Our wedding day was amazingly stress free in thanks to our highly trained and professional vendors with Alan being one of them. Alan was recommended to us by my husband's friend, whom is also a wedding DJ, since my husband's friend already had a booking for the day of our wedding. Even when we went in for our planning meeting at the Mission Inn our coordinator told us that Alan was the best out of all of their vendors--she said that he was so organized and on top of his game that he made their jobs easier! We were doing a Halloween themed wedding, and not only did he dress up like the Phantom of the Opera for us, but he also watched the movies so that he could included some of the lines and dialogue into his announcements. He also was great at suggesting songs that could fit our theme and protected our song list, so that no one could suggest a hokey pokey or chicken dance :) He is also wonderful with organization. When you book him (not if, but when), he has a computer program where you can put all of your information for what dances you want and organize all of your songs selections by when you want them played and if they are a must or a maybe. In order to give away the centerpieces, he made a game where one person ties a knot in their napkin and the guests at the table play "hot potato" until the music stops and the person left holding the napkin wins the centerpiece. At first, I was very wary of the price of DJ services. I told my fiancee before we met with Alan, "why can't we just plug in an ipod and play whatever we want?"
