They really did a great job for us all that time.... until we fostered and adopted an elderly (13yr old) dog from McKamey. We spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on lab tests to confirm what McKamey already had diagnosed was in the records .... Dog had an ear infection. RedBank could not figure out how to treat it, so they recommended a specialist for treatment (shocker another VCA business). They wanted to remove the ear canal of a 13 year old dog for $5K! The known side effects are defenses or death!! It seemed like a lot to put an old dog through. For some reason RedBank wanted to cash in on this poor ole buddy instead of helping him. Red Bank has SOLD OUT!!!!!! Yepp VCA owns them now, that explains all the nickel and dime redundant tests and services they push and charge you for for without approval. The once caring owner cashed out (good for him). Only wish he would have made an announcement and told all his customers and patients that billable services now come first. I went for a second opinion at Lighthouse Veterinary Allergy & Dermatology. They prescribed and mixed an ear drop that fixed it without surgery!!!) Laura and staff have always been communicative and mindful about who would be in our home. They always fed our cats, played with them, and texted pictures and updates when they left. This past weekend was so strange and such a different experience. We asked and had an agreement for a Friday evening and Saturday morning feeding. They've always had time slots (within 3-4 hours) in which they would visit. Friday evening, we are out of town and our motion detector on our camera notifies us. I check the camera and first I see a strange man sitting on our couch - someone we've never met. After a few seconds, I see Laura feeding our cats in the kitchen. That brings a bit of relief, but who is the man? He now knows where we keep our key. She also came a bit early, but we could look past that. Also, they left and didn't text us to update us on the cats. No communication that evening. On Saturday morning, we are out of town and we are waiting on the motion detector to go off or a text from Laura. Nothing. Around 10:30 est (their cut-off for morning feedings was always 11 am), I text her and ask if she's been there. After a while, she just texts "Not yet." No explanation. We wait and wait and start to worry, so we leave without going to our friend's event on Saturday. At this point, it's around 12:30 (afternoon... not morning). Still haven't heard anything. Text her, and she says she got caught up at another visit and she's on her way then. We're about an hour out. I say go ahead and feed (since we've paid for it/left a check). No text back. We get home before she got there, but she never got there. After I fed the cats, I tell her we're home so there's no need for her to come at this point. The cats are fine, but we do have a cat with digestive and kidney issues that needs his meds and to be fed within a reasonable time frame. All together, they went 22 hours without food or check-in. Also, we paid her for both an evening and morning visit. She said she was on her way, but it doesn't take an hour to get to our home. Oh, and there hasn't been any communication since, even though I've emailed her. She cashed the check, though. I'm very disappointed in this VERY UNPROFESSIONAL service. It's so strange and weird. I will no longer be using Pawright and will no longer recommend them.

Charging $65 for a tiny dog and they did a horrible job. My other dog the grooming was fine. So I feel sure the girl that was supposed to be doing both their grooming only did the other one. There's no way she did my Yorkie. I've seen her work before when she cut him at another business and it was perfect. When I was trying to talk to Taylor about the cost she said, "well maybe we're just not a good fit for you." I told her there was at least three groomers in the area that I knew for a fact were not charging $65. That's when she said, "well I guess we're not a good fit for you" and I said, "no you are not." So utterly disappointed and angry.

He would share his distress with high pitched screeching and would pull to leave as quickly as possible. Today, when I picked up my dog, he was very happy to see me but was not freaking out to leave as fast as he could. The staff here genuinely love dogs and provide awesome care. When we got home, my aging dog was wanting to play fetch and had a renewed interest in his stuffed toys which made me think that they were playing with him to make sure he was stimulated during his stay. My dog is testy about meeting new dogs and doesn't do well in dog parks, so I was trepidatious about bringing her to a kennel-free day care, but the staff are all pro. Cookie gets to hang out in the "sweet old ladies' club," with other calm older dogs who won't tackle or harass her. She is relaxed and happy hanging out here and is eager to head through the door in the mornings. The team here does a great job of keeping dogs engaged with just the right kind of company for them: young, rowdy dogs get to tear around the yard and bodyslam each other all day long until they go home filthy, exhausted, and happy; meanwhile low-key, chill dogs get to nap in the shade and cuddle with the staff.
