The food was really good. Kick The Pig was great and giant. We loved the garlic cheese curds.

We tried the breaded shrimp and the lobster Mac & cheese. Both entrees were delicious. You won't leave hungry or disappointed with the quality of food and serving size. Service was wonderful and we had our own room. Give it a try soon!! It was well worth our hour drive!! We will be back!!

The facility is faux-English pub, with a woody vibe and lots of nooks and crannies. Servers are earnest, friendly, and very helpful, albeit not polished or slick. So far I have sampled the "pork wings" (breaded and fried slices of tenderloin - AMAZING!!!); the Reuben (solid, though weirdly served with Thousand Island on the side, not on the sandwich); the platter of red onion rings (crazy delicious, if a tad salty); and the spinach and artichoke dip (very cheesy - mmmm). Friends and family have ordered the Walleye (looked wonderful), the nachos (a little odd and not recommended), the chicken fajita salad (unexpectedly lovely), and the ribeye (a wonderful cut of meat, sadly very overcooked). There are lots of beer choices and more varieties of wine than I expected (they carry Malbec!), well-poured drinks, and the one dessert we tried (my birthday girl caramel sundae) was lush. A word on portions and value: portions are HUGE. You'll probably need a box. Prices are very fair and seem low to this city girl: great value for your money! If you are in the area and want a nice sit down meal in a cozy, friendly spot, this is the place.

The Irish soda bread was a definite must try also. We also had the crab cakes that came with enough greens that basically made it a salad. The crabs cakes were also very good. They had a huge selection of tap beers that would satisfy just about any palate. We were very satisfied with our experience. If we lived in the area this restaurant would be on my rotation of favorite regular places to go.

It's a very relaxing Irish pub vibe with a variety of seating options and lots of TVs. Our drinks came out quickly and the food followed shortly thereafter. I got a martini and it was very well prepared. My wife got a glass of wine from their decent wine list. For dinner, I had the lamb burger, which was quite tasty. It was a good combination of flavors and the fries were hot and crisp. My wife got a naked burger with a side salad. The creamy Parmesan was very tasty and it was a nice bed of greens. A table next to us had some sort of a problem with one of the dinners and the server tried many many times to get the customer to order a replacement, but he said he was OK with what he got. When she brought the check to them she made sure to take that off since he did not eat it and would not accept a replacement. They seem shocked at this, but I wondered why they just didn't get a replacement! Great service by that server. She was also our server and did a fantastic job with us. We had very tasty food and great drinks , so I would definitely recommend it and would go back if I was in the area.

They are always having deals as well, which make my pockets a little happier knowing I'm not losing a lot of change. The environment can be either quiet, kind of busy or so packed you can't get in. Most nights I'd say are fairly easy to get in and find a table. Its also a great place to take some birthday shots! Definitely recommend the green tea shots. I had a whiskey sour during their whiskey Wednesday and it was awesome! They have many options so you can't go wrong of what you choose. They also have pizza and chips options if you'd like a quick bite! The whole place is worth a try!

We were greeted by the bartenders with a smile and a "Welcome in!". The staff were really nice and even when the bar picked up a little later, they were attentive, efficient, and polite. They definitely didn't "crack under pressure" lol. Inside, the bar and tables were very clean and organized. There is a pool table, but only one :/ I do wish they had a few more because when the bar got busy, everyone wanted a turn. The prices are amazing and the specials are so fun! It's also nice that they're open during the summer, since most bars in Ames seem to close for summer vacation.
