I don't know what language they are speaking but it isn't "luxury". I've lived at 580 Anton for over 7 years, and I can confidently say this will be my last lease here. As one of the longest-standing residents, it's incredibly disappointing to see how far this place has declined. Over the years, there have been multiple management changes, and each one seems worse than the last. The current staff is unresponsive and dismissive especially Kevin, who makes it very clear that resident concerns are not a priority, particularly during lease renewals. Getting a callback can take hours, if it happens at all. When I first moved in, this property felt like luxury living. There was valet service, community events like poolside taco nights, clean carpets, well-maintained amenities, and friendly, professional security. That version of this building no longer exists. Now, the carpets are consistently filthy, amenities are neglected, and key features like the grills and TVs have been broken for over a year with no urgency to fix them. Valet is gone, events have disappeared, and the current security presence often feels unprofessional and absent. There have also been increasing issues with car break-ins. Access to the building has been a long-term issue that management has failed to resolve. The parking gate has been consistently broken over the years, and the call box has also been nonfunctional for years, making it unnecessarily difficult for guests to enter. I was even told to have my own mother "walk around" to the front entrance late at night instead of being provided a proper solution. Many of my friends actively avoid visiting because parking is so inconvenient and poorly managed. The rent increases are another major issue. Every year, they push the maximum increase (10%), forcing residents into uncomfortable negotiations just to stay. On top of that, parking, once included is now an additional monthly fee that has steadily increased from $25 to $35. It feels like residents are being charged more while receiving significantly less. The only consistent positive has been the maintenance team they are reliable, hardworking, and deserve recognition. Unfortunately, they are the exception in an otherwise poorly managed property. The parking structure and dumpster areas are also consistently filled with trash. Items are left sitting for days unless residents take the initiative to call and request cleanup, which should not be necessary at a property at this price point I would not recommend moving here. What was once a great place to live has significantly declined and no longer justifies the cost or the frustration. read more

I'm a long time resident and I've moved units within the building because I like living here so much. Mellisa made the transition smooth and has always been attentive, helpful, and exceptionally friendly. She quickly addresses questions and concerns. Kevin is also a fast to jump in and lend a hand as well. Sal and Anthony are a top notch maintenance team and respond rapidly to maintenance needs with clean and thorough service and are the best maintenance staff I've ever dealt with, including after hours lockout and emergency calls. The housekeeping staff do a great job of keeping things tidy and their efforts show on the property. read more

Let me tell you - My fiancé and I have been living here for 4 years now and we have zero complaints! All the amenities are very clean and pretty much always available to use with no disruption. Comfortable, quiet and clean units. Walk in shower, in unit washing and dryer machine and the kitchen are all brand new and never had any problems with anything. Simple and clean. Our unit is on the 1st floor which is above the garage, so we never had any bug problems as other apt. complexes have to complain about. The staff here at the complex has changed a couple of times since I have been here but every single one of them have accommodated my asks with no hesitation. They are always there if you needed something. To the staff - Melissa, Brittany, Sal and Anthony - You four have been the most amazing team to make our living experience the absolute best. Melisa and Brittany will answer any questions you have with a pretty good response time. Sal and Anthony - you guys are amazing with the upkeep of the property making sure everything is always running smoothly. Paula and I thank you guys for making our living experience the absolute best. If we weren't purchasing a home we for sure would have made our stay here a lot longer but it's time to grow up and buy a house. Thanks again for everything. read more

Dear readers, I've been a resident here for 2 years and will give my experience thus far. I'll start with the leasing staff first. Since I've been here, I've worked with Melissa 90% of the time who has been responsive and accommodating with any requests I've had. She's been available for calls, emails, or in person and always had answers for me. Overall, she and the team have exceeded my expectations. I'll share a rare, personal experience that is highly unlikely to ever happen to you, however, I experienced a flood from upstairs that ended up seeping into my unit. Apparently, the tenant above me left water running for so long that it ultimately reached my unit below. The staff immediately got to work on the unit(s) and offered to cover my stay at the neighboring hotel until the work was done. Although it was inconvenient, what impressed me was that the offer was already in-hand before I fully explained what happened within my unit. Melissa, along with the maintenance staff, were immediately on top of the issue, had an alternative solution for me prepared, and completed all of the work within 2 days. Maintenance: Let's be honest, things happen and maintenance is required in our own units or public places over time. Every building deals with it. With that said...I've had common maintenance requests and all were fixed to expectations, some were done the same day. The minimum expectation is to do the job quickly, quietly and cleanly right? That's a baseline expectation anywhere. All that is done here, but Sal and Anthony are more than just the basic maintenance staff. Truly, they're 2 cool human beings to talk to just passing by them randomly. No matter the mood that I'm carrying around on my walks, every time I see them they greet me with a smile and inject a positive vibe. It's unnecessary, unrequired, but I actually feel that they care about me and my son. Absolute 5 stars for this staff, along with the others whom I just haven't interacted with. But the building overall remains clean and has met or exceeded my expectations. Location: I love the location of this building, but I'll admit I spend most of my time within a 5 mile radius of here. Walking around the lake was always nice, the museum, restaurants, coffee, groceries are all within walking distance. For anyone who enjoys walks with a nice view, you'll have that here every single day. Overall: I would definitely recommend this building, and already have an old neighbor living here now. I came in a few times to check out different apartments, and she gave my family and I the most efficient rundown. Besides the great information, great tour, and quick responses. DO NOT LEASE HERE. They are scammers. Kenneth and Milica are extremely rude and snobby. They give misinformation and do not care about people renting their "luxury" apartments. The only luxury thing here was the Valet and they took that away. Took two plus weeks to process an application so they can keep consuming fees. The leasing manager Kenneth is unprofessional and should seek a different career path since being a people person is apart of this industry. These apartments do not sell themselves. The gym smells weird, pool is Very shaded and unclean. Units are Overpriced and dirty. Saw three roaches while touring in which I was surprised because the units are 4K a month. LOL Irvine and Newport have way better places than this one! read more

I've lived at 580 Anton for a number of years and as most people are relocate I've chosen to stay due to the professionalism, responsiveness and incredible resident relations Melissa Steffens, the community manager provided especially throughout COVID. One key area we're feature of the property is the incredible lake that the building wraps which residents from all over come to walk and walk their dogs in the morning and evening. As a resident I would highly recommend using the fitness facility which consists of a yoga studio and full gym. Other properties rarely in the facilities but 580 Anton never skipped a beat. In addition to the fitness facility this property provides common area office space in the use of private conference rooms which I've personally used over the years. Secondly, thank you for not opening the door when I did show up on time, knocked on the door, pushed the intercom button (no answer? locked due to Covid?). Called the 844# on the appointment email (of course no answer). I'm on the phone, outside of the leasing office, and patiently waiting for someone to assist me. After 15 minutes, I walked back to my car, drove around the corner, and discovered a lovely apartment complex! Lets just say I love it here and I signed a 18 month lease! woohoo! We have lived here for 3 years now and while we appreciate the safety 580 Anton has to offer, the con's of living here have now out-weighed the pro's significantly. Look for better options... With the consistent smell of a casino right outside our front door and the strong smell of weed outside our balcony every day is just the start of the many headaches we've encountered. Since we've lived here, the gates within the parking lot structure are consistently broken. And within the parking lot itself, no cameras are present, so unfortunetly cars are being broken into, such as mine and the staff here did nothing about it and will do nothing about it when it happens to you. And the so called, "gym," 580 Anton has to offer will disappoint you and make you wonder if it's even a gym or not. Clearly, the person who built this, has never been to an actual gym, because if they had, they would have installed fully functioning treadmills, equipment that doesn't break down constantly, and equipment that actually appeals to someone who goes to the gym. For how much money the owners of 580 Anton are forcing renters to spend year after year, maximizing the rent to the highest percentage possible should accommodate much more than what they are offering. On top of the maximum percentage of rent you will be spending here, you'll also have to take into account the additional fee's that will grossly impact your monthly rent. Utility fee's including a very high charge for EACH individual parking spot, even if you live in a two bedroom apartment, a fee for having "gym," and another fee called the "relaxation room," that has been closed off for a year. The amount of fee's that are happily included by the owners here will make you wonder if spending all of your hard earned money is worth the stay. It's becoming extremely frustrating to know that other apartment complexes in or around this area are offering more with a significant decrease in unit cost while 580 Anton is still forcing you to spend your entire paycheck in rent and not fixing or appealing to any of the renters needs or wants. Unfortunately due to this and the numerous amounts of issues we've encountered, we HAVE TO look elsewhere. read more

I stopped by for some information about 2 weeks ago. Upon arrival, there's a front desk in the lobby but it's not attended. I walked around the lobby and saw a few people sitting at desks in what appeared to be the leasing office. After browsing around for a few minutes (still not greeted) I had to make my presence known and ask for help. The lady with long blondish sitting at the first desk hair didn't event get up out of her seat to greet me. Asked me how she could help while proceeding to type on her computer (no eye contact). This place could really use some customer service skills. At least have someone placed at the front desk to greet and help potential residents instead of them having to find someone to talk to. The lack of hospitality shows, especially from the middle age blonde hair lady. Made me feel as if i was a burden on her day, was so rude, and unhelpful! read more

Doesn't worth the value!! 1. The front desk lady Lesley is very rude and stubborn. She seems very nice but don't get fooled by her smile. She should really know the difference between "managing" ppl and "SERVING" ppl. We tried to have her add another ppl on our lease. She was so mean and suspicious about us. Her attitude makes us feel like we are trying to do anything illegal. And then she received my friends application fee and form but 3 days later, she told us my friend cannot be added due to the lease is ending in 2 months. Well, why don't you mention it before taking my friend's money?! But in fact, my friend"s name is added and show on the lease! I want to give an honest review since people either rate 1 star for something like "my car was broken into" which is not an honest review or people rate 5 stars after living there for 2 weeks. Hopefully this review provides some perspective to anyone considering 580. Staff - 5 stars This is the reason to live here. The staff is amazing. Attentive, cheerful, helpful and they put a lot of work into making the place feel like home. I've lived in a lot of communities and this staff is hands down the friendliest and most helpful management staff I've ever come across. Location - 5 stars Very convenient whether you want to eat $2 street tacos a 5 min drive away or eat at one of the bougie places across the street. You will get the best of both worlds. SCP is a few blocks away, which at a minimum is a nice place for a stroll. The lake, as well as the amazing grounds of Plaza Tower, Segerstrom etc is perfect for evening walks with your dog or your SO. Lots of people on morning runs if you're a runner. Will soon be home to OC Art Museum. The pink sky at dusk, with plaza tower in the background reflecting off the lake is a must see. Amenities - 4 stars 580 didn't hold anything back with the ground floor. Driving into the garage, getting your mail or morning coffee was always one of my favorite parts of the day because the entrance is so beautiful. The pool/jacuzzi is not that great. Poorly designed and most of the year the pool (which is small) is in the shade. Jacuzzi is nice though as well as the grills and outside patio area If you have a dog, the dog spa is a life saver. The gym is really just a place for a quick cardio sesh or light weight routine if you miss your actual gym appointment at an actual gym. It's small and seems to have been designed by someone who hasn't had much exposure to gyms. The dance studio is gorgeous. For anyone that's an actual gym goer, 24 hour is just across the street. They have a relaxation room that's a waste of space and should have been used to make the gym larger. Package delivery, dry cleaning, business meeting areas, offices, are all top notch. The printer always acts funny but is easily fixed with some minor tinkering. Security - 5 stars Yes, some people have had their cars broken into but the apartment IS in South Coast Metro. ALL apartments in that area will have break in issues. It's a 5 minute drive to areas that are in total poverty to a place that is super bougie. For reference: Other places hace cars put on blocks and have all 4 tires stolen! Or have multiple break ins a day. That's not 580. 580 easily has some of the best security and does a lot more to mitigate the issue than other complexes. I left my car unlocked the entire time I was there and sometimes even left my windows rolled down, which by the way, will prompt staff to email you to let you know. The key is to not leave valuables in your car (and possibly to not drive an obnoxious car :P). Community - 4 stars Their marketing campaign, which almost made me not even come check the place out, is a bit silly and does attract some douchebags. See some of the reviews for a taste. Most neighbors are courteous, some are down right a pleasure to be around and a few bad apples are your typical OC whole foods shopping, lips like clown balloons, constant state of surprise face, angry the world doesn't worship their YSL purse enough types. I got lucky in that my neighbors were great. The staff also is constantly throwing community events that gets people together. The community feel is bolstered heavily by the fact that they only have ~250 units. On the flip side the small community also makes the bad apples stand out that much more. Floor plans/Apartments - 3 stars This is a tough one because there's tons about the actual apartments I love but tons that I wish was different. Appliances are top notch and the gas range oven is what pushed me to 580 over 3400. However, the floor plans aren't the most well thought out. There's a lot of wasted space in the odd layouts (my 750sqft 1 BR felt like a studio). The bathrooms are white floors and white countertops which means they look dirty shortly after cleaning. When they're clean though, they're gorgeous. The layouts that make the best use of space are the 2 bedroom corners which are $3500/month and up. Value - 2 stars It's hard to justify the price on these units and is ultimately why I moved to a different complex. For $400 more I literally got: 1 extra bedroom, 1 extra bathroom, 1 extra parking space, a den, a huge outdoor patio, a smaller outdoor side patio, 450 more square feet of livable area, nicer grounds, friendlier community. Besides the $400/month I had to give up really nice appliances, an amazing staff, awesome events, a nice location and a gorgeous lobby. If the prices become more reasonable, or if I ever make so much money that I don't mind being wasteful, I would definitely live here again. It's been one of my favorite apartments. read more

580 Anton was hands down the best apartment I've lived in. Pros *Amenities and the complex itself was always clean * Maintenance team were friendly, respectful and quick * No bugs, ants etc *All the leasing agents, especially Melissa, were amiable, supportive and knowledgable. What makes them stand out is the longevity of their kindness. I've had so may experiences in the past of leasing agents being friendly at first, but once I signed the leasing agreement, their true colors started to show. I was surprised and grateful that the leasing agents at 580 Anton were friendly and supportive from the very first time I stepped foot into the building to tour the apartment to the very last step out the building after I handed over my keys. * Parking garage is gated and safe. I always saw the security guard walking around at all times of the day. * Location: If you are busy person, this place is perfect; There is a coffee shop down the street (walking distance), a gym down the street (walking distance), a restaurant right outside the complex, and a barbershop down the street (walking distance). South coast plaza, grocery stores, fast food, restaurants are all around the area, within a 5 min drive. Highway 405, 55, 73, and SNA airport are all a few streets down which is super convenient. (I never heard highway noises and rarely heard airplane noises). * There is a cool little body of water surrounded by palm trees and greenery and path to walk around, which is convenient when you need some fresh air, make a phone call, or get some sun. Cons * The slow and perhaps haunted elevator that has a mind of its own. However, this con is trivial, I honestly couldn't think of anything else, which says a lot about how great this place is. But in hindsight, it increased my patience level, gave me time to send a few texts and encouraged me to take the stairs. Overall, I had a great experience at 580 Anton. If I could go back in time, I would have skipped the 7 different apartment tours I took and gone straight to 580 Anton, and I encourage you to do the same, you'd be a fool not to. read more

Our stay at 580 Anton was exceptional. The building is top notch and full-service with amenities such as a gym, valet, conference rooms, pool, bbq, coffee machine, etc. It was like living in a hotel. The building is immaculate even though pets are allowed. Even the cleaning staff is quick to pick up messes of irresponsible tenants' pets. More than anything, Kevin, the business manager at 580 Anton, is so helpful and unlike other apartment complexes I've lived in, he was responsive and always available to assist us with any of our needs. We really appreciate dealing with Kevin and his team (Pip and Derek). If we didn't already own our home, we would continue to live there. The location is fantastic as it is 2 mins from South Coast Plaza. We enjoyed the close proximity to Segerstrom where we were able to enjoy shows. We already miss living there! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I'm making sure everyone I know DOES NOT move here. I don't know if they hired the new people in the leasing office from craigslist but they are the dumbest crew I have ever seen. The manager emails me letting me know she verified with corporate that my refund check got mailed to my unit at 580 Anton (this being after I have moved out and had provided a new address for it to be sent to) I asked twice and she assured me that it was mailed to 580 Anton and she would check my mailbox every day and let me know when to come pick it up. So now I'm stressed about receiving my money only to find out it got mailed to where I had asked it to. Any email from the manager? Nope. The entire 5th floor smelled like weed for months, even to the day I moved out and I can bet that it still does. Leasing office did nothing to enforce their own lease agreement stating "smoke free apartment". The hot water in the shower takes over 10 minutes to heat up with no pressure. The water gets shut off almost every month and when you turn it back on expect to see brown murky water for 20+ minutes. Only 1 of the 4 grills outside work. The gate to the parking (which is a separate monthly charge from rent) is always broken so anyone can have access to your car. There is no 24 hour security like they keep advertising. Rent does not include anything - you'll have to pay for hot water, water, sewage, etc. separately. I once recently had to call the leasing office 14 times back to back until someone finally picked up. I honestly would not have written this review if it wasn't for the misinformation given by the manager who doesn't give the decency to call you back but emails you instead. I have never been more happy than making the decision to move out to an apartment 9 minutes away for over $1,000 cheaper. If anyone is looking for a new place I'd be happy to recommend you the apartment I live at now but PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE TO 580 ANTON. So glad I'm forever done. Save yourself the yearly regret of moving here. read more

I'm writing this review after having one the easiest move in processes ever! Desiree was beyond helpful in the entire process from initial touring to move in day. She helped answer all my questions and made me feel so comfortable to be renting at such a fabulous building. She is extremely knowledgeable with answering my lease related questions as well as educating me about the property and surroundings. I can't say enough about how helpful Desiree was with getting me situated. I was out of town after touring and she was so understanding and helpful with getting everything I needed in place. Steve was so kind, patient and professional. He showed us around and gave us great feedback. Although we didn't end up moving there because we ended up deciding to just buy a house in OC, I was so impressed and pleased by Steve's follow ups. He genuinely tried to help us get the best unit there. This apartment complex is beautiful and brand new. They have a very nice pool area. Background: My wife and I have lived here for 8 months, since April 2019, as part of a corporate relocation while our house was being built. Overall Notes: - The place is clean, quiet, nice and small dog friendly- all of which were important to us. - Having multiple vehicles it was important to have ample parking and guest parking, both of which were easy. - It is more expensive than the other property on the lake (3400) but 580 Anton is brand new and MUCH nicer. The gym even has multiple pelotons - They do many community events which is nice to socialize; like pool parties with DJ and bar service (not crazy but classy) - Age groups seem to be varied but most seem to be in the 25-45 professional range with a few families as well - All packages and dry cleaning get delivered onsite in storage lockers (very easy and convenient) Management Company: - Very responsive to any requests (have only contacted via email and in person) - Always giving out dog treats when they see @KygoTheMaltese Concerns: None, seems like an easy luxurious safe place with affluent clientele living here - If I had one request it would be to get rid of valet parking and have a 24hr doorman/doorwoman to let food deliveries up and to arrange concierge services like unit cleaning, etc. Thanks for a great 8mths 580!! read more

The community is good. But the leasing office is not as good as the community. The front desk have a bad attitude and brusque attitude that deflects problems rather than solves them. I think the only time you can be treated like a resident is before move in. Good apartment, bad service. By the way, highly recommend Steve, the best leasing manager I have ever met! read more

I am resident here for a couple of months and I wanted to share how amazing the staff is.I will specifically give thumbs up to Pip and Derek but the rest of the team is amazing too. Their attitude is literally one of the reasons I signed a lease here. The way they take care of the residents is second to none. Everything goes on smoothly here, rest assured. 6/13/2019 Around 5:30pm Got home today and saw a police car parking in the middle of our parking lot. The same police officer who took care my case a month ago was talking to my neighbor who parks close to me. I asked her if her car got broken in. She said yes and her purse that has $150 in it was stolen. She thought she was the only one got stolen, but I told her there were many incidents happened in the past, and she was surprised... I also feel pathetic that now I can recognize our city police officer because he comes here so often... Well, I can only say the security of this apartment is a total JOKE! read more

I've been a resident for a month now. Great experience with the office team - friendly and helpful. One small maintenance issue - and I just haven't reported it yet. Low water pressure. For the relatively ignorant residents posting about vehicle break-ins - logic would prevail not to leave your laptop bags and purses in your cars, anywhere. You're only a victim if your own dumbness. Sorry. The property is very well maintained and has onsite 24x7 security. I agree more cameras wouldn't hurt but I can see quite a few already exist. Been a resident here for 3+ years because we love the location and we have one of the nicer places. We have seen staff over the years come and go. This new staff however I have to hand it to them as they have tried to do the absolute least and still in their mind call it work I'm sure. Not once have they ever answered the phone. They don't call back, they don't email back as they just hope your issues go away. No human touch to their job or communication and is becoming very Irvine Company. The reason why we initially lived here is to get more of a personal touch and care. Chairs outside and by the pool are completely disgusting and the whole place is becoming rundown in just 4 short years. Water turns off once a month, security couldn't run a lemonade stand as cars get broken into (ours 3 times). Weed smoking is becoming a fixture smell also. Workout room tv's don't work and they took away towel access. The gates have broken 4-5 times this year and they take 4 weeks to fix each time so your cars are easily accessible from outsiders during the day. If this wasn't enough to top it off they have decided because they work so hard they are now taking Sundays off so no staff on site. Maintenance guy is a rockstar however, does his best on everything. I'm hoping staff figures it out quickly as this is by far the laziest and unresponsive and helpful to date. I love the location and don't feel like moving. Just hoping we eventually get a staff that cares as much as we do at $4600+/mo. Just received the response as you can see below. My wife has gone into office to ask about an issue and they said they would email her back when they spoke with senior management. No follow up. Wife emailed them twice in last week no response. I've left two messages at office including today. No response. Lol. But of course their response back o here is look forward to talking to you. My whole point exactly! read more

I am writing this review only because I have now lived here for about 8 months now and so have only the best comments to say about living here. I would say that if you get lucky to live on the fifth floor you won't have any issues with the neighbors above you. You may hear heavy footfall or loud music from the bedroom window area. I will say though I have never ever heard noise from my next door neighbors definitely a bonus. Sal the head Maintenance is the best! Always friendly and efficient. Melissa from the leasing office is super responsive and personable she always answers any questions I may have. I never feel like I am a burden when I email or call the leasing office. Just a great experience living here. read more
