We chose the Mafia room, and from the moment we stepped in, we were transported to the Prohibition era. The atmosphere, the design--everything felt like stepping into a vintage crime thriller. The puzzles were super engaging--challenging enough to keep us on our toes, but perfectly balanced for the time limit. I especially appreciated that each room is a private experience, so it was just our group working together, which made it even more special. Martina, our host, was incredible--welcoming, professional, and gave just the right hint when we were stuck without taking away the thrill. We cracked the final clue with five minutes to spare and left feeling exhilarated! The location is a hidden gem--tucked in a quiet, walkable corner of Glover Park, close to restaurants and shops, and very easy to get to. We're already planning our return--my son can't wait to try another room with his sister and friends! The Patient room is next on our list!

I came for a friend's bday and we did the mafia room and we got the all-time record with 31 minutes left. It wasn't easy but definitely not hard. I've done escape rooms where it had a lot more puzzles (some irrelevant to actually solving the escape room). But I felt the mafia room would be great for a family or group of friends, both casual and competitive. Most of us were competitive hence the time and using no hints. Would love to try the other rooms. Despite it being on the corner of Wisconsin Ave, a busy street, there was plenty of street parking and very accessible. Love that it isn't a totally busy neighborhood.

I've been to Level 99, so it's comparable where there's multiple rooms and activities and you work together to finish the game. Here, you can do competitive games against your group, which makes things more interesting. Theres about 10-15 rooms and each room has different activities to choose from and levels. Unlike Level99, the directions here make sense when you get the hints. As soon as these doors open, within seconds, we were sprinting between glowing rooms trying to beat puzzles, dodge lasers, and slap light panels like our lives depended on it. The concept is basically part escape room, part laser tag, part interactive arcade, except you are the controller. And yes... you will sweat. Each room has a different challenge, and the games ramp up in difficulty so it gets weirdly competitive (especially when everyone's scores are tracked on the wristbands). One minute you're carefully solving a puzzle and the next minute you're hopping across light-up floors like it's an adult version of "the floor is lava." A few notes from the field: * Free lockers to store your belongings. * Bring a water bottle! * Wear athletic clothes and sneakers. This is not a cute-boots/sandals activity. * It's way more physical than expected--in a fun way. * Eat AFTER you come, especially if it's a date night. I attempted to DIY a lot of stuff and was overwhelmed on event day however, when I dropped off the stuff; she and her team took over and bought my vision to reality. Their property is so beautiful and they went above and beyond for my son's first birthday party. About a day before I received information regarding mobile key access. I downloaded the app and was given a code to access my reservation. I checked in the morning of via the app and was advised they would let me know when my room was ready. Surprisingly, it was ready before 11am. I chose to drive instead of taking the metro.The directions provided took me directly to their garage. I parked on the sixth floor and used my mobile key to access the hotel door and elevators. I selected my floor and it assigned me an elevator that took me directly to the 15th floor. I had a King Junior suite. It was clean, spacious, modern, beautifully decorated, and had a lovely view of the Perch. The Watermark had many highlights. The first was the Perch. It offers swings, live music, food trucks, putt putt, a dog park, and a restaurant that you could get to from the 11th floor. It's family friendly and an overall beautiful space. Another highlight, is that Capital One Hall is literally around the corner and less than a 4 minute walk. It's a great location if you're attending a show which I was. Lastly, is breakfast is included. They offered Belgian waffles, grits, chicken and pork sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee and tea. I consider that a pretty good selection. The customer service was good. The staff that I encountered were very polite and professional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to couples, families, or solo travelers. Things to note: parking is $25, check in is 4PM, check out is 12 PM, breakfast on the weekend is from 7-11 and weekdays 6-10.

Walking in on the first floor, you have to select the floor on a screen and then the screen tells you which elevator to go to for that floor and even give you an arrow pointing you in the right direction. So you never actually push any buttons inside the elevator. I thought this was neat. Breakfast is included on the 11th floor I believe. It's an upscale continental breakfast, but the best continental breakfast I've probably ever had. Potatoes, two kinds of eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, fruit, coffee, juice etc. Not a bad breakfast! The lobby was also vast and beautiful - I didn't get to explore as much as I would have liked! So the room was fantastic! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves but there was a mini couch, chair and desk, nice queen sized bed kitchenette area and decent bathroom with the room overlooking the courtyard with food trucks and mini golf course. Unfortunately I don't think any outdoor activities were open due to time of year/weather but still a nice view! It's connected to a grocery store - Wegmans and also close to the metro and a nice coffee shop around the corner. Definitely a nice stay for work or leisure!
