Went to this place for a window tints on my SUV, when I went into the office none of the employees were wearing masks during this pandemic I came back to pick up my vehicle with a dent in the passenger rear door pillar. When I went inside to ask what happen they said they didn't know and that it was mostly likely already there. The lady behind the desk said that they could check their cameras to see if possible an "accident" had happened. But once the manager/owner came into the shop, immediately he denied the viewing of the camera and started to show very strong temper towards the situation. To the point he had to chuck at tool at a parked Suv to prove that he was right. I don't recommend this place of business. After everything, they still wanted to charge me $50 more then the quoted price at the time of drop off. Instead of being excited to have my vehicle back with nice window tints. I have vehicle with a dent In my door. They also went ahead and called the police, because the owner didn't like that he was being confronted about damage that occurred while the vehicle was in for service. read more

Detailing job! My truck looks exceptional! No qualms with the quality of service here! Result of Job = Five Stars! However, for the same reason that their staff chooses to not wear a mask to protect me from getting COVID-19 and transmitting it to my elder family members, is the same reason I will choose to not be a customer and/or pay the 3.5% credit card fee they charge. I want the freedom to pay with whatever form of payment I wish, as long as the money is green. This is 2021, there are frictionless payment options that don't have undue / burdensome fees (Stripe / Square / PayPal, Apple Pay / Samsung Pay are very much frictionless and cost less). As a result, I'm taking my wife's car elsewhere (and she really needs a car detail). One lost job (from me) will result in enough lost revenue that Performance Detailing could instead eat the 3.5% fee themselves 28.6x before they breakeven on a revenue-basis. But I know it's hard for someone to grasp some "theoretical" lost revenue potential if they can't even grasp why they should wear a mask during a pandemic. Capitalism is really competitive. There are so many choices! Why make things hard on your customers?! Update (05/17): I am lowering my star count to one, as I received an unsubstantiated level-one response from someone. In case I wasn't clear, my poor review is simply because of this establishment's absurd and burdensome credit card fees. My reference to mask wearing (for all you anti-maskers out there) is simply to draw a linear argument to support my "personal freedom" to pay with whatever form of payment I wish. Recently bought a groupon for window tinting on my Mazda. Called and scheduled the appointment and was able to get in at the time I wanted on short notice. Cameron helped me pick out which percent would be best for my car and got it started right away. Picked up the car in less then 2 hours with brand new tint and and a good wash and wax. The service and tint was amazing I was curious of which brand performance detailing uses for their window tinting and looks like they only carry one company (maybe its because I used a group on, not sure). Cameron told me they only carry this brand called "proview". I don't believe its one of the major brands for window tinting but only time will tell whether it will hold up and perform. It does come with lifetime warranty which is amazing. Overall they did a great job and will definitely recommend them to anyone. read more

good evening first off i would to say there is no way a complete detail does not include door jams under the hood . i dropped off my truck at 8 am this morning with the owner he said it'll be ready around 2pm today i said ok fine . got call my truck was ready got there and instantly noticed dirt all on the window seals . also around the hood tree stems stuck in the sides. the workers came out laughing saying i didn't do the outside . then i asked for the owner and automatically he stated in a very nasty tone no good deed goes unpunished. but how can u get mad at the customer because a half job was done to my truck. so he knocked $50 off wow $250 for a car wash . now i'm home looking through my truck here is the proof and pictures of the poor job the owner did to my truck. at first i wasn't going to leave a review but when the owner displayed such a nasty attitude i figured why spare his feelings when he could give a rat's behind about mine .the pictures speak for them self so upset read more

This shop isn't just any old performance shop or detailing shop. I drive over 2 hours to use their services. The owners excel in keeping up to date with after market products especially for jeeps. They also only use the top of the line products for window tinting and detailing which sets them apart from their competitors. Meghan is also very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and answer questions unlike other shops you call you feel like you're being judged because you're a woman. They are very competitive with pricing too. If a product is not listed on their website they will find it. When I need a product I'll search for it and send email them the information. I used a Groupon for a window tinting on my Jetta. When I called to set up an appointment, they told me they charged an extra $50 for my car. Doug, who is the president and owner, called to explain why in a very professional and polite manner, and you know after the discount from Groupon I figured it was still a good deal. I was a little concerned when it took only 1 hour for them to install the tint, and they had explained that part of the reason for charging $50 extra was because it would take longer (3 hours or so) to install the tint on my vehicle--they had to remove door panels, etc.). They could not have done the job in an hour if it required so much extra work. Still, I figured I'd give it the week they said it would take for the tint to fully dry and bond. After the week was up, I took a look at and there were dust bubbles on every window and lots of bubbles on the rear window. I set up a time for Doug to take a look at it. When we took a look, he explained that there was no way to keep all dust from being trapped between the film and the glass. This occurred at the top edges where my car has a felt lining on the window trim. (After some research on the forums and FB VW clubs, I learned that this is a common issue on our cars--maybe why they charge more because it require more prep.) Doug stood by his warranty and said if I was unhappy with it not being perfect, they could just take it off and refund me the $50 and get a refund from Groupon. Now this is what really upset me. I'm from Arizona and everyone and their grandma gets their cars tinted in AZ. I spoke to my family and they have all had tint done perfectly, with no dust or creases in the film. Maybe in AZ the shops are just better because they get more practice? But I went ahead with Doug's explanation and had them try to fix what they could. They did fix the rear window which looks excellent! If they can do the rear window with no dust under it, why is it different for the side windows? There was still dust under the tint though and creases on the driver's side window, which you can see in the pics below. Now if dust under your tint and creases and bubbles is an acceptable level of a professional job, then you'd be okay with a tint from this place but I cannot recommend them if you want a high quality professional tint job. The original cost of this service is almost $400 for regular tint. That is how much other shops charge for more expensive ceramic tint. Now if I had paid this and they told me that this is as good as they could get the job done, I'd feel robbed. Since I got the discount I feel like I can just settle for it in the meantime and maybe when I am in AZ I can get a higher quality job done at half the price they charge. What also bugged me is that when I asked if they could fix it and do a better job, they went into this explanation about the point of tint is to reduce temps in the car and block uv rays and what not (I'm not kidding, he really started basically disclaiming my concerns by stating the benefits of tint). I was thinking to myself, well sure but if I bought a pair of pants that ended up having blemishes on it and brought it back, would you tell me that the point of pants are to cover up your body? Some people like to keep the appearance of their car professional and clean. They should realize that my car could've been an advertisement of their quality work, but now I don't think I could convince any of my friends to get their tint done here after they see the tint job on my car. I don't think this place values their customer's expectations of a professional service; otherwise they would've taken every step to get it right rather than try to push a removal and refund right away. The owner did reach out to me after reading this review because he was upset about the review. I thought we could discuss a resolution to these issues and my review would reflect the positive outcome because I would love to post a five star review. That would mean my car would look excellent and I'd be proud to show off that tint. UPDATE: My impression of the owner's phone call was correct. He called apparently more upset about my review than the fact that their second attempt to tint my vehicle did not meet my expectations. In his response to my email, he stated my review was dishonest. As far as my review goes, I stated everything that happened as objectively as possible. Also, these pictures are real so judge for yourself. I have never had a business deny me business because of my review and in fact, it provided them with feedback necessary to improve their service. The owner literally went back on their lifetime warranty and kept the extra $50 fee they charged. I am disputing the charge because they failed to render the service as expected and the job is defective. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere, and I hope no one else gets treated this way. read more

I got my tints done here in March on my new car. It's the second time I've gone here. Anyway, the tints were fine again, BUT this time around I'm docking two stars because: 1) This really pissed me off. They took off my chrome Lexus license plate frame and put on a cheap and tacky "Performance Detailing (with their phone number)" black plastic one in its place and threw my Lexus one in the trunk. I did not give them permission to do any of this or to unscrew and take off anything on my car. I was pretty upset to know I was driving around giving them a free advertisement for a few weeks because I didn't notice it was there. That wasn't cool. Make sure you tell them you don't want it on your car or check before you leave and tell them to put the original one back on. They must have just started doing this because this didn't happen the last time. 2) My car had some water drip marks on the inside of the doors they didn't wipe clean. There was also what looked like a shoe print on my back leather seat I had to wipe off. The people at the shop are nice and are fairly priced. Just make sure you check for drips and the license plate cover and you should be fine. read more

Ok, this is my FIRST 5 star review! I absolutely loved the job they did on detailing my Lexus. It finally looks like luxury again! With two small children, you can only imagine what my carpets and seats looked like in the back. Applesauce stain, 4 month old french fries, broken legs from cheap McDonalds toys-- you name it--it was back there. The owner was super nice and his team made sure I was pleased with the end result. Of course I wasn't paying full price for my first time trying this place so I bought a Living Social deal for %50 off. But after the wonderful job they did, I will definitely be back and wont mind paying the full price. read more

Just had my Mustang tinted, 35% all around to keep it legal for Illinois. Looks fantastic, also makes a big difference when driving on a sunny day, it is much cooler inside. First of all, I found this business on Groupon and I was looking for a decent price to tint our new car. I noticed that the Groupon for 4 door cars was sold out, so I decided to call and inquire about the Groupon. The owner answered the phone and he said he will honor the Groupon price. Right off the bat, the customer service was excellent. When I brought in the car, they showed me three different tints to put on the car and was extremely clear about products and pricing. I dropped the car off at 8:30 am and they quoted a finishing time of 1-2 pm. They finished the car at 12:45 way ahead of schedule and the quality of the tint was excellent. They were clear that you do not pull down the windows for 4 days so the tiny can completely dry to the window. In addition, the put an orange sticker over the driver windows so we wouldn't forget. After 4 days, the tint job had no bubbles and the quality of the tint is blocking out the sun better than before. If you want your window tinted and want quality customer service, go to this place. Was not impressed. I thought they were a little pricey for what was done. When I picked up the car I immediately noticed that they had thickly coated the tires with dressing. I asked the employee what brand product they use because I knew that I was going to be dealing with significant tire sling down the side of my freshly detailed White SUV. The employee would not tell me what products they used on my vehicle other than to say its a "commercially available" product. I asked twice but never got s straight answer as to what brand of products was used on my vehicle. The employee said the tire dressing was a gel based dressing and shouldn't sling. As to the tire sling I predicted: I experienced serious tire sling leaving black specks all down both sides of my freshly detailed White SUV. It took me 30-40 minutes when I got home to remove the huge mess that very easily could have been avoided. Take my advice and go elsewhere. read more

Not impressed. Not good experience. Very overpriced for work performed. Got windows tinted and full detail (interior and exterior). So far window tints look great, will have to see after they finish curing.... The detailing on the other hand no bueno. When I stopped in there 3 weeks ago to make the appointment I was told it would take 6-8 hours to do both interior, exterior and tint the windows. I got a call after 4 hours that the car was ready to be picked up. Red flag. As soon as I got in the car, I noticed that the door jams were not cleaned at all. Still full of dirt. Interior seemed to be very quickly done and rushed. Lots of spots missed with the Armour-all or whatever they use on the hard surfaces. I can also tell that the seats were not fully shampooed like they said would be done (in person and on the website). The front seats were not done at all and the rear seats were spot cleaned. I went back in and had the owner come out and he said something about how cleaning the seats pulls stains to the surface. Which I agree can happen. But these were surface stains to begin with so I know they were not shampooed. They did take the car back to fix the things I asked about. Afterwards the stains on the front seats were gone...shocking! That's because the seats weren't done to begin with. Website says clay barring will be done to exterior of the car...there are spots and things all over my car that if clay barring and waxing had been done would no longer be visible on the car, yet they are. I've clay barred my car myself before and have also had another place do it and had much better results. The rear floors weren't shampooed and there were still crumbs and crackers under the rear passenger seat. The front floor was spot cleaned and not done like they stated would be done. The back of the front seats weren't even vacuumed let alone shampooed. There is dust and dirt all over the back of the seats from my daughters shoes rubbing up on them along with dirt and dust all over the floor. In my opinion, very over priced for not good work. I very, very rarely complain about anything, ever. However, I am not at all impressed with the outcome of this and will not be taking my car back there or recommend them to anyone. If the window tints turn out I honestly still wouldn't recommend them. I think a very shady business is being run and taking advantage of people who they think don't know any better. Not a way to run or grow your business. This is so disheartening to have happen. To pay for a service to have it half-assed is not okay. Live and learn I really wish I hadn't paid for the detailing until I had inspected the car. read more

Second time around unfortunately didn't match the first detailing experience. My car was under cleaned and overdressed with dirt still on the driver side fender and noticeable new micro scratches in a uniform direction from using dirty towels on black paint. There was also spray residue all over the passenger side as if they applied a spray wax but didn't wipe it off properly. read more

Having found Doug and Performance Detail on Yelp being a 5 star place, I decided to come in for tints on my 2016 Subaru WRX. I called and was able to schedule for an appointment the very next day. After Cameron finished the tints, I was pleased but I could see some spots were streaky or had bubbles. They told me it'd go away, and most have. However, one spot definitely had a noticeable lint piece and it was on the drivers side. I called and went back in, and Doug and Cameron took care of it for me right away! The tints look good and I'm quite pleased. I agree that it's impossible to have 0 dust particles. They're also great people to talk to, as they told me about my car's vulnerable paint and recommended me to do a clear bra (looked at Doug's very nice SRT8 and how he did his). I bought the window tinting package for a 4-door vehicle, but they refused to service my vehicle because their "liability was too high" and then told me "the $180 I paid for my groupon wasn't worth their liability".
