Kerri has taught me how to find my voice and use it and I am singing better than I ever thought I would! I started taking lessons with Kerri because I have always wanted to be confident in my singing and never felt like I was a good singer, just thought it was naturally not in me. Kerri is fabulous!! She is very professional and kids LOVE her! We recently relocated to Salt Lake City area last winter and heard about Kerri through the grapevine. Although my son had been receiving lessons in the town we had just left (almost 4 years), I was having second thoughts about continuing his future with piano lessons because he just couldn't get the hang of it and was not very interested any longer. I had no idea he could not read the music, he was faking it with his past instructors and they didn't even know it. Kerri knew right away and put my son on the right path. Today my son not only looks forward to going to Kerri's for his lessons but he practices twice a day without my having to remind him. Best of all, he is actually playing music and its marvelous! I use to cringe when he practiced and now I stop whatever I'm doing and listen to him play. It's honestly the best thing we could have gifted our boy!!! I'm so glad that I decided to give it one last try and found Kerri. In less than 5 months Kerri has taught my son to read the musical notes, play entire songs and motivates him to WANT to practice. I came to Kerri for voice lessons back towards the end of 2019. She has helped my voice become something that I never thought it could be! She's worked with me through the things I've struggled most with, and is very patient and honest. Kerri will take all the time you need to make sure you understand how to correctly use your voice- her number one priority is your vocal health. She knows how to help you not to strain your voice, and to sing much more freely and comfortably. Plus, she just makes it so much fun! I really look forward to my lessons each week. Kerri is an amazing voice coach! I, unfortunately, wasn't able to maintain classes because of difficulties going on in my life. However, in the handful of classes I was able to attend, I was always interested in the stories she shared and the unique practices she had. During my last lesson, my mind was blown! I had always figured my vocal range was very low because it felt so odd trying to do anything higher. However, with the right techniques and practice given by Kerri, I was able to sing higher than I ever sang before! It honestly surprised me so much! It was exciting to realize I wasn't as limited as I thought. I wish I could've maintained courses to see how much more my voice would've progressed. Give her a shot and try for yourself! I completely believe anyone coming to Kerri with voice help will be exceptionally impressed! One of the only critiques I have for her is she can occasionally go on tangents that are unrelated to vocal lessons. For the most part, they were a nice break and were very entertaining to listen to. We have had a wonderful experience at 5 to 1 music studio with Kerri. Our kids are beginning piano players. Kerri has taken the time to teach the kids proper hand position, chords, and songs in a very encouraging and uplifting atmosphere.
