First time back in a decade. Place improved slightly since then, i.e. didn't see any cockroaches, and staff is cool, but we booked the big room and couldn't hear the vocals. We booked the Music Hall for $50/h. We were a 12 pc band and they were able to accommodate our requests (5 amps, 4 mics, line in, drums, etc). The staff (Noemi) is awesome and very easy to deal with. We will repeat many times over! read more

Smacktone! Fantastic rehearsal rooms. DW drums with an array of options, bring your cymbals, Marshall stacks, EVH 5150 stacks, a great waiting lounge with an Xbox 360, vending machines, couches in every room, earplugs, picks and assorted paraphernalia. Rooms currently $30 the first hour, $25 each additional, MUST reserve with full payment of room time on credit/debit unless you are a member, ask about terms, I will. I've played drums here at least five times, the rooms are awesome, clean, the gear rocks, the staff is helpful, getting you what you need when asked. The rooms all have a great vibe, painted nicely, air conditioned, track lighting, and even a showcase room with stage and room for a crowd. Follow the factory smoke stack (think 1/4 Pink Floyd' Animals album cover), Smacktone's door is right at the base. Only complaint is a big flight of stairs to get to the rooms, which as a drummer who bought his 1992 Tama Rockstar DX 7pc kit for a.trial stage run, was literally a drag. But awesome!!! read more

Played here on and off for 20 years and have seen the place really go into the gutter. PA either doesn't work or you have to wiggle wires to get it working. Same with mics. Completely sub standard. Knob fell into the PA. Really can't justify going back. Goodbye. read more

I had a video audition at the beginning of the year for a popular TV show and I needed a space to do it. I called and reserved a room. I came in thinking that I was going to have to pay for the full hour. I was done within a half hour and only got charged for half. Very easy, nice attendant. The only issue I have is with all you orangutan drummers out there that abuse equipment in rehearsal studios. You're not the only ones who need to use the gear, so be nice and don't over-wrench on cymbal stand hardware, okay?! I don't fault the studio for that reason. Excellent spot to practice. :) read more
