I came here with my daughter pedicures and gel manicures , both were just okay. The place is clean. The problem was they tried to charge me for removal of gel pedicure when we just had regular polish. The nail tech never took out her nail polish remover and when I questioned her she just kept going , needless to say we won't return. read more

My first time here and definitely my last. I had an appointment at 11:00 with Miley and wasn't seen until 12:00. My pedicure wasn't done by the person I originally made the appointment with so not sure what the point of making an appointment is. When I sat down for the pedicure, acetone was put on my hands to remove my dip, which would have been fine and normal, but since I had to wait so long for my nails to get done, I ended up sitting with acetone on my nails for about an hour. After the pedicure finished, I also had to sit for over a half hour waiting for Miley to finish with another client. I had booked an appointment for dip, but she used acrylic powder. Before she even started, I asked if it was acrylic powder and she said no. She gave me a long explanation saying she doesn't "use dip" in the sense of putting clients' fingers into the powder.. which was literally acrylic powder. My friend is a nail technician and confirmed that it was acrylic powder. I've never seen someone give such a lengthy explanation over a lie. I included a picture to show that acrylic was being put on my nails and not dip powder. I asked for dip and didn't receive it, yet I was still charged full price for dip. Even after I said it was fine but that I didn't appreciate being lied to, she continued on with an unpleasant attitude. When she was done, she just tossed my hands down and didn't say anything. Just a bad experience overall. Do not recommend Miley at all. I already told my friend not to try this place. read more

They advertise dip powder but brush it on with acrylic solvent in a thick blob & use UV light to harden it. The point of dip powder is to avoid the UV rays & yo have a more natural looking nail profile. I asked several times & was told that they do it for sanitary purposes. No other salon does that in my experience. Also, the techs spoke very little English so it was hard to communicate about length, shape, etc. I will not go back! read more

Got my nails done by Peter and it's the worst set I've ever had in my life. The tips he used were so small for my nails and when i questioned him he said it was fine but now you can see the side of my natural nails and it has these dents on the side it's not straight I've never seen this before. It was so rushed and there's dirt or something stuck in the gel. It also looks grown out and I got them done yesterday. Never going back this was awful. read more

I am not one to leave negative reviews, but this is genuinely the worst manicure I have ever gotten. Extremely overpriced, terrible customer service, and my nails look awful. I wanted to take them off as soon as they were done. Every nail is a different shape, size, the color is bumpy, and there's nail polish all over my skin. My cuticles were not taken care of either. Everything felt rushed and like a money grab. I have NEVER asked a nail tech to fix my nails once the service was "done" but having paid 75 dollars it was outrageous not to. Once my nails were "fixed" they still looked awful. Would never recommend this place to anyone nor would I ever come here again. read more

This place does not care about their customers. The nail tech I had seemed like he hated his life. I tried explaining to him what I wanted and insisted he knew better. I didn't like that so I asked to be switched to someone else. He threw his file down and asked me to move. So I did and then I tried explaining to the new guy what I wanted and he told me to shut up. I was baffled. I said that's a crazy thing to say to a customer and he proceeded to call me crazy. I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say or do. I genuinely have never had a worse experience at a nail salon. I've been getting my nails done ever since I was a little girl. I know how the system works so I was trying to be as polite as I could but jeez the disrespect was unbelievable. All I wanted was a nice experience for my mom and I and I left crying. read more

My friend and I both had the worst mani we've ever had from two different techs. They used only the electric file to take the existing gel off and it hurt so bad we both had to pull our hands away multiple times (I've never experienced that). They filed them down so much my nails have never been so thin. They rushed through our service, I had to tell my tech one nail was never at the end, wouldn't engage when I asked questions about color, my friend left with nail polish on her skin and her one nail filed down to the skin on one side. I'm shocked this place has good reviews, perhaps we just caught two people on a bad day? We were in seats 14 & 15 or 15 & 16. We will never go back. Painful and left my nails in terrible condition. I have been a regular at 5th Ave., Nails, for a long time. I usually see Annie. She does beautiful decorative nails and can do a French manicure in 30 minutes with acrylic. However, there is a problem with appointment times. For the fourth time in a row The service was late. In fact today my appointment was at 11:15 AM and I did not get into the chair until just afternoon. I was told that the person before me was having very fancy nails and had been the first appointment at 10:30. I was not offered water just a chair. And I was not offered an apology a discount. I was told that I should've made an appointment for the first appointment at 10:30 AM. Nonetheless, when you make the appointment you are asked what service do you require so if the first appointment was going to be "very fancy Nails, " that required an hour and a half then the schedule should've been adjusted I suggested that if the technician is going to be late, it's up to the front desk to phone the client and let them know that there would be a long wait. My next appointment is at 11:15 the day before I travel let's see how it goes. read more

First time basic pedicure. Felt extremely rushed, tech not friendly (don't know her name, didn't introduce herself, no name tag), she was in a huge rush, finished in under 25 mins. I had to ask her twice to cut the nails shorter and very cursory nail filing. When putting polish on, she dipped the brush once and did all 5 nails! I questioned this as I've never encountered this before and she insisted it was ok and had some attitude. The salon was very busy and their prices are lower than other places. The end result appears ok so I'll have to see how it lasts but I will likely not return. read more

This place is so fabulous! I highly recommend calling to book an appointment with Annie, she does amazing designs and she does them so quickly too which is so cool. This was my very first time here and it will not be my last. I go to college around the area and it's my go to place to always have my nails look the best. I added pics of my very first set below! It was a Christmas design that I wanted and Annie blew it out the park. P.S. I forgot to review this place because I was so excited so the nails are a week or so old. But, look how great they look after two weeks! No lifting and everything is still intact. You will not regret coming here and if you do, maybe the sweet ladies had a bad day. read more

I had a gelish polish applied by these incompetent and non English speaking technicians. They ruined and destroyed my nail beds when they over soaked my nails with acetone and buffed off the top few layers of nails . My healthy hard nails have all broken and cracked underneath the nail quick leaving me with nails and fingertips that can't open anything as they are so weak they break when breathing on them . These cheapskates and crooks tried to upsell me acrylic nails instead of fixing my broken nails for free . Worst salon in Boca Raton . read more

Came in here to get an acrylic fill. Took only 30 minutes... that is not enough time because when you look at the picture and you see how I left with bumpy nails stuff all around my cuticles and nails filed crooked. I somehow had the balls to go back in there and tell the man who did my nails that the topcoat was super super bumpy. He goes to fix it and I left and they're still bumpy so I just ate the $50. A week and a half in two nails popped off. I'm not going to say the nail artist name but I'm sure there are some that are great at 5th ave. I just didn't have a good experience. read more

The manager or whoever is at the front desk is extremely rude and the nail tech couldn't care less to do a good job. They just rush. I went in for a full set and instead of soaking off the set I had the nail tech just ripped off my nails and caused me so much pain just so you can rush through, when it came to my pedicure, I don't know it was the first day on the job for the person doing my pedicure, but it was one of the worst experiences I've had at this nail salon and I've been coming here for years read more

Peter and Bentley are the most unprofessional people I have ever used. Peter tried to peel off nexgen of my nails and wanted me to not say anything. Getting upset and refusing to do the service on me. Bentley powdered not only my nails red but also my finger and hands trying to make me believe it was okay. The tall receptionist has an attitude and turns her eyes when unfortunately due to her language barrier can't understand what I'm asking. I tried and tried with them but some of the staff is beginner level charging an expert price. read more

I usually always come here, today i got my nails done and i told him the length i wanted, he didn't do the length at all he did it way shorter than what i asked. when i came to them about the problem they start antagonizing me asking me if i told him and that it was their policy to "ask if its good", she then started that she would review the cameras like i wasn't sitting in front of them. He was rushing the whole entire time it only took him 20 min to do my nails. Its literally so annoying that i had to go through this then pay 175 for nails that didnt even fit the standard i wanted. I will not be coming back the customer service is trash they all rush and are inconsiderate for the reoccurring customers. read more

I have never been to a place so fast & affordable. I actually wanted to make a review today after witnessing a terrible customer service experience. The staff handled an unruly client in such a professional manner. As someone who works in the industry I can tell you that the customer was rude & would not stop berating the attendants. At 1 point the other guests told the ladies to stop - ruining others experience etc. I was impressed w how they handled the mom & daughter and will absolutely be back. I like their prompt service I never wait & they have a lot to choose from. read more

I'm not one to normally complain but this has been by far the worst service I received. I called before I made an appointment and asked for specific nail techs since I liked their work. I was told over the phone I could not book with them since they only do acrylic and I'm doing gel. I asked if they had any pictures of their work and they told me no since it's a basic service and no one goes there for that. I said okay can you place me with a nail tech that does almond shaped nails good and the lady proceeded to say anyone there can do that, that's basic. When I got there the nail tech was very unfriendly, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I told her I wanted the same shape I came in with. As she started to shape my nails, I voiced that they were uneven and different lengths. I then told the manager and she was extremely rude and told me that's almond and they look fine. She started to make fun of my concerns and told her client those are Boca clients for you!! She then said what do you call them salty right!! When I went to pay, I asked her what the difference was since she told me it was $57.00 over the phone and now its $67.00. The manager said it's for shaping and taking off gel which in my opinion they should have mentioned over the phone. In most circumstances I would not go out of my way to write a negative review even if my nails came out bad however I feel it was only necessary considering how poorly I was treated as a customer. read more

The WORST manicure & service I've ever gotten! They refused to give me a refund after they messed up 3 times! It was a mess, polish all over my hands. They demanded I get it fixed and had no choice. They overcharged me at the end, after having the worst experience ever and did not accommodate. I was there for 3 hours just for a manicure and all the crap they made me go through! This place is hit or miss. The lady decided to use black underneath the chrome (showed a pic of hot pink chrome and it came out purple-ish) and this is how it looks after one day. She was also filing my cuticles, as you can see they look terrible. I paid $70 for this fill. read more
