Not often u see gizzards on the menu many places anymore, so I had to try along with potato, corn, ham chowder! Both were awesome choices. We were so excited to finally try this great little grill. I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner and my husband ordered the fan tail shrimp. His shrimp & fries were great & he loved them! My chicken fried steak dinner tasted and had the texture of a frozen tv dinner. The corn was great but the rest left a lot to be desired. The service seemed rushed and we were not even asked if we wanted to go box when over half my meal was left uneaten. If we return, I hope for a better experience. read more

Stopped in last night for some dinner. It was a seat yourself place which I find nice since you don't have to wait. We quickly got helped and ordered drinks & apps. We got the onion petals & corn nuggets which were fried to perfection! For dinner we got the sirloin & the ribeye which were delicious. It's a very bar like chill place with retro decor. I'm very surprised at the 2.5 stars. We just moved into town and decided to give it a try. We tried two burgers, the Bob and Big Dave and both were delicious! The Big Dave was my favorite and the hashbrowns were cooked just right! Pepper jack cheese fried cheese balls were legit. The only thing we weren't a fan of was the artichoke dip. A little more Parmesan and maybe squeeze out the moisture in the spinach and it was good. I miss the peanuts at the table and throwing the shells on the floor. Used to live going to a steakhouse in Alaska that did this. It was fun to do it again here! We will be back to try all the burgers and a steak. read more

Not a great first impression with a dirty table when I sat down, not a huge choice for us keto folk because their menu ha d no veg option to stay away from the potatoes and fried stuff. atmosphere and service was good. I have eaten at 502 Grill House for a burger a few times over the past 2 years. It is fine for a cheeseburger. The beer offerings are pretty limited. They don't have a list, so you have to ask until you find something. On my last visit I found the place to be sloppily run. As I walked in there were a good number of open tables, but they had not been cleaned. It was just not inviting. They offer a decent array of sandwiches. Somehow I always just want a cheeseburger. I like hot sauce for my burger and it appeared that all they had was Tabasco, but then they mentioned wing sauce which works just fine. The burger was juicy and not overdone and worth returning for. The slaw was not particularly fresh and tasted off, like paint. I will be back when the need arises for a burger in Iowa Falls. read more

My husband and I had to travel back and forth for 2 days to northwest Iowa. The first day we were hungry and tripped over this gem in Iowa Falls, the second day we actually planned it into our travels. We primarily ordered sandwiches, appetizers and beer but we weren't disappointed by any of it. The pork tenderloin was juicy and flavorful. The tots were yummy. The critique my husband had was that if we ever go back, he'd ask for bacon, cheese and jalapeño altogether on the tots. The service was very friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and the decor was interesting. If it was closer to us, we'd frequent more often. Definitely recommend this spot! read more

I have to say, I practically lived here last summer (summer of 2019) since I was working in Iowa Falls over the summer. Yes, there are nights that things get packed. That is how small towns work! You advertise a quality special on Friday and Saturday, buddy it goes quick! I never had bad food from this place and I ate there practically every day. It is a great place to get a burger, a steak, a sandwich with sides! If you are looking for a vegetarian/I only want a salad option, it may not be for you. This is Iowa, not California. We love our meat in the Midwest. If however, you are like me and want a steak, a burger or a hot sandwich and a cold beer to wash it down, this could be your place! Went here for family dinner to celebrate mine and my granddaughters birthdays in August. Loved the old architecture. My family raved about their burgers. I had a prime rib. It was thin and the meat was tough and stringy, worst steak I ever have had. Service was poor. Loud atmosphere. We sat at 2 small tables pushed together right next to bar and servers station. Not sure which was worse - the food or the service. Very unfriendly, rude waitress named Sasha, did not ask how we wanted our burgers cooked, and took the plates away without bothering to ask if we needed boxes. The food was maybe on par with fast food. The burger I ordered was served on a pretzel bun, and came with "cream cheese" and what was supposed to be "jalapeno jelly" - this was no jalapeno jelly - it was more like really sticky sweet pickle relish, which slid all over, down my hand and wrist, making them extremely sticky, and the burger could not be held to eat, it just fell apart. They claim the meat is "fresh, never frozen" but these were definitely the frozen circles that you buy from Gordon food supply. The buns can be purchased at Aldi's. And there is a 5% charge for using a credit or debit card. When my husband went up to pay, she practically threw his card at him and walked away. Not sure how they stay in business. Seated myself and it was 4 minutes before any staff even said hello. The bar had used glasses which the waiter removed. Waiter suggested the hot beef, tenderloin, or Fred Burger. Tenderloin was hand cut, tenderized, and home breaded. Generous but not crazy proportions. Fryer grease was old and the fry was way past dark. Breading was very salty. Coleslaw was fresh, lacked flavor. Waiter left without checking on me again. New waitress was better. No one decided to count back the change. Looks like other reviews were spot on. Had to wait for a table, no problem, when they sat us down we waited. No one came back, not even to bring us water...And then we proceeded to watch the waitresses sit and talk. A table next to us(who came in after us)Had their orders taken and we were skipped. Once those guys received their appitizers and we still were not waited on we got up and left.
