I had undercarriage damage after hitting an 18-wheeler tire at the TX/LA border on I-10 on Sunday, July 5th (holiday weekend). I had such a hard time finding anyone who was open, but 5 Star Road Service answered the phone promptly and said they could help! They came to my location promptly (they were ~20 miles away) and were able to jack up my car where it was parked and work on it, even in the rain. The three men who helped me were very professional and polite, and kept me informed with everything they were doing. They were able to remove the part that was detached and dragging and confirmed that my car was safe to drive (only cosmetic damage). The rate was $290 as long as the work took less than 2 hours, which it did. At the time, their card reader was out of order so they were only taking cash. I didn't have enough cash so we drove to an ATM together, which worked out perfectly. All in all, 5 Star Road Service helped me when I was in a bind on a Sunday of a holiday weekend! We were passing through the area - and ran into a challenge with our RV (Class B). It was a Sunday and we were worried that no one would be open. Overcharging at its best, was charged $65 for first 30 miles then was charged $134 for round trip charge of 67 miles, business was only 33 miles away and yet got double charged on first 30 miles was charged total of $199 for a trip charge then also had to pay $427 in Labor for 4.5 hrs and he rode with me to get 6 new Batteries. So I ended up paying for him to ride with me to pick up 6 Batteries then install them. he could have stayed behind and had everything prepped for new batteries instead of charging for time consumed in my Truck and my fuel cost.
