Fantastic stop, my friend and I stopped in after walking up the beach walk and then heading back on A1A. I forget what he needed; but, I had a mission to find some SuperGlue to help fix our daughter's glasses, which they had. The staff were very personable and helpful; and, came out from behind the counter to help me find the glue. We each paid for our purchases; and, thanked them. I come in with a registered service dog, whom is never is farther to me than a foot.. Either a worker or the owner of this establishment comes up to me and kicks me out of the store. I say this is a service dog trained for a medical purpose and I can show you the paperwork on my phone, I don't have her harness on because it's hot outside, we're just stopping to get water... he says, "yeah, yeah everyone comes in and says they have a service dog" mocking me... I said well I can show you the correct documentation... he says no I don't want to see it and continues to kick me out of the store... I can't believe how rude he was:. Went in with my service animal to get one bottle of water and a snack. The RUDEST woman that worked there asked me to leave. I have never encountered such a lack of empathy. I went next door to the local business that was 1000 better. I'll never go to the 7-Eleven again I love the one in Boca by me they have never given me any issues with my service dog. Hello, I went to 7-eleven two days ago and what happened while i was there was astonishing. I went in to get a drink and while waiting in line to pay I saw a huge rat climb up a conduit line. I proceeded to tell the cashier that I saw a rat and he laughed in my face and said "what would you like me to do about it." That response took me back because the people in front of me in line laughed too. If anyone within the 7-eleven corporate ladder sees this response please know I will never shop at your store again. Don't go here. I live on Deerfield Island, and this is the most convenient store by me... but I will never go back. There's a general store right across the street, go there. So this morning I wasn't feeling well, went in, got a cup of coffee and poured in a Starbucks doubleshot. Went up to the counter with the coffee and told them that I had a double shot as well. I was immediately accosted by the woman at the counter who explained she was the owner. She was yelling at me telling me that I can't do that and that I need to go get a new bottle. I remain calm explained that I had done that many times before and it had never been an issue... Then I walked to the cooler and grabbed another one for her to ring up. I had stayed completely calm through this, never raise my voice, was never condescending, argumentative or disrespectful. The owner continues to yell at me while I just stand there silently and take it. Then she has the audacity to tell me to never come back (keep in mind this is all because I didn't bring the empty can for the dbl shot to the counter - no exagerration). As I'm getting in my car to leave the other person who was working behind the counter with her runs outside and starts taking pictures of me and my car. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. I know this story doesn't really add up - if I read it I would certainly think there was more to it... but that's it, no exaggeration. Because I didn't bring up the empty can I was banned from the store, accosted and as I'm leaving the guy is pointing a camera phone in my face and taking pictures of me. I went in with my service dog as I have done fifty times before, got my items and paid for them, I stepped outside and remembered I forgot to get lottery tickets. I stepped back in to the same cashier, no line and started to ask about the tickets and a man behind the cashier said "You can't bring a dog in here!" No signs at all outside or inside barring pets or service animals. I told him he was a service dog and had proof in my phone that he is a registered service animal but he just said "That's not a service animal!" and told the cashier not to sell me anything. My dog is trained to alert if I am having any siezure activity and has done so on numerous occasions. The man would not give me his name so I asked the cashier who would only tell me he is the manager. I reported the incident to corporate headquarters which I doubt helps. I was not aware 7-11 had experts on service animals managing their stores. The cashiers are nice people but fear the manager who is in my humble opinion, a closed minded idiot that thinks he is always right even when shown proof of the facts. all i wanted was to get a $5 bill so that i could tip the valet driver for the hotel i was staying in. i thought i would get a bottle of water, use my debit card and get cash back. i found out the cashier wouldn't do cash back after i made the purchase but told me to use the ATM. i guess i hit the wrong button and first just asked to show my balance. i had to do another transaction to get money out. I just noticed that my bank dinged me $3 for the balance check and $3 for the cash withdraw and another $1.95 fee, So i ended up paying about $10 extra just to get $5. SAD read more
