It's a bit pricey. 2) The staff is hit or miss. They're either really nice or they're a condescending jerk. I have come here over a dozen times, and just about every time I have gone - there's always this one older guy at the counter with a bad attitude. For example, he asked if I needed eye and ear protection. To which I reply "No thanks" He sternly says "EVERYONE needs eye and ear protection on the lane" I tell him that I brought some for my wife and I. He asks "Okay well what about her?" In a stern manner I think to myself : is this supposed to be welcoming? Also, I already answered his damn question! I remind him again that I brought my own gear. Last time I went, I ask him about the price to rent a Desert Eagle along with the ammunition. He rolls his eyes and sighs. Tells me it's $70+ I just walk away because I want zero association with him. Is that a way to talk to customers? Seriously- Range USA cypress is miles better than this location. With that being said, I have just come to terms with the fact that if i want to shoot at Range USA on 1960 I will have to interact with jerks. That is somewhat okay with me since i'm not there to chit chat with them. I'm there to shoot.

From reservations, to checking in, to lane usage, the whole journey was refreshingly smooth making for a very fun time. The facility was exceptionally clean, well staffed, and the displays of equipment were impressive. Upon entrance, I was immediately greeted by a bright and friendly woman who helped me get acquainted with the procedures. I was checked in by a delightful man named Tim. Tim had also helped me with my reservation and made sure, I was accommodated appropriately. Very professional. This was my first time at a gun range and my experience was limited, so I really appreciate how Tim understood my situation and included other staff members to help make sure I was comfortable with lane and weapons handling. A cool thing I learned, most of the staff is current or prior military. People who really know their trade and love what they do. I respect that. I was also introduced to a superb training instructor named Craig Terry. Craig helped refresh me on the fundamentals and guided me as I re-familiarized myself with the M15. Craig is observant and tuned into exactly the guidance I needed. Craig is respectful. His instruction and patience truly revitalized my confidence and gave me the best insight on what I needed to focus practicing on. I am very grateful to the time Craig gifted me. The lanes are comfortable, clean, and spacious. I didn't feel any hindrance about my surroundings and locking in was seamless. The target was easy to adjust and set nice and fast. The policies made sense and operations were a breeze. Ammo was decently priced and accurate to market value. All costs were very reasonable, especially for the atmosphere provided. I am impressed with the variety of weapons activities offered and particularly pleased with the variety of rentals available. I am beyond satisfied with what I paid for what I got. I had such a great time at Saddle River Range and I've been bragging about the place since. I already reserved two more sessions and I plan to bring a friend. I can see this becoming a weekly activity for me. Get this, they have a discount Happy Hour Monday - Thursday and free full-auto on Friday!

Trap range has been down for over a month with the only explanation from Carters is we are waiting on parts. My kids love to shoot skeet & trap and the fact that Carters Country can't get it together is embarrassing... Bill Carter should be ashamed of how his kid is running this operation.

The people that work here have a pretty bad attitude…read more Especially the clerk in the front. You will walk away feeling that you overpaid it you bring more than 2 guns to their range.. You have to pay for each gun that you bring... what If you brought 5 of their pistols in a range bag? Well, at Carter's Country you will pay $90+ tax just to shoot them! Another negative is that the range officers stare you down like a HAWK. It's their job to keep the range safe, but are they are not friendly. You will wind up chatting and laughing with your buddies during the cease fire only to turn and see an RSO staring you down with a stern look on their face. You have to walk around with rifles and shotguns out of the case. Which I find pretty dumb, too. Other than that, what can I say? I like to shoot guns. I was able to shoot and had a decent enough time thanks to my friends.
