She placed my empty bags back in my cart after ringing me up and told me I needed to do them. It bothers me to leave this store because I have enjoyed the ease of using their app and subsequent rewards but it's not worth the insult nor spending my money here. I reached out to corporate but yet to hear from them. However the local mgt says they would address it. I truly hope so since it's not the first complaint of discrimination I've heard here. I got some Swiss cheese at the deli and a short elderly gray haired woman "helped" me. She wore her mask on her chin the entire time and explained to me that COVID is NOT real! And that No One has died from COVID. She was proud to say she was not vaccinated and the vaccines don't do any thing. "COVID is a lie!" According to her. From behind my mask I told her was vaccinated and boosted. I wished her luck and promptly tossed the Swiss cheese she packed for me in the trash! If nothing else she should have a mask on when preparing food! I don't care to hear her ignorance about the pandemic! No more Safeway deli anything for me! I wanted lunch meats too, but took a hard pass on that. Please talk to this woman and have her mask up when processing peoples food! Or let her go! This gas station has at least 8 pumps, a well stocked convenience store, garage, and plenty of driving space to maneuver in parking lot. This gas station has been the cheapest by A LOT from their competitors. Currently $2.79 Gallon while everywhere else is $3.05 and up. I've visited 3-4 times so far and there's never been an issue. And I even got new stuff like the candy spoon and all three tops sour powders just because he was so nice and cool. He seemed genuinely happy to be a kona ice driver and didnt just ignore you and hand you the cone he had a conversation with you if you were willing to talk and it wasn't even in a forced awkward conversation it was real like he was interested in what I had to say I dont know if ill ever see him again but I hope I do and if I do he better be getting paid top dollar (if kona ice gives raises idk if they do but he DEFINITELY deserves one) never got his name but he had a great looking beard and majestic hair (no glaze) he genuinely made my day ten times better. I wasn't having the best time at the football game.
