THIS PLACE SUCKS. my nails look like a 5 year old did them. they have little spots where the polish doesn't cover, my nails are filed on a diagonal and all i can say is i don't understand how a nail tech can let you walk out of the salon with nails looking the way mine did. the guy doing my nails was obviously too busy trying to have a convo with me instead of focusing on my nails. he didn't even put lotion on the top of my fingers just my palm. I've been here a handful of times and have had a few questionable experiences, but nothing crazy. However, the last time I went was a disaster and it was without a doubt my last straw with this establishment. The person doing my nails was rushing through the process so much so that I was cut with the drill on every single finger. I understand things happen as I have been getting my nails done for years, but my fingers were bleeding from the drill and the individual kept going without bringing any awareness to the issue or continuing more carefully-despite stating that I was in pain. My acrylics turned out mediocre at best for the amount of times I was cut with the drill. I asked the front desk if there was anything that could be done about the lazy job and for how visibly cut my fingers were and she said I could get my nails redone, but there was nothing else she could do. She stated it was my fault for not coming to get her, mid getting my nails done, so nothing could be done. I wasn't even offered an apology from anyone throughout this whole process. If this is the policy here then fine, but I am not going to continue going somewhere that doesn't care about their customers in even the smallest amount. I work in the service industry so I am always very understanding, but it's disappointing to see how this establishment treats their customers. If you decide to go here just be cautious of this because these habits could cause/spread infections if multiple people are being continuously cut with the same tools. I've been following this ig page for months and finally came in for gel pedi and full set with design. The front desk is very lovely, and management speaks near perfect English so it was easy to explain what I wanted. The pedicure girl was very meticulous and took her time. She got rid of all of my callouses. And gave me a lovely French design. The guy who did my design def knew what he was doing. And he wasn't even the main design guy there. If I could give 0 stars I would because that is what they deserve. They purposefully gave me gel instead of regular polish which is what I asked for NUMEROUS times to upscale my price. After calling the front and complaining she tells me "well we can just drill it all off and give you your money back" after spending 2 hours there. They treat their clients with no respect clearly and would not recommend this place to anyone. Completely dissatisfied with my manicure and overall experience. I got a full set of acrylics with gel polish and the person who did my nails rushed through them and didn't even bother to clean up my nails before hand. There was no clipping, filling or cuticles pushed back. The gel polish was very quickly put on, leaving behind brush strokes and an uneven translucent job. The acrylics are way too thick and when I asked to fix them he just said no. Also, he got distracted half was through my manicure to talk and watch Facebook videos with his coworker. Hopefully I can go in tomorrow and see someone who actually cares about their job, this manicure is just horrendous. read more

Do not go here. The people are very rude. I went there this morning to get my nails done. My tech was out sick. One of the employees decided to do my nails he was not paying attention and cut my skin under my nails. I mentioned it to him. He took it personal instead saying sorry. So I decided to go to the counter to make an appointment for my tech Miley to do my nails, and this employee started screaming and told me to get the fuck out, and that he was going to called cops on me. I was shocked by his behavior because I told him he was cutting my skin. I have never been treated like this for anyone. I hope Karma comes around and they fire him. Please do not go here. if there was a zero star id chose that, i went here a couple years ago and they were amazing. I got a Christmas gift card to get my nails done and they were just horrible so many of them were put on slanted a lot of them were the wrong size of nail (a pinky sized nail was put on a middle finger) I told him to keep fixing it and he said he was in a rush at that point I was just so annoyed I just left the next day I called and the owner said he'd give me a free set the next day to fix it, when I came in and sat with him he then said "but how does this compensate me?" And refused to give me what he promised the day before. The whole time he was huffing and puffing. the nails were overall shit and he was shit and didnt replace the nails, even the crooked ones just 2 that i cut off cause they were to embarrassing to keep on. dont go here they downgraded so fast and complete shit. even the review comment is saying " this review is looking pretty epic! Not only is she warm hearted and so welcoming when you walk in the door but always makes sure everything is running smoothly! She's amazing at what she does she shapes my brows perfectly every time. She is gentle and does not rush. She has always fit me in even if I walk in at there busiest times. She makes me feel so comfortable. Normally does good designs but depends extremely on the person. Peter, Tony, and Cassie are amazing. HOWEVER, there are a lot of nail techs that rush and mess up your nails. Some do not even do designs. DO NOT go to Annie. She drilled down my nails and barely got the powder off. She cut my nails extremely short and rushed to finish my nails within 20 minutes while still charging me $42. Peter is amazing but he wasn't available. When using lotion at the end, she used the end of the bottle with a dot left. Got the nail powder all over my hands mixed in with the lotion. Did a horrible job. DO NOT USE ANNIE. read more

I gave them a picture and it looked the exact opposite from what I wanted. They out no effort into the design. mt Nails are lumpy and the rushed the nail polish so it's lumpy. They did not bother to cut my nails and one of my nails were really short while the rest were long. So now my nails are long except for one. And here is the worst part. After I walked out of there undatifised I found a huge hair that is now in my nail polish and can't get it out because it's gel. They overcharged me for these nails and the effort they put into it was disappointing. My nails are disgusting. read more

I have been going to this nail salon since September 2020. I loved my nail tech Miley and Tom who used to do my toes. The last couple times that I have been there the receptionist has been extremely rude. Even when I have an appointment I would have to wait more than on one occasion.I will not be returning strictly because of the rude receptionist in the front. Today was my first time going to 5th Ave nails and it was one of the best nail places I've ever been to. Getting an appointment was super simple, I wasn't put on hold for 20 minutes or anything like that. It was very clean and put togetherAs soon as I walked in I was greeted and Peter was extremely helpful in helping me figure out exactly how I wanted my nails done. I wanted to get dried flowers in one of my nails and Peter helped me pick out my flowers and found a nail color that matched perfectly. He did an amazing job on my nails, they are perfectly shaped and they aren't too thick which is rare when I get my nails done. All and all amazing experience, and make sure to book with Peter he's great at his job and pretty funny too. read more

Yesterday, they had someone do them and she waxed off HALF MY EYEBROW! She knew she messed up because she gave me an eyebrow pencil to fill them in and kept apologizing and flat out told me she messed up. This is going to be a long one but please read this whole thing if you plan on coming here. I went here about a week and a half ago with my daughter and would absolutely give this place zero stars if I could. First of all, they sat my daughter down and the table was completely DIRTY, also refusing to move her to a cleaner seat. There were nail tips and clumps of polish on the table from the person before me, and to be in a pandemic and not clean up after each customer is not fair. Next, I told my nail tech that I wanted french nails, however I had yellow colored nails on beforehand, and he did not take off all of the yellow pigment before he did the french nails. You can see the yellow pigment underneath the clear french polish and it looks horrible. They did the same on my daughter's nails, but she got full-colored nails so you cannot see it. Lastly, my nail tech did not even bother to do my cuticles. I expected much better service from here and the people were not the nicest at all! DO NOT come here!!! read more

I went and got gel tips on all my nails. I was in a lot of pain on my pinky nail and had to remove the nail and there was a infection under my nail. They also cut my skin and put polish over it and did not desinfect the cut she just took a dry paper towel and rubbed it on my finger. I would not go here. read more

The first time I went here it was ok. I have high expectations being that nail salons where I'm from in New York are so amazing. This place is clean. But they are so slow and the work they do is so inconsistent. I get gel acrylic fill ins which is a fairly simple concept. The first time the lady told me at least 15 times to get a new set. Ok fine maybe next time you don't have to keep trying to sell me. The next time I went in, my nail that they replaced broke after only a week and they charged me. Meanwhile they didn't charge me last time. But i didn't wanna get the girl in trouble so I didnt say anything. The girl who did my nails this time kept getting up and walking away. So rude and annoying. I was about to leave. that same nail that they replaced twice broke after four days! I went in to get it fixed and said you can just do gel polish without acrylic.... the same woman walked away after starting it. This is just one nail. After ten minutes I painted my own nail!!!!!
