Probably the worst customer focused Publix around . The so called customer care staff behind the service desk can not wait to tell you NO ... They gave my friend such a hassle for returning some sports drinks( Publix purchased ) without a receipt which made her decide to leave them on the counter and walk away . The produce manager ( middle aged male ) would not go to look for my item and decided to say NO as he was too busy stocking the shelves. Store was fairly packed with people as well as food, lol.... Lunchmeat was cut exactly as asked, especially the cheese, we enjoy it super thin. Happy and surprised to find Gabagool being from South Philly Pennsylvania it was a real treat. The prices of all foods have increased considerably. Shocking... Honestly this is the best public in Boca Raton, spacious, clean and extremely friendly!! The architecture outside is very Boca in a cool way and is surrounded by lush palm trees. The parking lot is big and this is right next to some really nice shopping and restaurant areas. The store itself is very nice and the pharmacy us very organized and friendly. Got my first Covid vaccine and the experience was really great. Super friendly and fast checkin process and very nice pharmacist. They have a waiting area for before and after the shot. I placed an online order about an hour in advance. 3 simple subs. Seems easy enough. I get there and they tell me they're out of chicken tenders... the prime component of 2 of the subs. Fine, no problem I can understand that, it happens. But then the staff just stares at me like I'm the asshole, doesn't ask what else I'd like and instead just starts taking orders from other people in line. The reason I order ahead online is so that I can walk in and pick something up so it's available. If something isn't available then call me to find out how to replace it. If that's not possible then make sure to take care of my order when I get there. I hope Management sees this, and has a conversation with the deli staff that was on Sunday, May 5 at 1:30. For a company that prides itself on customer service, these staff members need a nice long lesson. read more

Last night I rented a rug cleaner from Farrah in Customer Service. She couldn't have been more professional, helpful, and friendly. I returned the unit a few hours later to a different associate. Upon returning home, I realized the young man who took the return failed to indicate on my receipt that it had been returned. This morning I called the store and spoke with Yvonne. She informed me there was no record of the unit being returned but she was able to address the situation by confirming the serial number of the unit I'd rented was back at the store. Stopped in for a Publix tenders sub as it has been consistently my go to lunch as of lately. My first time here at this Boca Raton location as I work in Boca and do live in Fort Lauderdale.. typically going to the Publix off Andrews in Fort Lauderdale. Glad I stopped here today. I was informed that they were out of tenders initially, but the nice gentleman from Bangladesh named Fro I believe, offered me tenders from the pre-packaged station. I thanked him and he immediately put on a fresh pair of disposable gloves (very important) and toasted them, made my sub to my exact specifications promptly (as he could probably tell I had to go to work).. not only that.. this was the best Publix sub I have ever had!!! Don't even know if I can call this one a Publix sub. We might have to name this one after my new buddy Fro!! He was unbelievably nice and polite too as I probably came off slightly grumpy after hearing they're out of tenders. I was astounded by his level of hospitality that I received from him and thought to myself on the way out, "I just received the same quality of hospitality as the steakhouse I work at in Boca". You can bet I'm not getting my Public subs in Fort Lauderdale anymore and will consistently be visiting this location now.. Hopefully running into Fro more often! read more

I know a good number of people who say if you've seen one Publix you've seen them all. But for me such isn't the case. There is the tiny narrow ailed one with the always obstructed passage ways in Wilton Manors to the huge flagship one off 17th Street Causeway. This particular Publix Super Market isn't the biggest of Publix markets but not the smallest either. It's a sort of in between, but what makes this particular Publix stand out is that their displays seem better, more orderly, brighter and with fresher looking goods. Also it has the best flower collection of any of the Publix stores I've seen which is what ended me up with several calla lily plants along with a really large basil plant in order to have my basil supply as fresh as possible. As its displays seem more orderly and superior to the other Publix, I'm going Four Stars on this Publix. read more

I work for a competitor in the grocery industry, however I live within walking distance from this store so they also get a chunk of my paycheck every month. My typical score for them is a 3.5. A few nice team members, a mixed bag with management, but rarely offensive by any stretch. Tonight, however, I had a particularly poor experience in the deli, and with the Store Mgr. Simply put, this team needs to watch a customer service video called " give them the pickle". Look it up. Dated, but as true today as the day it was recorded. Businesses can be so short sighted in this regard. Save a penny to lose a dollar. I've shopped here 3-5 times a week for 3 years. I don't shop here since it's not close to my house, however word of warning: I ordered my wedding cake from this location for my wedding at The Addison two years ago. They delivered my cake a week early, so no cake arrived on my wedding day. We even later confirmed my receipt that said the correct date. The coordinator at The Addison had to scramble to figure out what happened during my wedding. She ended up going over to this Publix and purchasing another generic cake for our cutting. read more

I have been shopping at the Mercado Real # 600, 1001 S Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33432 for over 4 years. This store has the most disrespectful staff, from the bakery department to the deli department. They are the rudest, unqualified, disrespectful Publix Team of any Publix throughout Florida that I have come across. I am sure they must receive complaints from other customers. I have spoken to store managers and assistant managers several times throughout the years and they don't seem to care as the attitudes must trickle down from the top. I will make sure to post bad reviews on all local review services and be sure to tell all the neighbors to boycott this location until this problem is fixed! The worlds best subs right here. We flew in from Massachusetts and came straight to Publix to Ritchie for the turkey sub. He madit really special for us and chopped up the hot peppers with the onion . When that mixed with the Mayo whoooo! I was in this store at noon time today and two of the bagging people were not wearing masks, as were other shoppers. When I complained to the manager she just shrugged and said "yes they are". At that point one of the unmasked workers pulled it out of her pocket and put it on. The manager then said to me "well, she's wearing it now". Disgusting and unsanitary! This is probably one of the better Publix stores in the greater area. It's not the nicest store in terms of interior design. But store is managed well. The place definitely sees lots of traffic. It is also slightly on the smaller side as far as Publix stores go. I can't say anything bad about Management. They always seem to work hard to assist. One time, I was looking for Screamin' Sicilian pizza in the frozen section. The manager looked and then placed an extra order just for us. That was pretty cool. Whenever I'm looking for an item, I can always find someone to help. The promotions at Publix in general are typically pretty good. Lots of valuable "buy-one-get-one" offers on things I either like or new items I'm willing to give a try. Given its high-traffic location, it does experience some issues once in a while. There are a few homeless folks who frequent this location. Not a huge deal, but I do notice it. Once time I watched while the manager literally chased one man right out of the store who was trying to negotiate down the price of some item. It was entertaining for sure. Also, you see the occasional police visit as someone tried to steal something. This Publix has a very nice selection of wines. If you're into wines, Publix produces a very interesting newsletter on wines and pairings. You also can't beat the Publix brand foods. I love their hummus. Sometimes they have some good selections of pulled pork and complementary items in the hot food bar area. Also, the bakery will carry a variety of Jamaican and Cuban hot foods. I've eaten my fair share. Very good when you don't have lots of time. There's one man who works at the checkout register who's really cool. Very personable. Good store. Nice selections. I thought some of the Broward Publix's were really bad but this Publix (In Boca) is by far the worst around. The deli is a joke...half a dozen people hanging out behind the counter and 1 person waiting on people. Most of the work force in this store is disgusting. Not the best publix. I live directly across the street and try to go to other ones when I can. First off it's small and doesn't seem to have a great selection in my opinion. The Parking lot is usually jammed with people/cars But BY FAR out of all the publix I've been to(a lot since they're on every corner) this is the worst deli experience you will have. Since I live so close I have to frequent it from time to time and it's one of those shame on me situations. I have never gotten in and out of the deli in under 15 minutes ordering ONE SUB. The people who work here have no idea what they are doing or any concern for you. They don't smile or even talk sometimes. Just slap on the last thing you said and stare at you blankly for the next command. They all look completely miserable to be there and your existence is bothering them. I want to repeat this again, I have been here MANY times due to the 30 second walk and it never has gone smoothly. Last time I went they were all out of bread...at a bakery and told me it would be another 5 mins which turned into almost 15 before I got to order. I have always gone to publix for anything Deli or wraps, subs etc. But this Publix is THE WORST. The staff in the deli is BEYOND rude. A few times i have gone and had the person (each time different) give attitude and act like they do not want to even be working. Today was the last time i go to this publix. The guy making my wrap was rude, did not want to cut the turkey i asked so he put a different one inside the wrap and acted like it was the honey maple i asked. Decided not to take the wrap and went and got something else. The management needs to do something because honestly that is where it starts. The workers should be GRATEFUL to have a job in times other people are going through a tough time. If you do not like your job to the point it shows to the customers you should not be there. Stop acting "entitled" and rude and give the proper customer service! Management needs to change or start Managing or supervising correctly or something. This is a smaller neighborhood Publix for those living in East Delray. Not as big as the one at Federal & Linton or the other at Federal & Woolbright. It has a surprisingly large variety for such a small store, including many vegan/vegetarian options. The staff is your normal, high-quality staff and rarely do I have to wait very long in the check out line. I do prefer to go to one of the other two larger Publixs in the area simply because they have a larger number of items I may need; however, this Publix keeps a good stock for its size. read more

Unnecessarily rude girl at the express isle at 815 7/27 giving me dirty looks and being unbelievably rude the moment I approach with all of thee extra items. No one behind me and I was faster than the man in front of me! Was very close to removing myself out of there and leaving my cart for her to deal with after the attitude she dealt me! Today I went in for a sub at the deli and the gal who took the order from the get go had an attitude. She asked us what we wanted Ana we said a hero worth multigrain whole hero and she proceeded to cut the meats and cheeses She walked back and again asked which bread (we both looked because we thought we had told her) so... since we paused she just grabbed (aggressively)!2 breads. My husband said not these. Multi grain. She took the bread and put them in the cabinet so hard it made a boom sound. We were like "What just happened". We told her we don't want them anymore with her attitude. We were really taken by the severity of her attitude. This is not the first time either. Had a similar situation with another deli clerk in a different location. We are in Florida for a few months and have been getting hero's a few times a week. Most are cheerful and helpful. When you move to a new state or area you get a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $30 from Publix. It's kind of a welcome to the neighborhood sort of thing. The only reason I went today was to use that card. Unfortunately I forgot to at the check out, so I went to customer service right after the purchase. The woman behind the customer service counter doesn't adjust the payment on my credit card but instead gives me a gift card for $5 and says that's what her manager makes her do. Wtf?!?! I ordered 3 chicken tender subs at 1130 to pick up at 1215 and when I arrived at 1220 only 1 was done and they told me I had to wait another 15mins. How does that work when you do online ordering and it was ready by 1215 but when u get there they say 1235 that's not right. This publix is closest to my house but I always try to go to other ones because of how horrible the deli counter/sub counter is. Despite having plenty of people working they are always so incredibly slow and service subpar. For example I am currently standing in line. When I walked up I thought "oh great Sunday at lunch time only one person in line this shouldn't take too long." It's been 15 minutes and the guy in front of me getting one sub still isn't done! It's crazy. Also not as good of a selection food wise compared to other publixs. I don't know what's going on with this location but management needs an overhaul to bring the standard up to every other publixs. read more
