that our expirience was excellent is an understatement! Customer service was superb, the food was good, the team work was impeccable and our waitress Anais was amazing at checking up on us every time she got the chance. The entire staff was attentive, respectful, made us feel important, and seemed to really care about the business itself. The owner is lucky to have employees that care about the longevity of his business. Raul was extraordinarily inviting and accommodating the whole night. I decided to throw my boyfriend a surprise birthday celebration for his 25th here. I have to say we were all very pleased with the service received. I called many spots in Elizabeth area (Barcode/ the lobby), only to find that no one knew what they were talking about, were not knowledgeable about prices and services of the club/lounge and were straight up rude over the phone. Thankfully when calling 46 lounge, I was assisted by James. He was incredibly helpful and maintained contact with me throughout the whole two months I was planning this event. He answered every single question and concerned. Seriously this lounge should feel lucky to have someone on staff like him. Overall, we enjoyed our time out in the patio area, hookah was amazing and service by our bottle girls was great. We were able to bring our own decorations as well as our own cake which our waitress were able to bring out with happy birthday signs and lights. Whether you're a walk-in or have a table booked in the VIP, you'll be treated with the best service possible. From the bouncers, to the greeters, bartenders, and management, you won't come across someone that isn't willing to help you out. Huge shoutout to James and Raul for everything they do! They are super accommodating and respectful to each person that walks in and they ensure you have the best experience possible. Anytime I go to this place I dance my face off! The DJ's are always playing hot music, it's always packed (which I like), cute guys everywhere, and fast service. Although you get a guido-type atmosphere, it's not trashy though, I promise there are a lot of classy people. RACIST. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. And hopefully yelp will NOT filter this review. Last night was my bday party that I had been planning for over a month. We booked a party bus and went to dinner and then we were supposed to go to 46Lounge. It was 14 of us-12 black, 2 spanish. I found out about the club from my cousin who lives in Jersey. She had never been but wanted to go b/c the pictures looked nice, it's promoted by a radio station and it seemed like a cool place to go. I looked on their website, researched their bottle service packages and the type of crowd and music. Seemed ok, so I got in touch with the promoter and reserved a section-no problem. They even called me at 6:30 that night to confirm that we were still coming. We pulled up in the party bus and my friend that met us there met me at the door and said-they don't have your name. So I walked in and sure enough, my name wasn't there but the girl at the front said-no problem, we have sections still available. Now, when I talked to the promoter, he said b/c I was getting a section, everyone in my group was free. The girls at the front said-no, you're free with 2 people, everyone else has to pay. It was $10/person. One of my friends paid for everyone. The hostess takes us to this small ass section on the dance floor. It could fit maybe 4-5 people. I said-we have 14 people, we need a bigger section. She said-no problem, I just thought you wanted to be near the dance floor, I have a bigger section. So we follow and she takes us to this huge section where we all fit comfortably. We all sit down and no less than 5 minutes later, this white man walks over to me and says-this section is reserved. I said-I know, I'm the one who reserved it. He said-I can't have you sitting here, this isn't for you. I said-well I reserved this with the promoter, Steve. He said-I'm not Steve, I'm Chris, I'm the manager, I override anything he says, I have the final say-you can't sit here. At that point, my cousin was sitting next to me and said to him-we are paying for this section and we are buying at least 2 bottles. He said-you have to go....and I looked and he had 2 security guards with him. I didn't ask anything else, I told everybody let's go and we stood up....as he followed us to the door, some other words were said by him. I don't know if he was trying to get me/us riled up but I said-I want my money back and we ignored anything else he had to say to us. We went to the front and the girl gave me the money right back while he and his 2 security guards stood there and watched us leave. When we got outside, there was a Totowa police car outside and the officer just happened to get out the car and stood there as we left. I was pissed, embarrassed b/c I took my party there, angry and sad...very sobering experience. The club was mixed, but I guess too many of "us" at once is too much for them to handle. Who knows what will come of this, but I'm contacting 92.3, the radio station that promotes this club, the news, the newspaper, the promoters and anyone else who I can think of. I'm usually the type to just let it go, but this was a real sobering reminder that my $$$ may be the same color, but I for damn sure am not.... 31 useful votes and counting. My friend won a VIP table for this place, so we couldn't pass up the chance to go dance and drink for free. We went there at 11 PM and the place wasn't packed at all but by 12 it started getting full. This lounge brings the most eclectic group of people I've ever seen. The dance floor is a decent size with bars surrounding it. There is actually 3 bars in the building so wait time and overcrowding isn't an issue. The outside is pretty with a lot of seating,can't wait to go there to smoke hookah when it gets warm. We went on a Friday and music was more geared to edm but the dj did play a wide variety for everybody to enjoy. Overall it's a decent lounge if you just want to go drink and dance with your friends without trekking to the city. Sonic is also next door so that's always a plus. read more

Pretty fun place to party BUT do NOT BE FOOLED!! They said they were going to have a Halloween costume contest on Friday 10/26/18. It was supposed to be $5,000 in prizes for best couple costume, sexiest costume, scariest costume, etc. THEY NEVER DID THE CONTEST OR CALLED WINNERS!! We even stayed until the very end and absolutely nothing. We asked the manger multiple times when they would do the contest and he kept saying "I don't know" or ignoring us. I've been coming to 46 Lounge on and off for a few years now. When you're at a club one of the main things that matter is the ambiance and if you want to dance, the floor is definitely important. There's a good amount of room to dance on the main floor and the place is usually decorated appropriately. I've been on Hip Hop and House nights as well as Latin nights and the place always manages to keep a good vibe. The outdoor area is a nice chill area that I think most people enjoy especially when the weather is right. I'm giving this place five stars because the club is open on days of the week where its tough to find decent clubs along with courteous staff. I've dealt with many of the bartenders over the years and they are usually polite and attentive even when its busy. Aside from that, the prices are usually fair so its worth visiting and seeing for yourself. read more

Some of the reviews for this place are hilarious but there is some truth in them. I've been to this place a couple time but only on a Friday after work. They sometimes have a free buffet but the quality is what you get when its for free. I have seen a lot of freshly waxed guidos, eyebrows and all but you also see some old guys either going through a midlife crisis or refusing to accept old age. I would never make this a place to end my night but definitely fun for happy hour. Save your time and money. The reason for going out is to have a good time. Don't get me wrong. They have good music and the lounge itself is nice but the service is deplorable. They have the rudest female bartenders. They charge your 18% gratuity automatically on your bill and expects you to put in another 15% - 20% on top of that. You won't find a club like 46 lounge anywhere on this side of the Hudson. When you don't feel like traveling to NYC but want a good night out (Latin night Saturday's are unbeatable) go to 46 lounge. Normally would rate 4 stars but I'll give 5 given it's competing with the NYC night clubs. I was also there when Chris Brown played a couple of months ago so it's only improving. Cover is inexpensive ($15-$20) and there are 3 bars inside and 1 outside so you're never waiting a long time for a drink. Only downside is the bathrooms get crowded since it's very small compared to other clubs. Overall, a good, fairly inexpensive night out. I would recommend. read more

My main gripe about 46 Lounge is that the entire place only has 2 bathroom stalls for women- so expect to wait 20 minutes in line if you gotta go. If you have reservations and a table, they treat you really well. I also like that they have an outdoor patio with hookah. We won a contest rewarding us with a free VIP table, champagne, and bottle. We showed up and were told we were not on the list. Apparently the promoter who booked it for us was on vacation. We asked them to find us another table or at the very least we would go in non VIP and get the table the following weekend. They began to make invalid excuses for why we couldn't enter. The one particular bouncer who was giving us a problem said some members of our party were too intoxicated to enter, even though most of us hadn't drank yet. He then began to insult us directly. Absolute racist establishment. Instead of the owner answering bad reviews on yelp or google to help fix them they only answer the 5 stars. The bathrooms here has 2 stalls which are always filthy. Drinks are terribly made like something out of Bar Rescue and they have the most ratchet dancers on Saturday nights when they claim to be this "super high end Miami type club" I have met the owners several times and instead of being an owner he is wasted with multiple girls around the bar having three way kisses and acting unprofessional. Dj is trash, O and if you want to buy VIP? forget it. They charged me a fortune for the largest vip section and it couldn't even fit my guest when I specifically told them it was ten people. We were looking for salsa dancing and this was not it. They were playing some sort of techno / hip hop that was in Spanish, which I guess gave them the liberty to call it Latin Night. We tried making the best of it but I couldn't even find a coat check. The two kids working at the coat check, which wasn't labeled as a coat check and totally confusing were telling me that they didn't have tickets yet (at 11:30 PM).
