So my dryer has been acting up - overheats and shuts off when drying. I had the dryer vent cleaning guys out a few days ago and that did not fix the problem. So I called 559. I found them based on Google reviews. The message from the number I called said to text my info and the appliance problem to the number so I did and received a call the next day. He was able to come out late that day (bet 5-6) but that time didn't work for me so we settled on the following day - a Saturday. He gave me the worker's name, said the diagnosis is $99 and the time range he would be here. He also sent an email with the requirements which included that the service fee be cash. It was not mentioned on the phone so the morning of I went and got cash. The technician called me around 1:20 and told me he would arrive in 10 minutes. He showed up in what I guess was his personal car and did not have any clothing that identified him as working for the company. He was thorough and could not find anything wrong with the dryer except lint inside it (which obviously the vent cleaners did not get). He brought a shop vac in and cleaned it out. I paid him $100 in cash but I was not given change. I didn't ask because it felt awkward. All in all it was a good experience but could be better with a company shirt or ID. Not sure if he was supposed to give me change or if I was supposed to have $99 in exact change. read more

My Washer worked but not perfectly. I finally looked up a GE repair business. I texted this company and had a nice reply from George. An Appointment was made quickly. It was for late in the day and Santos got behind and could not keep the appointment. That can happen. I called and George in the morning and he was helpful, courteous and rescheduled Santos. Santos came out and diagnosed what was wrong with my washer. I also had a question about a question about my dryer. He wrote down exactly what I needed to order.The orders came and I called and scheduled another appointment. Santos came today and demonstrated skill and patience and perseverance. He was listened to my explanations and questions. My washer and dryer are in a small cramped-to-repair, hot area and Santos never complained. He allowed time for me to quickly sweep and mop the floor under my appliances. The parts he had me order were correct and his work was impeccable. George and Santos proved to be a great team and I am very happy now with my repaired and now humming-along washer. Service was quickly scheduled and cost was very comparative. I called again said they will send someone right over. Again never showed. I called them again they asked me no one ever showed up? That asked to give them a few min and would call me right back. My dryer drum stopped spinning, so I decided to contact 559 Appliance Repair. They told me they would be out the same day at 5pm... they didn't show up to about almost 8pm. Once they were here, they took apart my dryer and diagnosed the issue; they dryer drum belt had snapped and needed to be replaced. They did not have the belt in stock and needed to order a replacement; they said it would be no longer than two days. It is now two weeks later and I am left with a taken apart dryer and no repair. I went ahead and ordered the belt myself to get the repair done faster. I have been calling them day and night and no answer. Finally, I got through yesterday and was told they would be over at 6pm, but nobody came. This service is extremely unprofessional. I understand that we are in a pandemic and things are crazy, but you can have the courtesy of letting me know that you won't be coming to repair my dryer. I waited two weeks to give you a chance at my business and now I regret it. I could've had my dryer going sooner if you would have just let me know that you weren't interested. read more

Responded quickly, replaced a couple parts, pronounced the dryer fixed. He then informed me that the service was cash only! He then started the dryer to show me that it was fixed. Much to his surprise it threw the same codes. He took my "souvenir" parts, told me he'll check them and be back. This time when I called to see when he'd be back there was no answer, and for the next 3 days they wouldn't answer my calls. STAY AWAY from these crooks! read more

I would not recommend this company. They came out 1 time and thought they fixed the issue with my dryer. I have tried to contact them back multiple times and they will not answer my calls or return calls unless I call on private. Was told I was going to get a refund for parts and never received a refund. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have to end up repairing the problem myself after doing some research. I paid this company 325.00 for a problem with my fridge. They fixed the sensors supposedly to only have the problem start back again. I called Gayla and she said she would send someone out to check it out. Again they changed the sensor again after they just changed them. I called Gayla to tell her and she said the first sensors were probably no good. She assured me that she would honor the warranty and give me an additional 60 days. I've attempted to text her, call the company and no one has returned my call. I'VE CALLED EVERY NUMBER AND NOONE RETURNS MY CALL. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Our dryer broke at 3 PM, July 3, Friday. NO ONE was taking calls or working. I didn't even bother calling our home warranty and dealing with their foolishness. George answered my call quickly and diagnosed the problem over the phone (failing roller). He dispatched Casio who arrived on time at 6:30 and reassembled my dryer (I took it apart to look for problem, then couldn't reassemble it). He reassembled the dryer, which then ran fine. Not satisfied, Casio then disassembled the machine, looking for the failed parts and, while he was at it, cleaned, lubed and corrected the defects I had created. He found a foreign metal fragment that might have contributed to the problem. After two hours, he had it back in new condition, working perfectly. No charge for parts, servicing, late service or cleaning...just the service call (and a well deserved tip for great work). We will call again. read more

I had them come out in January 2021 to repair my dryer. It took multiple times trying to get a tech out. They told me between the hours of 5 and 6. Didn't show up until much later. Cost me well over $200 to repair my dryer. 6 months later my dryer isn't working again. Same issue as before. I tried calling them and tried to find out what they heck is going on. Usually when you make a repair it doesn't just break back down with the same issue 6 months later. I have called multiple times now and either get disconnected or their voice-mail (which usually follows with a txt message asking for pictures of the appliance). When I did get someone they said they would talk to the technician that worked on my machine and get back to me. Well it's August now and my dryer is still out. Only reason I hung on so long is because my husband asked me to try to work with the technician that worked on the machine before to see if we are covered under a work guarantee. I would NOT recommend this company. They do not have great customer service and they clearly do not guarantee their work. Never have I experienced a technician that will not stand by their work or replacement parts as typically parts come with a year warranty. read more
