Absolutely horrible place asked them to get my jeep drive able after it stalled out on me in dollar general parking lot on Main Street...had a rebuilt transmission in it warranties for two years and the two years mark is up on that warranty 01/15/2026....they have kept my jeep throwing more things to do with it and making me pay almost $1400 now just to find out from the guy who rebuilt my transmission that Kevin's auto repair is taking me for all my money and he needs to fix my transmission now. I've already paid Kevin's auto repair $425 for nothing and wasted so much money and stranded living at my job since 12/16/2025!!!! Kevin's auto repair are criminals fair warning. This has ruined my life! Response: first of all not living in my jeep I have a home in Miami, OK but uber is damn expensive back and forth to home when I work 12 hour shifts as a crisis specialist! Asshole! I could have fixed the Tran pan later! You're not helping me at all you're hurting me more and more. I could have been told it was the transmission the day it got to y'all!!! Self righteous jack ass and I was told later that it would only cost $312 for the safety switch!!! So more lies!!! And the driveshaft has nothing to do with driving back and forth to joplin for work I haven't been to Disney since last summer when I found out I have to get a modified front driveshaft for my jeep and when I do go to Disney I stay on trails that are not rough for it! I said I had money to repair it but after I was told it was only going to be $312 I paid my bills for the month! And I never said I have no responsibilities that is a lie too!!!You're absolutely evil. My hobby and what I do with my jeep to cope with the stuff I see for work is not negligence it is absolutely self-care for me to be out in nature so I can help folks. This is the second time Kevin's Auto has saved me. Kevin did an engine swap on my Kia a few years ago and never had an issue after that. This time I bought a cash car, and the guy who sold it to me, screwed me. Then I took my car to Dry Fork, only for them to lie to me and try to take thousands. Brought my Fiesta in to replace the serpentine belt and an overflow hose. I provided the parts (bought online) and left them on the passenger seat. I was quoted $100 for the job but ended up paying $140. They used the belt I purchased but didn't use the hose. Instead, they purchased another hose and told me to send my hose back. Same hose. They charged me $58 for the hose that they purchased. They should have sent their hose back. I was NOT happy. read more

The man who ran the front desk and took all of my calls in the 3 days the shop had my car was rude and borderline hateful every time I spoke with him or saw him in person. It was also confusing and inconvenient when I called to set up services prior to my car being towed there and no one apparently wrote down my name, kind of car I have, or my car's issues so once my car arrived they acted like they had no idea who I was or why my car was there. In addition, a loud rumbling noise was one of the issues I mentioned wanting to be looked at and I was told it was from a certain part that they went ahead and replaced. Upon receiving my car back the rumbling sound is even louder and I can feel the car vibrating under me when it makes that sound. It wasn't that bad before. I was in Joplin for a long weekend when my air started blowing warm. I called shops all over town and was told Monday was the soonest I could be seen, even given my situation. Despite having a packed garage, Kevin squeezed my car right in and got my air blowing cold again! Judging from the conversations I had in the waiting room, I definitely found the right place. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

So, I had the awful pleasure of experiencing Ivey's, and Allan's Repair prior to coming to Kevin's, and THIS IS THE SPOT! I had to get a new engine , due to the poor mechanical work at Allan's. My engine was swapped in one day, and my car runs so smooth now. They were excellent with communicating, and I went in with issues unrelated to the engine I.e, belt and dash lights etc, and Kevin stopped everything he was doing, and had his mechanics tend to me. He said " he wanted me fixed up, and safe, to avoid any mishaps" This is such a huge difference in what I have experienced from multiple places. I'll never go anywhere else again. read more

#1. Terrible customer service by the owner, Kevin. Will not listen to the customer!! Steer clear of this place!!!!!! #2. Used Zip ties to install new transmission lines and a radiator on my 06 Chevrolet Silverado!! Zip ties caused new tranny lines to rub and puncture a hole in them. Had to have this fixed out of town as it broke down on a trip. Wouldn't have had to had the radiator replaced had they not misdiagnosed it with the check engine light. (Injector's replaced by Lehar's Diesel-great place!!) I had to go to Chevrolet dealer to buy correct bolts for radiator housing ($4.00) and install myself. Zip ties, really!?!? #3. They replaced the upper intermediate drive shaft on the steering column. There was so much play in the steering it was dangerous to drive the truck especially pulling a camper. I took it back and ordered an OEM part from the parts department he recommended. Owner was very angry that the parts dealer sent the part to him and billed him even though I was going to pay. He didn't apologize for any of their mistakes or the fact that we could've wrecked pulling a 17,000 lb camper with that kind of play in the steering. Instead, he was more concerned about his billing on the part????? Wow!! What kind of auto shop does that?? Definitely not a customer first shop!! Stay far away from this shop!! #4.
