I took my dogs to KD's Wash N Wag the 7th of October and they completely butchered my dogs' grooming--and possibly traumatized one of them. First, they shaved my Pomeranians' tails down to nothing--something we've NEVER done before in their entire lives. That tail fur is part of their identity. For those who don't know it takes a much longer time for Pomeranians to grow back there tail hair and sometime will never come back the correct way. But what's worse is what happened to my sweet dog Blaze. Ever since getting home, he's been terrified, constantly looking back at his behind, hiding, acting like he's scared of being touched. Isolation and won't even interact with the other animals. He has NEVER NEVER NEVER behaved like this before. I'm seriously worried something happened to him while he was there. They also charged a flea treatment fee, even though my dogs haven't had a single flea all year. I checked them thoroughly before AND after the appointment--nothing. So why the extra charge? And now, after trying to get answers--they are ignoring my texts, calls, AND Facebook messages. I just want to know what happened to my dog. He's not okay. FINALLY after taking to measures on Facebook her being the only way to decide to message me. Please share this. People in this town deserve to know where NOT to take their pets. We trust groomers to take care of our babies--not leave them traumatized and broken.

Bella was spared the trip to the vet/groomer, which she doesn't like; and also usually she is there for the day, which she also doesn't like. She was delivered to our door looking and smelling great, without the evidence of stress she normally experiences at the groomers. I have been using Mexico Animal Hospital for the last 3 years. In the beginning, the staff and vet…read morewere wonderful. Apparently there have been many changes. Most recently the online pharmacy (under their name that they recommend) informed me they could not refill my dog's heartworm medication which I had set up on autoship back in October of2023. They said the vet refused to authorize because the heartworm test needed to be done. I had the heartworm test done on January 18, 2025 at their clinic. When I called in to rectify the misunderstanding I was told since I couldn't prove the dog had been taking the heartworm medicine, since I don't go into their clinic to buy it, I need to pay to have another heartworm test done now. That's all they can offer me. I have had my dog for almost 15 years, no other vet has ever made such demands, especially since they have done his tests for the last 3 years and I buy from their online pharmacy. The vet herself apparently refuses to discuss this with me and instead had a minion call with the offer to do another test, at my expense. NOT my idea of caring or reliable service. Makes you question their motives.

They even admitted that this happens about once a month on a regular basis at their hospital!! They have great treats and food for your pet and are always willing to explain or give advice when needed. This is the only pet store we go to now! Also we tried a couple groomers in town when I moved here and Denise at the north location is the only one I'll take my boy to! She is very kind and my panda always looks great when she's done. We had some less than stellar experiences with a couple other groomers in town we used before we could get in to see Denise and she is worth the wait. I brought my dog there several times as a walk in before someone told me, in a quick tone, that you are supposed to make appointments. It made me feel very silly. Also, they did not ask for any vaccination records before boarding my dog for the weekend. This could lead to serious health problems for all pets if one infected/non-immunized animal comes in. We showed up to board our pet and they asked us "where is your food?" The employee we arranged the boarding appointment with had told us nothing about bringing food or any other details about boarding. These are important details that an organized business with a customer service plan would offer without asking. They are just too quick to get you off the phone and on to the next sale.

The first time they had her, they completely shaved her when I told them to cut the hair shorter. I brushed it off as a miscommunication but seeing the pattern in the comments it was definitely intentional. It breaks my heart thinking she was left in her carrier all day too :,(. The second time they couldn't complete the groomed because she was being aggressive which is totally out of character for her (she loves humans!) I apologize but I knew they must have mishandled her and swore to never bring her there again.... The only groomer she trust is her original groomer which is an hour and half away, not very convenient; she doesn't even let me trim her now without potentially bitting or swatting at me :,( . I wish they would have actually cared for her so she doesn't have a bad association between grooming and being in pain or uncomfortable. She is a Persian and need constant care but now I struggle to keep up with her grooming need because they totally ruined her temperament during grooming by abusing her!!
