When I got to their store, I walked in first to mention that I was there to recycle a lot of items. They immediately sent not one, not two, but THREE team members outside to assist me, and all the items were removed from my truck within about 3 minutes!! I just wanted to say that you guys rock and I will be returning in the future and mentioning you to everyone I know. As a side note, they also fix and sell computers and I have heard lots of great things about them.

Only polite request I ever reecived was not to show up 5 minutes before they close with a full truck If I have anything that I am not sure about, I go with a sample and ask if they take items like that. As to the review from a few years ago about being yelled at by "rednecks", I can only say that I would have just ignored somebody like that and gone and talked to the boss in the office to tell the guy off. I think these characters are no longer there. Also, complaining about what they pay is useless. They state clearly that everything you bring to them it is just metals, so what an item cost originally or is worth is of no concern. Just ask your self why you are "recycling" ? For me it is not to make money. I don't follow the going rates for metals. I like to do good for the environment and the few bucks you get can be spent at the hot dog place next door:-) It's close to where I work and I am happy to have this place for drop off, instead of putting stuff into regular garbage. May times I am just happy to leave stuff without being paid.

Despite speaking to 7 different employees at Oak Ridge/IWS over the past several weeks, not one of them has been able to effectively have the bins delivered on any of the promised delivery dates. Each delivery date passes and I call, only to be told someone didn't submit a ticket or submitted the ticket incorrectly, so I'll have to wait until the following week. My trash pick up dates have passed without me having the ability to use the service. Trash has been piling up inside my home because there is no secure space outside and this company can't manage to coordinate the delivery of my bins. A manager I spoke to gave me the business cell, which he called the "bat phone" to have a direct line since this has been such a mess. After today's failure to deliver, he's ignored my 4 attempts to contact him. This company is a joke. I literally have a mud room filled with bags of trash and recycling that I can't get out of the house because this company can't manage to provide the bins they're contracted to provide me with. Now, they're dodging me. The manager also said he would waive 2 months worth of fees due to this disaster and that was not honored. Pick another service provider - this is not worth the hassle. They're a complete mess, and if you choose them, your home will be too.
