Not only did they do a completely terrible job on my car and crack my windshield, but every time I mention it, the owner (who has me blocked on social media) does things like this and has people come to my personal page. Run far away! Yelp has removed the picture because his picture was so vulgar. Here's the text from his Facebook: "Kris Queen: Emma Azo... U cant afford a real tint job. Go play in traffic you cum dumpster" My tint job was from 5 Star! I was not offered any alternative quality tints. I was denied a receipt because of the percentage of tint I requested. Kris is a joke of a businessman who is now denying ever working with me to the BBB. I'll go ahead and attach more screen shots since he insists on lying. Why he has to be so messy about this I'm not sure. If he has so much great business why is he so pissed on ONE unhappy customer? Just own up to a poor job done. He lies about everything. Lied and told me they didn't have cameras, or lied to his friends and says they do, lied to the BBB about working with me. Very disappointed with the work as well as the professionalism of owner, Kris. I took my BMW to Kris about 2 months ago to get all of the windows tinted. The price was about the same as some other professional vendors I contacted but I decided to go out of my way because he came recommended from a friend. I had a set appointment to meet 'at his garage' where he had 2 of his workers/friends ready to install my tints, only problem was Kris had the tint in his car and was apparently out shopping with his girlfriend for furniture... so I had to wait an additional 45 minutes or so for him to race back and bring the film so that his crew can install. I made a trek from the Wisconsin border to Oak Lawn (90 minutes traveling each way) so that I can have my tints done right, so I didn't mind all the initial hassle as long as my tints ended up with professional results. Upon final inspection I noticed a bunch of bubbles and imperfections which Kris reassured would go away once the film fully dried. I know this is very common so I didn't think much of it quite yet. A few days go by and I notice that 'most' of the imperfections went away but there still a few streaks and bubbles that remained. I didn't care much about these but then I noticed a huge line on my rear glass that was directly in my line of sight when looking in my rear view mirror. This one definitely bothered me. It seems like the film was creased about 6 or 7 inches and still installed... as is. Now this is the part that urged me to write a review. I called Kris stressing my discontent with some of the work and mentioned the rear glass marking. He proceeded to explain that if it's the rear glass piece that was damaged it would take just as long to remove and re-do that piece as it took to do the whole vehicle. Yeah, and?? And then told me that he was completely booked for over a month with appointments and wouldn't be able to get to it for at least that long. Really?? I just paid you to do a professional job, which is what you advertise, and now I have to wait over a month to get a botched job fixed? I never called Kris back mainly for 2 reasons. I didn't want to wait over a month to get it fixed... and also because it's too damn far for me to waste my time and risk another inferior job. Kris, a 'professional' company would find time to handle a poor job immediately... and not add insult to injury by making me wait over a month to get it fixed. Also, you were not apologetic whatsoever. You made it seem like it was a hassle from the minute I called you to let you know of the issue. I wasted a lot of my time to get the tints done and paid a professional rate. I would definitely recommend a different vendor if you're looking to get a professional job done. read more

5 Star is a stretch. 2 Star Window tinting is more realistic. Nothing but issues since day of install, bubbles/contamination points. I made a total of 4 trips which included original install for repairs. The passenger window which had already been redone had no less than 25-30 air bubbles on the top portion of the tint after re-tint, just as bad if not worse than before getting it "fixed". Called to address the issue and somehow it became my fault. Ok, followed instructions to a T, didn't roll down the window for over a week. Granted, Kris did inform me that he'd fix it again but proceeded to tell me how he's done "hundreds of cars" and I'm the only one complaining. Needless to say I didn't want to make a 5th trip to only have the blame put on me. Decided to go elsewhere to have the two front windows professionally done. Amazing, not one bubble on either window. Granted I paid a premium but you get what you pay for. I can't believe for one second that for the "hundreds" of you that have your windows tinted here that they are bubble/contamination free. Take a better look and exercise your right to have it repaired by them. Response to the owners reply-Kris, please get your facts straight! I canceled my appointment thru social media? I blew up your phone in the middle of the night? You obviously have me mixed up with another unhappy customer. Cmon now. If you guys did satisfactory work in the first place there would be no issues. If you are in the market for tints, do yourself a favor and look nowhere else. Kris was extremely professional from start to finish, he was a great guy to work with and did phenomenal work. I first took my car to Jeff the Tint Guy for a remote start and tints because he said he would give me a pkg deal if I got them both done together. I thought it was kind of sketchy, with this guy working out of his home garage, but I decided to give it a try because you couldn't beat the price and he came with good recommendations on Facebook. I drove to Minooka from Plainfield, was supposed to drop my car off at 9am and he said it would be done by 2:30 or 3. He never called me back and I had to call myself at 5pm to find out the status of my car. I ended up having to go back the next day to get the remote start fixed because he messed it up and my windows were never tinted. He told me that he did a couple test panels but the tint wouldn't stick with the adhesive due to the cold weather and that I would have to wait until it warmed up a little bit. I knew that was BS, so needless to say I was pretty pissed off for the amount of time I had wasted. Someone else recommended 5Star so I called to get some more information. I called after hours when they were closed, so I wasn't expecting a call back until the next day. However, Kris called me at 7:30 that same night asking me how he could help. I told him about my previous situation and said I was looking to get my windows done as soon as possible. The whole conversation was awesome, we talked for almost 30 minutes. I felt like I was talking to one of my buddies, not a business owner I had never even met. Not only did he get me in there 2 days later, but he gave me a ride back after I dropped my car off at his shop. His customer service was excellent and the work on my car was top notch. This whole experience was A+++ in my book, I will never take my cars anywhere else. Do not think twice, take your car to 5Star! read more
