The other thought our visit was a good 4 stars. Personally, I'm averaging it out to a solid 3 star experience. I have mixed feelings about Rooster's Roadhouse. I expected something great but I ended up being somewhat disappointed. I'm willing to cut them some major slack, however, because of staffing shortages. And our server told us the main cook has been out sick for nearly a month. Our food ranged from really good to lame. Our burgers were great. The Roadhouse burger was so good, I ordered a 2nd one to take home. The soup was decent. The boneless wings sucked. They were dry and they had a weird flavor. The ham & swiss stacker was okay. But they charged 70 cents for each little deli cup of mayo. So it was $1.40 for 2 little side cups of mayo (that should have been on the sandwich in the first place). I thought this was a little odd and irritating, especially since all of the prices (food & booze) are very reasonable. The service overall was pretty good considering the bartender was our server, she was alone, and there was a full bar. The 3 of us were the only people in the dining room. But she brought out a couple of wrong items. And she couldn't answer any basic questions about the food or the beer. She pleaded ignorance and said she didn't know anything. I appreciate the honesty. For example, I asked her what company brewed Moose Drool Ale and what state they're in...she didn't know...cool, no problem. But when I walked by the bar, I noticed it was all printed out in big letters on the beer tap. She couldn't read the tap when she was filling the glass? Strange - I don't get it. I don't know what's going on at Rooster's...staffing shortages, burnout, laziness, lack of training? No clue. But I probably won't go back to this one. Our recent visits to the neighbors (Laurel Supper Club and Vinny's) were waaay better. And both of those joints are only a couple minutes down the road. One final note about the people: I'm from Minnesota and I can't help but notice how friendly everyone is in this part of Wisconsin. That includes the staff at various businesses and the customers I've run into and random strangers. The friendly laid back demeanor is very noticeable when I cross the St. Croix River. I had only hired her for day-of coordination, but she was on top of it all, contacting the venue to straighten out details so I didn't have to, and so organized and wonderful on the day! It was like having an extra Bestie for the day whose sole mission was to make the day perfect for us. I cannot even imagine how many things she handled that I didn't have to even think about. The team she hired to set up the venue was clearly inexperienced and even made comments to my family members saying, "I'm not sure what to do I've never done this before." Time was severely mismanaged and the coordinator/owner was visibly overwhelmed. Marilee does not care whether or not you are happy with her services. After the wedding, I tried contacting Marilee privately to express my dissatisfaction and try and find a compromise on the amount she billed us for (which she was unwilling to give any details or itemization of her invoice) and she ended up ignoring my emails. She took no accountability, was disrespectful and made rude comments about my wedding, and showed no willingness to compromise...she never apologized and immediately was defensive and threatened legal action. After trying to contact her 3 times and being ignored, she filed with small claims. The judgement ended up being dismissed. After having such a horrible experience and doing more research, I found out the business was dissolved in 2014 and is no longer legally operating under its LLC.

RIVER TUBING REVIEW…read more I will choose this place again and again! Only a 35 minute drive from St Paul. Very well run - you show up, pay for tubes and rope to connect your group, can turn your keys in to the desk, and your on your way! It took us 2 hours to get down the river in mid July. I was told that's quick! There are picnic tables along the route where people stop and gather. They pick you up in a bus at the end (clearly marked) and it's a 5 minute drive back to your car. The river was clean enough, we didn't run into TOO many trees haha. Wear shoes too, the bottom of the river is rocky. It was $20 a tube, $1 for rope, and we did buy an extra tube for our cooler of drinks. Bring a cooler! It costs $20 even if you bring your own tube. I can PROMISE they won't run out of tubes, ever, which was a fear of mine haha. My only feedback is they need to get tubes with cup holders haha. Wear sunscreen and have a DD! Again I will be back here, great Saturday activity!!

When we showed up it was drizzling and the employees actually recommended against us going because people get cold when it's raining but we wanted to go anyway & fortunately it stopped. (Everything I read on yelp before this was the company wanted to get every cent they cut out of you etc. this was counter to that and they were definitely customer friendly) All the employees were very nice to us, told everyone what to expect, got our equipment tubes and we got a cooler tube And we were off. On the tail end of the river their employee was there waiting for us load it up and got in the truck to go back no problems whatsoever. The other family we went with had not been b4 & had three kids and had a total blast said they would definitely go back. Very relaxing day I would say we were there on a Thursday and I'm sure it gets crazy on the weekends but our experience was very peaceful met a few other families on the river, had a few drinks and snacks and a great day overall!!
