My mom set me up with a box subscription service from this cute shop for Christmas and my birthday…read more... which also happens to be on Christmas Day lol! I'm from Joplin, but haven't lived there since 2011. I've been in CA now for 6 years and my fiancé and I just bought our first condo together. Mom said she thought this gift would be a cool idea for her to "help decorate the condo" ... from a distance! I just received my first box all the way in CA and it arrived perfectly! As you can see in the pic, the presentation inside the box was SO cute! Everything was perfectly packed for a long shipment while still looking adorbs. I have the perfect white floating shelf in my dining room where I've already setup the first box's stuff! Mom said I'll get an email each month and will have the choice of going with the seasonal box or a different one. She said to trust the shop owner because "she has really great taste and the whole boutique is full of great decorating items!" Thank you, all the way from CA!

My only recourse is to protests credit card puchases, mail stock to their Joplin store and fight the purchases. again,ORDER NOTHING, CUSTOMER SUPPORT DOES NOT EXIST! Suzanne Harden, Indiana

Well, it could be worse. There is no Northern Tool Co. (do a google for their website) around…read moreand so this is the cheap tool place to come to in town. Sears, I think still has tools but as we all know, Sears is a mere ghost of what it used to be. For the size, nice selection and nice prices. But, it's still Harbor Tool and on most of these things like power tools, I wouldn't want to buy them if I were in construction and such tools would be getting heavy use. I find the staff friendly, when you can find them. Often they're understaffed creating long lines and frustration that it took you 15 minutes to find what you wanted but 20 minutes to pay for it. Management has a problem, not sure what it is. Hope they fix whatever is causing the staff to go off. The other problem is part of the store is used for storage and they have a big door that connects the store to the storage area. Then they'll start up some paint gun or something that has fumes and likely says DO NOT USE INDOORS flood the air that the customers would kind of like to breath. So, I would say the ability to read is not a high priority for becoming a manager of this store. Horrible, horrible parking lot. Rangeline is a busy, somewhat suicidal street to turn left on and turning right isn't a picnic either. Narrow parking lot and then if you start to back out, factor on some idiot coming off Range Line at 45 or better MPH. Parking is a challenge. Avoid parking if possible. Occasionally, they'll have a sidewalk sale with a bunch of junk set out at a bit of a discount. Maybe 5% or whatever to get someone to think "Wow, what a great deal!" One of the worst things I've seen Harbor Tools try to push off on the unsuspecting public is a stupid generator that I believe is rated around 800 watts. Well, that's enough to run lights but you have to mix it with oil like you'd do with a weed eater. That is a bother. All it's going to take is your brother in law who's had a couple of beers and probably isn't too bright to start with, to fill it up with regular gas and seize the little engine that likely sounds louder than a leaf blower at max. Good and cheap I'll say. Good and good, well, define good.

Harbor Freight is my first choice when shopping for anything which they might possibly carry. The…read morestore in Joplin is much nicer since they completed their addition. The staff is very helpful, although extremely busy. I don't mind the wait time, because for me it is like a kid going into a candy store. I always allow plenty of time to shop when I visit Harbor Freight. I have been a mechanic for over 40 years. I also do woodworking, home repairs, yard-work and a bit of welding. I have spent more more for similar tools at other stores, but have not been convinced that the expense meant higher quality. In reality, all of the stuff, no matter where you buy it, is made overseas and probably at the same factory. My Brother (the one who must have the Best of everything) buys only Name brands. My Harbor Freight stuff usually outlasts his yellow stuff. If my stuff breaks, Harbor Freight replaces it, usually on the same day. Try that at the Big Box store. The parking is a problem, but no more so than just about any business along Range Line road. Plenty of parking in the rear of the store, even when I am pulling my Utility trailer. When exiting the parking lot, turn left to the next corner, left again, and that will take you out to the traffic light across from Target. Look around, think about where your car is going, and enjoy Harbor Freight!
