Absolutely A+, five stars!…read more Edacious is absolutely fantastic! This is a nice place. The food has all been first rate, I went there to get the Smashburger on deal. During happy hour it's 12 bucks and that's a great burger. They have Busch light for $1.50 it's unbelievable. You can do that every weekday, they're not open on Sunday, and save some money. The entrées get up there around $24 and all the ones I've had have been fantastic. today I did the roasted chicken $24, and it was so good I cried. great mushroom flavor & maybe a soy sauce type on the chicken sauté. it was so good. Wow! Next time in, I will try the lamb meatballs. They do the thing where you get the tinned fish of your choice, they have several varieties & they pair that with all the accoutrements it's quite a nice appetizer. It's really a nice restaurant, on the small side so make a rezzie if you feel like it. They have some outdoor seating, I haven't used it, but it's popular. The bartenders are great, Emma, Corryn & Bridget. The chef is a star, maybe they have a couple, anyway the food is great. I had a poutine special last week. My brother loved one of the big salads. You get the idea. Great bourbon selection too. Five stars for a wonderful place, they do a nice job, thanks.

This place is ridiculously good. We grabbed seats at the bar like we usually do on a Saturday night…read moreand left completely satisfied. It's a true hidden gem, perfect size, a TV behind the bar, great bourbons, and a menu built for sharing. The portions are just right if you want to order a few different dishes and split them. We're already looking forward to going back, especially to see Emma, she made the whole experience even better, which isn't always easy to find these days. Pro tip: get there early if you want the specials, because they go fast (for good reason). And don't skip the tuna appetizer--we ordered it by accident and were blown away. It's one of those dishes you just have to try for yourself.

This is one of my favorite discoveries, well worth going out of your way for!…read more When you walk in you'll be in a light filled spacious room. It's a family-friendly vibe and inviting especially to the students. In fact, the Fosters (owners) told me the location was chosen to be a gathering spot on campus. Games are on shelves. Tables can be joined together to accommodate any size group (our s was15). Lingering over conversations and a brew is encouraged. (I don't drink, so I can't comment on the beers personally, but I do know Sam is a perfectionist and really enjoys his craft. I observe others do too.) The owners, Sam and Abbie Foster, make all guests feel as welcome as if you were visiting their home. It's just a happy place to be! Abbie, is an amazing everyday gourmet and plans interesting variations of familiar dishes. The menu rotates seasonally so there is always something new to look forward to. Everything is delicious and surprisingly affordable. That statement is such an understatement, honestly, it should be in all caps. I'm a food snob and I just can't tell you how yummy everything is. But don't take my word for it....

Haven was a nice little brewery in Oberlin. The dining/bar area is not terribly big and it is hard…read moreto believe they brew the beer on site. They were very busy on a Saturday afternoon. The dining area was full and there were several people sitting at the bar. They also offer patio seating but during our visit it was raining. We ordered the IPA and the Dubbel. Both beers were very good. So much so that we took a 4 pack of the Dubbel home. We also ordered the salami pizza, which you don't see very often. We ordered the bean dip with tortillas. The bean was served cold and very heavy on the herbs. It was good. The pizza was the in between size of do you eat it all or take some home (basically the Thin Mint conundrum). The staff were nice and friendly. I am not sure how long they have been open. The dining/bar area looked like a work in progress. It is a nice space, but could use some decor. I do want to point out the custom handles on the taps. They were very intricate and cool. The next time we are in Oberlin we would stop again.
