I was a regular when they 1st opened up. I was so excited for a salon that I can walk to during lunch or after work to get a mani/pedi. Julie left a terrible taste and I havent revisited since. I showed her a few inspo pics, instead of saying she couldn't replicate it- she did a horrible job. I told her I didnt like it. All she said was, "Im sorry you don't like them Michelle." It was a sloppy job. I was her last client for the day, I guess she really wanted to go home... the least she could've said was to fix it up the next visit. I was excited for the nails since I was flying to Vegas. The nail polish was very thick, uneven- bumps you can see from streaky polish, you can see the polish on my skin. I was very embarrassed and insecure so I had to get them redone once I landed. Really disappointed with my last and final visit. I liked my nails done by a different tech, the picture with the burgundy and gold nails prior but with my last appt with Julie, the owner - it's a no go for me. Hi there! I am sending an updated review, it has been almost 20 days since my last review regarding my Nail Fungus. I had received gel X and supposedly I didn't realize that there were gaps in between my nail and the false nail. The day after I sent in the last review, the manager reached out to me with a full refund. As my nurse told me, "it is safe to say, always make sure your false nails are COMPLETELY sealed since that was the reason for the fungus growing underneath my nail." Unfortunately, I can not receive new nails for sometime. I truly hope this will not happen to anyone else, Instyle Nail Spa, "please take this into consideration." Instyle was one of the only nail salons in the surrounding area that did it (let alone even heard of it). We were able to make same day appointments. In a matter of less than 24 hours, my careful at-home nail and hand care over the last 15+ years has been undone. My cuticles are shredded, my nails are bendy, brittle, and impossibly thin, and had to be cut all the way back following removal of the botched manicure from this salon. This was my first time coming to a salon for a manicure, so at the time I genuinely had no clue how badly they were butchering my hands. After a painful experience and messy finish, I decided to look up whether this was normal - was everyone really going through this just for nails? Turns out, nothing about this experience was normal. The tech used the electric file on my cuticles, leaving them torn open and bloody in 5 different places. He didn't trim my natural nails before placing the tips, so there were massive gaps between the two (aka the perfect spot for moisture to enter and bacteria to fester). The gel was piled on so thick over top, and applied so sloppily that it spilled over the edge of my nail onto my skin and was cured there. His station and tools were messy and unkempt, and now that I've realized just how bad this place was about sanitation, I'm terrified that I'm going to get some kind of infection. The end result was super thick nails with sloppy edges that I could feel pulling painfully at my natural nails every time my fingers moved. Though I was (and am still) extremely upset about the waste of money, I knew I couldn't leave my nails this way, and found a much more reputable salon the next day to remove this nightmare manicure. They were as gentle as they could be, but the damage was done. Because of the busted application they had to soak my nails for a very long time, and while they tried to use the scraper to minimize damage, they ended up needing to use the electric file for most of it because it would. Not. Come. Off. What should have taken 30 minutes maximum took over an hour. My nails are left in the worst shape they've EVER been in, and I am embarrassed to have anyone see them. Let this be a cautionary tale. For the sake of your hands and your health, take your business literally anywhere else. I guess it's like they say - if you want something done right, do it yourself. I'll be sticking with my at-home manicures for the foreseeable future. read more

They take their time and do a great job. So far I haven't encountered anyone with an ego or be rude like at 5th Avenue Nails. They're very friendly and listen to your requests. This is my new favorite nail salon! Acrylic fill with regular polish is $35. With gel it's $45. To remove gel polish they charge $5 unless you get gel again. In which case, they won't charge you to remove it. FYI - it's next to Dunkin Donuts :). read more

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Actually, they can keep one star for the very sweet woman that works the front desk. I've seen everyone but Julie and am constantly disappointed. Today was by far the worst as I sat with Mike. Mike put on tips and then did dip and a design. I was unhappy with the length and shape of my nails. I asked Mike the first time to change them, he said sure. I asked a second time, he didn't respond but sighed like it was an inconvenience. I asked a third time, which he ignored. I should have stopped here but didn't. He told me the design I chose was easy and thanked me for the design. Comical. The paint job he did was awful, as seen in the photos. I can't even put more energy into writing how bad it was. But that wasn't the worst part. Mike cut me six times. 6. I'm on blood thinners and bleed very easily. I made a comment each time he cut me. Despite that and my visible blood, he continued to drill away. I was visibly upset and it was apparent. Julie, the owner, sits up front and saw I was upset but did nothing. I can't believe I paid $60 to bleed and have painful nails. Whatever photos they're posting of designs are not representative of the work they do- stay away! read more

Woman-owned local small business, this facility is clean and currently taking limited customers to keep everyone safe. They have convenient hours so working folks can make it after work. I made an appointment for Thursday evening but got caught up at work and then completed stuck in traffic and called the owner Julie in a panic cause I was late to my appointment. She was super sweet and accommodating. I wanted a dip powder manicure and gel pedicure but I knew there was no time to do both before the store closed. Julie still let me go and I got to do the manicure. Ann did my nails and she was a little rushed but she still did a good job. I had quite a bit of glue and color on my cuticles and side nail beds but I was able to clean it off the next day. I came back in the morning and Julie did my pedicure. She's great at attention to detail. She was even able to do an adorable free hand heart design I saw on Pinterest. Love it! My only complaint is the water in the tub for soaking your feet was cold. I'm happy i found this place! I went in for half leg waxing, eyebrow clean up and spa pedi. They worked on accommodating me since i needed a same day appointment. The leg waxing was slow and meticulous and The practitioner could use a little practice pulling off the entire strip at once. Aside from a few painful glitches the work was done very well! My eyebrows were also done very well, and i was nervous because in the past at other places they go too thin, but yay great job here. I had the worst experience of my life. The technician was less than an amateur. When he used a machine, I felt so much pain. And he removed all my powder nails with the machine which is bad for nails. And also his customer service was Terrible. I have been going to Kaitlyn and she consistently does a really great job. I usually get dip on my nails but the colors often look so different on my nails from the samples. She introduced me to UV gel and spent time making sure I got the color I wanted. I absolutely love my nails! She does my toes too and the come out great. This is my second visit to Instyle Nail Spa located on 348 Yamato Road in Boca Raton. This is a new business and a nice addition to the community. It's a beautiful immaculate spa tastefully decorated. There are 8 spa pedicure chairs as well a manicure tables so it's a great place to come with your friends. They also offer waxing services to clients. On my first visit I treated my self for the Tropical Citrus Pedicure with 15 minute massage. Max was my nail tech and it was an amazing experience. On my second visit I opted for the Signature Pedicure with the lavender sea salt scrub and lavender lotion. Today Ann provided the service and she is a sweetheart. Lynn is the best, avoid Michael and Julie (the owner) is stingy Summary: I came here three times, first time was great but the second and third times, I had to wrestle a rude owner for the most basic of services who was not listening to me, wasted my time and money and tried to walk all over me. Lynn is amazing and the only reason why I gave this place any stars. I was in Boca for a month during the summer visiting a friend. I came in the first time with two other friends and fell in love with the nails Lynn did for me. Lynn is super detail oriented, sweet, patient and knows what she is doing. It was my first time getting acrylics but I could not find a single flaw with my nails and I got compliments everywhere I went during my vacation! See last picture in review for Lynn's work. Three weeks later I came in back for a fill on the weekend and called TWICE to make sure I could get scheduled for one, but somehow Julie (the owner) thought I came in to get my nails removed. Julie should have first confirmed what service I came in for, but she immediately told me to soak my nails. Only after did the nails start falling off in the acetone, did I have a chance to tell her that I was actually here for a fill. Julie never apologized, and just shuffled me off to Michael. Because my nails had soaked in acetone and Julie never told her staff to replace my nails from the bottom up, the acrylic reacted to the acetone and began foaming yellow stuff on my nails. Michael just buffed it off and I ended up with murky af yellow nails that did not look clear and transparent like the first time. Not to mention, there was fibers from his nail brush stuck in my nails and the bottom of my nails near the nailbed had chips/gaps. In short I had to come back another time because Julie couldn't fit me in, and when I did she argued with me and only tried to give me the bare minimum to get me out the door. Julie made Lynn redo my nails for something Julie messed up for free of charge, (which I felt bad about because it wasn't Lynn's fault). I wasted a bunch of time here and my nails still have yellow foam in them because Julie refused to let Lynn redo my nails from the ground up for something Julie ruined (mind you my nails and my fill were NOT cheap) and I saw no tangible difference. I left because I was tired of Julie not listening to me and having to fight for every little improvement. Julie only apologized at the end when my friend who stuck up for me was in the store. Julie knew I was only visiting and probably did not want to waste time on a customer who wasn't going to come back, even when I returned to get my nails fixed on a slow day with little customers. If you have to come here, just ask for Lynn. I guess this mess wouldn't have happened if Lynn had been in charge of my nails all along. note: my other two friends who got their nails done here by Michael and Monica(?) -- their gel polish started peeling two weeks in and the other's sequins started falling off the day we left this salon. read more

I felt very put off and lack of customer service from my technician little time spent on exfoliating and moisturizing she put little effort and communication until the end when she realized I was dissatisfied and upset! Went to have a dip manicure. In Less than a week I have 2 chipped nails and normally I can go 3 weeks in between manicures. I asked for my nails to be made shorter which they were not. Then he started to shape my nails narrower on the top. That was his decision. My nails were clearly a soft square shape. He also made a comment about me having a dip manicure. If he doesn't like doing them, he should not. Definitely not a good experience. read more
