I drove over and spoke to a man working the counter at the dewalt tool section who was accompanied by an older gentleman who informed me the glass cutter was broken and glass was out of stock. They told me to come back monday and there was nothing they could for me. I said that was unacceptable and spoke to the man who i spoke to on the phone. He told me right away they could help me. He called over greg and he helped me with a great attitude. The man who said the machine was broken visited greg in the glass cutting room to inform him the machine was broken but greg looked at it and informed the man it was indeed not broken. I contacted Jim Waters' office recently explaining the issue and asking about warranty. The man with whom I spoke asked me how long ago they were installed. I stated 9 or 10 years, approximately. His response to my question re warranty...9 years! Oh so convenient! He then told me to go to a glass shop and ask them to make me a new window as the crack is on the inside. Purchasing a replacement window for my kitchen. When I asked 2 other outfits about warranty, they told me lifetime, not 9 years! Stay away as they do not stand behind their products. Oh...same contractor also purchased 6 new windows for my new dining room from Jim Waters approx. 5 years ago and a few of them already have condensation.
