However that second Sunday the plates were a bit skimpier. I assume it was the owner that plated our orders on the second visit. There are tables to dine in, however it appears most people take their orders to go. Honestly the decor isn't very inviting to sit down and enjoy your meal. The area around this location is poorly maintained (a Hooters across the road is empty and overgrown, and the restaurant next door looks like the roof is about to cave it) but inside Fried Green Tomatoes is a very friendly, customer-focused staff serving some of the best Southern food I've had in a looooooong time! The dressing was a bit dry. They offered a choice of gravy that likely would have helped but I don't like gravy on my dressing. The cabbage were a bit overcooked but all was still edible.
