USED THESE GUYS IN 2020 during covid for move from Bee Cave to Dripping Springs... they came in with the best no hidden fee pricing, no hidden covid costs, and no unexpected back end fees... Stellar service and communication, QUICK AND EFFICIENT, FRIENDLY AND PRESENTABLE, Professional appearance and polite movers and workers. THEY WERE SO GREAT, I chose to use them AGAIN for two stop pick up (house and storage unit) in Dripping Springs, for in-state move, with a Week notice - reasonable pricing, full fee disclosure, very easy quote process and personal service. Todd is the best!!! Will submit another review when this move is completed

Our move was from Austin, TX to the Albany area of New York State. Andy really made the process seamless. He has been in constant contact and provided value and guarantee to the move. They worked with me on the pricing and we ultimately locked this move in with them. Their crews were prompt as promised and let me know the progress updates as I had moved prior to them responding to my Texas house to pack up our belongings. We had minimal damage to our belongings and have been in full communication with them to mitigate our concerns. (It was a small bathroom dresser that was not in the best condition prior to them even touching it - was able to fix it and they do bring tools with them in case of this scenario.) What is fantastic is that they are a LOCAL company for the Austin area that goes all across the country. You won't be dealing with a moving broker or a van line that will only give you estimates. They give you prices up front. It's been a pleasure working with them and we will consider them again for any cross country moves.

Unicorn Moving & Storage - 6 Time Winner!

    Unicorn Moving & Storage

Unicorn Moving handled an extremely difficult downsizing and extraction move for me with…read moreprofessionalism, patience, and exceptional care. This was not a simple apartment move. I was transitioning from a temporary RV living situation, consolidating storage units, downsizing years of accumulated belongings, and moving into a 1BR apartment. The storage units had been packed tightly by previous movers and required careful staging and decision-making during the move itself. The crew worked methodically, blanket-wrapped furniture, pointed out and documented pre-existing marks before loading, and handled difficult maneuvering with impressive skill. They even opened boxes during the process so I could decide in real time what should move, stay, or be repacked. Nothing felt rushed or careless. I had already done substantial prep work to reduce clutter and create access paths, which helped the process, but the team still completed what was conservatively estimated as a 7-hour job in under 5 hours. They assembled the bed, staged furniture, laid rugs, and helped make the apartment immediately functional. Most importantly, they treated both the belongings and the customer with respect throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent, attitudes stayed positive, and they clearly cared about doing the job right. I tipped them well because they earned it. Ironically, I found Unicorn Moving through ChatGPT while searching specifically for movers experienced with senior downsizing and complicated transitions -- and the recommendation turned out to be exactly right.

This was a really disappointing moving experience to say the least. The crew took 5 hours to move…read moreeverything out of my place, whereas previously I had All My Sons moving do the same job in 3 hours with a 3 man crew. The crew was friendly but very slow moving and the lead of the crew did not do a good job ensuring his team worked efficiently. Several times the team was just standing around talking about personal matters. Unicorn moving also claimed we 'misquoted' when I spent 15 minutes inventorying our entire place and explained that we had a flight of steps leading to our place. The movers told me that they were put on our job last minute and were not told about the stairs. Clearly poor communication. The fact that this same move was done by All My Sons in 3 hours is proof in itself that Unicorn did not provide good service. I'll never use them again. Also, the crew was unprofessional in that they didn't have the proper equipment to cut open boxes/remove tape. They also asked for a flashlight because the job extended to night and they couldn't see in the truck. They were also playing music outside on a speaker loudly at 10pm at night in a quiet family neighborhood--we had to ask them (multiple times) to turn the volume down. Nice guys but definitely unprofessional. On top of all of this, the move was supposed to include a stop at a storage unit which we had to cancel because they were going too slow. We ended up having to finish the storage unit move ourselves the next day. I ultimately paid $2300 for a move that All My Sons did for $1000.

Granted this was AFTER their estimator came a week before. But no worries. Everyone showed up. All the guys wrapped, and moved our 2k sqft home into our new 4k sqft home. Lots of guys, lots of boxes. We even had a drink with the remaining crew after because they were so cool and good. 4-ish scratched or damaged pieces. 4 scratched chairs that were suposed to be wrapped but were not (photo proof). and 1 cracked cabinet. The mover guy said "I am sooo sorry I broke that". He was genuinely sorry. Here's where the problems start. We paid for the extra damage insurance/waver thing. Extra money per pound. They said they could not do ANYTHING about the scratched items... ok. WTF. But what about the cracked cabinet? They wanted to either fix it for 5 WEEKS (LOL) or give us $250. It's a 300lb piece of furniture. I am not letting you carry it back downstairs and keep it for 5 weeks for the "possibility of repair" then carry it back up. The damage to the house alone wouldn't be worth that. This goes against the contract they had signed. It's been 2 months of communication with Killian. 2 months since the move. Caution all looking to move with College hunks. Hit or miss. Mover guys = great. management and claims department = horrible.
