Yesterday Dr. Fettig extracted what was left of a very old crown. His expertise was impressive. He worked quickly, and effeciently, always considering my comfort, and well being. He minimized pain, and made a complex extraction, and nearly not so bad experience. Dr. Fettig was great, he was also very caring to get me in on short notice. I am 81, recently had a heart valve replacement, and needed rather urgent attention to prevent infection, and Dr Fettig managed to fit me in in 2 days to his busy schedule. This was my third extraction with 47 North. The Doctors have been absolutely great, the best I ever had. The support staff is excellent also. Caring and professional, cognizant to disclosing all costs, and always mindful of your well-being. Jodie was great, she worked hard to get me in on short notice. Horrible payment plan experience! I have everything documented through text message to make payment plan I get a call and they tell me something totally different and they demanded money now! They totally lied to me about the payment plan. Sure it was nice they got me in right away on an emergency tooth pull but the experience was horrible they were rude I left in a lot of pain, however I got through it. I felt like I was forced to make an appointment which they had me do to come back and see them for a follow-up but no way I'll go somewhere else! I do not appreciate the disrespect the force payment and the rudeness over the phone I did everything that I was supposed to do and have it documented. However I just made the full payment and will never return there versus experience I've ever had at a dentist... nothing but Liars on their payment plan and feeling forced that I have to come back and see them for all my dental work that's not going to happen get money from somebody else I'll take my business elsewhere pathetic and desperate for business and can't keep to their word on the payment plan as I have it in my text message... paid off and good riddance! Plus they were $2,000 more expensive from the last tooth I had pulled a year ago! Nothing but liars and Crooks! Absolutely no respect for their patients, it like forced into what they want you to do and demand money up from or you have to leave and come back when you have money to pay the bill what a joke. I'm no expert when it comes to dentistry and dental surgery but I have worked in the healthcare industry for many decades and have been to countless offices in my career as a patient and in other capacities. What I do know is what a good patient experience is and when I have one. That is what happened today when I had an extraction and implant procedure from the team at 47 North and Dr. Pruner. They were great from even before I arrived as they were able to accommodate me on a last minute referral as I had some serious pain going on over the weekend and it was obvious that I'd be needing the procedure. Front desk / check-in was excellent and it carried on throughout the entire process from imaging to surgery to post care and receiving a personal call to check on my well being after hours. Post implantation the scan looked great - perfectly aligned implant ready for the next step. I have every reason to believe it'll result in a great outcome. I also like being informed of what is happening during the procedure - it's a nice touch. I'm mightily impressed. You may not want to have this kind of surgery but if you *need* it - and I certainly did I would have no hesitation recommending Dr. Pruner and the team at 47 North. I felt that I received top shelf patient care and am glad I was referred to the office. read more

I drive from Camano island to have Doctor Fettig to do implants because I trust that he will take every precaution considering since I am on bone medication. My spouse had oral surgery on Friday, Oct. 20. We were horrified that one of the staff (an older man wearing a plaid shirt) was extremely ill with a very phlegmy cough. He repeatedly open-mouth coughed and coughed into his hands. He should not have been allowed in the office (we're in cold, COVID, and RSV season!). At the very least, he should have been wearing a mask and been working in a closed-door office. This was an absolute disregard for basic common decency, especially since oral surgery patients cannot wear a mask. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

I had an implant done here in 2018. Everything seemed to go pretty well with my implant until 2021 when I noticed some sensitivity in that implant when I bite down on something like a seed. I do know that with an implant there are no nerves left and I don't understand why I was having this, but it was in the implant tooth. I called them and talked to Judy, but she would not let me finish explaining what was going on with me and my implant and the sensitivity I was feeling. She wanted to cut me off, not even let me explain anything, and just argue and argue and argue. The customer service is horrible if you experience any problems. They will not listen. So I most definitely would not recommend going to 47 North Oral Surgery at all, and in fact you should avoid this place. If you have any problems, they simply will not listen to you. I have had other similar work done since this experience and I can tell you that at 47 North Oral Surgery, they process you through in the least amount of their own time and with the least amount of patient care they can get away with. My touch time was maybe 15 minutes - and that includes pulling my tooth out, let alone putting the implant in. And then of course from there with 47 North it's just: "Next Patient!." They won't fully care for you - so be for-warned. For context, my subsequent care at another place in Redmond with another tooth was much more involved with a whole hour of oral surgery in a very careful placing of my implant. And I can already tell they care much more for their patients and will listen to me if there are any complications. So do not go to North 47 Oral Surgery, they will not fully care for you. read more

I was referred by my dentist, called to make an appointment, spoke with an answering service to schedule a consultation, the number I called was the Kirkland office, got the appointment scheduled but turns out it was to be at the Redmond office. This very well may have been my misunderstanding, made it to the Redmond office for the Dentist to tell me what I already knew, my tooth indeed needed to be removed. took all of 10 minutes...then we try to schedule the actual appointment, can get me in no less than a month out and only bright and early in the morning..they were referred so I thought ok, we'll do this. Due to family issues and the smoke we had around late Aug I needed to re-schedule, they could only give me yet another month out (unless I wanted to go to Monroe) and only morning. I have never had a tooth removed so am a bit anxious, they gave me a form to sign with the possible complications that included injury to adjacent teeth, jaw breakage among other things so understandably I'm a bit freaked out at this point so I basically left because no one sat down and walked me through a thing, just wanted me to sign this waiver. Called my parents dentist, they got me in that Friday, knew it was a simple procedure, walked me through it thoughtfully, no consultation just amazing customer service, oh and it wasn't 7am in the morning. Sure no one will actually read this but bottom line their beside manner and customer service sucks. read more

Dr. Erich B. Naumann lacked empathy and compassion and was extremely unprofessional in removing my wife's wisdom teeth. He was performing multiple surgeries at the same time so kept leaving the room during the process, didn't pay much attention to my wife during the surgery, and didn't couldn't even stick around for a minute after the 5 minute surgery to answer any basic questions my wife had about the surgery, post surgery recovery process, or the fact that one of the two numbing injections he applied seemed to have been done incorrectly, leaving that half of my wife's face, sinuses, and eye extra numb (the injection applied to the other half was fine). He didn't even bother to stitch up the surgery site, even when my wife asked. Both before and after the surgery, he and one of his older nurses made my wife feel very uncomfortable and harassed for having PTSD and occasional panic attacks, and any time my wife tried to ask a question they treated her as a nuisance and discriminated against her for having mental health issues (the PTSD and panic attacks). The post surgery recovery has been very painful for my wife as they refused to write a pain medication prescription for more than 2 days worth of post surgery pain relief - that means we run out before the third day of recovery, which is supposed to be the most painful by far. read more

My son needed surgery to remove two teeth (one baby, one extra), expose an impacted adult tooth, and attach it to a chain so our orthodontist can pull it into place. We had to schedule four months out, to get both the anesthesiologist AND the surgeon on the same day. We were given the first appointment of the day, which was early but nice - he didn't suffer hungry! Everyone in the office was extremely kind. They noticed how nervous he was (he's just 10), and everyone was just so patient and cheerful. They got him laughing and comfortable and then took him back for surgery. The surgery was quick. When they called me back, a nurse had him swaddled in a blanket and was holding him - exactly what I would hope someone would do for my baby. Thank you! PS - He also loved the care package they sent him home with: gauze, a can of soda for the nausea, a little notebook in his favorite color, and a small packet of simple doodle projects he can do on the couch while he recovers. read more

I had a treatment plan from a general dentist for extraction and bone grafting. However, I want to use an oral surgeon for the treatment. So I was given a referral to 47 north oral surgery. They want to do new exams and CT scans, That's $200, and they refuse to use the one that was taken 3 days before. In addition, they refuse to give me the price of the surgery prior to going to see them, which I understand) . I asked if their prices would be close to what I have from the general dentist, but their receptionist Victoria refused to answer. They have a copy of the treatment plan from a general dentist and all they had to do to tell me if their price will be close enough. I explained that I am paying for this out of pocket and I need some flexibility, but they didn't care. So the bottom line is they wanted to charge me for the exam, xrays, ct scan, and then tell me the cost for the treatment. read more

I will start by saying I have been truly blessed with a healthy set of teeth and gums. I even still have all my wisdom teeth and never needed braces or whiteners. I had to have a implant today, I completely worked myself up to severe anxiety. I had one from another oral surgeon in Redmond, WA that let me so disappointed with his chair side lack of care and doing what should have been done to make me feel he cared more about me as a patient and not just a transaction. Fast forward to today. I literally can't say enough about Dr Jerald Pruner and Tricia my Hygienist. They made me feel like I was V.I.P. and the only the care in their office at the time. I really don't think the exceptional service they provided me was just limited to myself. I felt like the care from my Dentist and his Hygienist transformed into Dr. Pruner and Tricia's body. They sincerely care about making sure their Patients are always comfortable and will not rush through your procedure just to get to the next. I was referred to Dr. Naumann who put an implant to replace an upper molar in early 2019 by Dr Huang. Painless, well-executed, and excellent follow-up. The follow-up actually found that the implant wasn't grafting as we'd expected so Dr. Naumann stated we'd have to wait an additional 3 months to see that the implant was in the right shape to receive the crown from Dr. Huang. I can only say, that his work was dental artistry the resulted in a superb new implant and crown that feels like my original teeth. I cannot refer Dr. Naumann highly enough! read more

I took my 93 year old father in to look at a molar he needed removed. Being 93, he had a hard time tilting his head back, opening his mouth wide, and he is completely wheelchair bound. I was so impressed with the whole staff. They accommodated my dad's medical situations and ended up being able to remove the remains of his tooth right then and there. They were gentle and respectful of my dad. I'd recommend them highly. read more

My son got a dislocated jaw during a soccer game after running into another player. Dr. Fettig was kind enough to fit us in during the lunch hour to examine my son. Luckily enough, the dislocation was not severe and Dr. Fettig was able to manipulate it enough so the jaw popped back into place during the exam. Great office, friendly professional staff. Not Covid safe. Some of the staff weren't wearing masks at all. One woman at the front desk had her mask completely pulled down underneath her chin. Some were in the hallways with their masks off or pulled down too. While the staff was friendly, I did not feel comfortable being there. It was disappointing and I am not happy. read more

The staff is very caring and supportive from the minute you step foot in the door until you go home. I had a bad experience here and wouldn't recommend it. First of all, after I'd been given nitrous and an IV, the surgeon and the assistant started arguing over what they'd given me. I don't know if they thought I was asleep or would forget, but I started to panic and I was already too drugged to do anything. I didn't remember until later because I was so foggy when I woke up. Then I had a question and a possible problem about a week after the surgery. I called back and spoke to a surgical assistant, but she couldn't answer my question. I asked to speak to Dr. Knoff, but he was busy. She said he'd call me back. Later I got a call from a different assistant who left a long winded message, but also didn't answer my question. I never got a call from Dr. Knoff. I called back and again asked to speak to Dr. Knoff, but he doesn't work Fridays and wouldn't be in Monday. She said that I should try calling back Tuesday. Since I first called with my issue on Wednesday, that means I get to wait almost an entire week to speak to the surgeon after having a complication. Never mind the pain I'm in or the worry that it will get worse. I let her know that I didn't think that it was acceptable, but she didn't seem to care. It's sad, because I had a good experience with Dr. Knoff (other than the aforementioned panic over possibly being given the wrong anesthesia) but I really felt that everyone else at this office didn't care. I hope nothing goes really wrong before Tuesday. read more

I started experiencing complications and after leaving a message to the office, one of the dental assistants called me from her home to answer some of my questions. My Dentist referred me to a oral surgeon in Bothell after being in pain for a whole week. I Called Steen & something in bothell and the gal said it would be 2 weeks and I would have to get a consult first. I EXPLAINED I WAS IN PAIN. She didn't give a hoot. I called my dentist and told her I need the tooth pulled that day. I CAME TO SEE DR NAUMANN. I WAS TOLD TO GO RIGHT IN AND GOT MY TOOTH PULLED. HE FOUND OUT THE ROOT CANALED TOOTH WAS CRACKED. Knoff and Fettig Naumann was a great place! I got my wisdom teeth removed here, and so did my boyfriend. We both were about 3 years apart, but their procedures were great both times. What I liked was they gave us an exact amount needed the day of, and were really great before/during/and after the procedure. The staff and the doctors were very professional and kind. Calling to remind us about the appointment, calling after as a check-in. They even walked us to the car after to make sure we got in okay. So I have had a lot of dental procedures in the past, Dr. Fettig and his staff actually care about their patients, I received a few follow up phone calls to make sure everything was ok, and answer any questions that I may have, which was extremely nice, but so far everything has gone smoothly. I had an extraction of tooth number 7, and implant base installed. No general anesthesia only local, which was really fine. Didn't spend that much time in the chair, I think the entire procedure was about 15 min once he got started, that was after the 15 min of waiting for the local to kick in. read more

I have debated writing this review for quite some time, as I don't generally leave reviews (good or bad). I feel my experience needs to be shared so no one else will have to endure the misery that I did. I had my two lower wisdom teeth removed on March 10, 2017 by Dr. Fettig. I was told multiple times that because I was "older" (35) that the recovery would be a little rougher, fine. I had the teeth removed on a Friday, by Monday I was still in what I thought then was a lot of pain on the left side so I went in to make sure all was well. I was assured that everything was fine and it would just take longer to heal because I "should have had them removed 17 years ago". I returned to the office 3 additional times, the additional three visits were for the right side though. Pain had flared up about day 5 post removal. It was like no pain I've ever experienced and it was relentless. Every time I went back to the office I was assured that everything looked fine and would be given a new prescription for pain meds. On my fourth and final visit (exactly 4 weeks post removal), I was denied more pain medicine and my worst fear was confirmed. Dr. Fettig did not believe that I was truly in pain. He thought I was seeking pain medication. After examining my mouth again and AGAIN assuring me everything was fine, he sat down in a chair at the end of the exam chair and in an extremely patronizing manor asked me if I was "overwhelmed at home" (at the time I had a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old). He continued by asking if I had "help at home" and then suggested that I may be suffering from postpartum depression. I was so caught of guard and offended I had no idea how to respond. I left the office feeling defeated and just so very desperate for the pain to let up. I went home (to Issaquah, where I drove to and from for each of these visits) and called my family dentist. I needed someone I knew and trusted to either tell me to suck it up and push through or find an issue if there really was one. My dentist called me back at 5:45 that evening, it was a Friday. After a two minute phone conversation he said, "these sound like classic dry socket symptoms". He then asked if I could come to his office right then, of course I did. He packed the still very open socket with cotton and clove oil and said we'd know for sure the next day when he removed the cotton if it was a dry socket. I went back to my dentist on Saturday and Sunday to have him change the packing. Sure enough the cotton confirmed his suspicion of a dry socket. My mouth was still painful/tender for another few weeks but got better each day. The pain and the length in which it was experienced was totally unnecessary and could have been addressed WEEKS prior. It is my hope that no one else has to experience the physical and emotional distress that I encountered. I also apologize for the length of this post. read more
