Bryan promptly responded with an estimate for a gate replacement with and without posts, which I appreciated so I could make a quick decision on how to proceed with the 5+ responses I received. Bryan came out in person and reconfirmed the rates which were competitive with other bids I had received. The timing worked to refer him to a neighbor who also needed a new gate so he was able to do both of our jobs during the same time. I appreciated the fact he could replace the backyard fence rails and re-use the pickets for eco and cost reasons. He educated me on the pros/cons of using pressure treated lumber for the back of the gate and because I chose the pressure treated lumber, he will come back in a few months to stain it, the whole gate, and the 1.5 pickets that needed to be replaced. He oversaw the work directly. He and his helper finished the initial job in about 2.5 days, ahead of the bad weather. Bryan was responsive and easy to communicate with via text. He sent a proposal via an online app that was easy to review and sign. He accepts Venmo and credit cards, but there is a % charge for using credit cards.

I got quotes from different fence installers. However, I couldn't help but notice the appearance of work done on a couple of my neighbors' back fences (staining and all) as I would drive by. Fortunately, one of them had small signs on their back fence that provided information as to who the fence installers were and how to contact them. It was Big Brown Fence Installers. So, I took their information down from the sign and reached out to them for a quote. Aaron (the owner) got back to me pretty quickly. The quote was higher than what I expected, compared to the the previous quotes that I received. Aaron explained what all was involved in providing the quote (e.g., the quality of work materials (galvanized steel poles, wood type, etc.) that would be needed for the job and the fact that the work would be covered by a 3-year warranty). The previous quotes that I received did not have all of this. After coming to agreement with Aaron for them to be my fence installers, we scheduled the installation to take place in late June. They were booked out for about a month when first talking with Aaron in mid-to-late May, but Aaron made every attempt to notify me if there was an earlier date that may have opened up. In any event, we kept the originally scheduled installation date. On the date of installation, Aaron was personally on-hand to walk the yard and walk me through the process and review the fence lines and the area where the gate was to be installed, along with any other information that may have needed to be relayed. They started promptly at 9AM. Well, the entire installation was fully complete by close to 4PM that afternoon, save the staining that Aaron's dad, Rob, would complete for the entire installation on the next morning. My wife and I couldn't have been more ecstatic about the final product. And, once again, Aaron assured me that he would personally be there to take care of any issues within that warranty period, and he would do his best to take care of us if we ever had any future fencing needs. I even let Aaron and his dad put his company's signs on our back fence that faces that road, so he could get even more business. We will definitely not hesitate to use them moving forward when we have "any" fencing needs, and I do mean "any."
