I'll start off with the positives by saying that the atmosphere was nice. The restaurant itself is decorated and well-kept. The service was good, and the waitress was friendly. The issue is the food itself. I myself got the Banana Nut French Toast, as pictured. (Yes, they tasted as sad and grey as they look.) Dry and grainy with a strange aftertaste. Somebody in my party ordered the Swedish Pancakes, of which were slimy and tasteless. The Chorizo Breakfast burrito was OK, once slathered with enough salsa to mask its natural taste. Very nice, very clean, easy access from the parking lot or aircraft ramp. We dropped in for breakfast (for my wife) and lunch (for me). My wife ordered the Florentine Benny, with an order of Turkey Link sausage. I went with their proverbial $100 Hamburger with french fries. We also ordered their donuts which came with a cream cheese sauce for an appetizer. The burger was cooked as requested, and tasted great. The concept of the "$100 hamburger" is by the time you factor in gas, that's what one would cost. It's actually probably higher unless you have a short flight right now. The Florentine Benny (eggs Benedict) was enjoyed by my wife, who loves her egg dishes. Service was effective - it kept the water glasses filled, and even the soft drink and coffee cup filled. You pay $75 on the website for the card and you get $150 value at 6 different restaurants. We went to Milton Family Restaurant. When I sat down in the booth there was a bad smell like body odor. I asked the server what we could order because I wanted to make sure it was included on our card. She was condescending and said the fish fry. I knew that but there were different selections on their fish fry menu. So we ordered and the food came out. The food was good but not great. We got our bill and it was illegible. I took it up to pay and they had charged us for one of the fish dinners?!!! I explained I had already paid for one when I bought the card. The woman was confused and talked to the server. She said this is the way they always charge when you use the Fish Fry Card. I said why would I buy the card for $75 and then pay for the other dinner at the restaurant? That would mean I'm paying for 2 dinners. They two women couldn't understand and told me they would get the owner. I waited 10 minutes and he finally came out to speak with me. He too said I had to pay for one of the dinners and when I explained to him that I already paid for one when I bought the card he kept saying the same thing over and over again. I called the restaurant next door that is also on the Fish Card and they said you can order whatever fish dinner you want and they give you $26 off your check. (Their lowest price dinner is $13). The Milton Family Restaurant still couldn't understand! He finally said I didn't have to pay for anything. I told him I wanted to pay just not get ripped off. The bar was severely understaffed for a holiday rush at 6:00 pm but the drinks we ordered were very good. The atmosphere is just what you want in an Irish bar. Just lots of friendly people having a good time. We both ordered the corned beef and cabbage and the portion could have fed a family of four. My only critique is that the brisket was not sliced correctly. It tasted really good but it was hard to eat as it was cut with the grain instead of against the grain. We topped of the meal with a Bailey's Irish cream cheese cake which was delicious. Will definitely try this place again to try their other culinary options. Just a fun place!
