My boss said there's not many 7 elevens in this area. I assume he doesn't have the Yelp app because I found several 7 Elevens in the area. The best deal I found here is that they sell large fountain drinks for only 69 cents. I first found fountain drinks for only $1 at McDonalds. I thought that was a good deal. Then I found them at Quick Trip for only 99 cents. Then I found them at another convenient store for only 79 cents. It seems there is a fountain drink price war going on in this area which is good for consumers. Cashier was slow and distracted by co worker. As a result, he ignored me for quiet some time. He also gave me wrong answers on prices for some reason. One tip: The prices on the fountain drink machine are wrong. It has a sale sign up on top advertising 69 cents. read more

Went in to buy a water cashier was behind the counter on the phone so I put my bill down on the counter to wait for him. He Proceeds to pick the Cash up frustrated and says to me " question you throw your money down on the counter and put your hand out expecting me to hand it back how does that make sense ? He then ignores me as I start to apologize which wasn't necessary on my part but felt it necessary because of he's demeanor he then throws my money on the counter and just gets back on the phone. Lazy service. Do not drop the 7-eleven brand from high working, high work ethic, and higher base paying states into the Carolinas. With your low wages all your going to recruit is the worst and laziest employees in the entire world. My grandma works harder than these employees. In any state we have been too, I can order a whole pizza at 11pm no problem. If the oven is on and ready behind the employee at the cash register it isn't that hard to plop a pizza in. I will do it myself for a surcharge if need be, I will do the job of the employees. Wake up 7-eleven, stop soiling your brand in the bad service sectors of certain states all because you cannot pay them enough to do what employees in California or New York can do. And to be honest some of these employees would still be doing the same lazy bad service stuff even if their base pay was $30 an hour. I stopped at this store on May 23, 2020 around 5pm to purchase gas. The pump would not acknowledge that I even put my Exxon credit card into the reader. After trying several times (in different positions) I asked someone who was at the pump beside me if he knew if the pumps were working properly. He said they may have the card readers turned off due to there being "so much fraud in the area lately." I went into the store where only 1 cashier was working so after standing in line for him to struggle with checking out the customers in front of me, I told him I wanted to fill my tank and handed him my card. He asked me how much did I want to pump...I don't him I didn't have any idea how much gas my car would take but I wanted to fill it up. He said, "I don't know what to tell you about that. How much gas do you want?" I felt this was a stupid question to ask since I don't have any way of knowing exactly how much gas it would take at that particular time to fill it up! I finally just told him to give me $20 worth. He rang it up and I inserted my Exxon credit card into the reader at the counter but it asked me for a pin number. I told him I didn't have a pin because it's a credit card. Again, I get, "I don't know what to tell you." I was getting very frustrated with his attitude and non-caring demeaner since he truly showed he didn't want to be there or offer any assistance. I finally told him I'd just use my debit card. For some reason, his reader wouldn't work on that one either. I told him that isn't working either so I get his usual response of, "I don't know what to tell you" but he also adds, "It's not my card! I can't help it if your cards are bad. It ain't my fault your cards don't work!" I assure you, my cards are "not bad" since any other business is able to accept them just fine! I said, "So they stuck you here by yourself and you don't have a clue about how to operate a cash register!" As usual, I get "I don't know what to tell you" from him. Again, frustration is getting to me, as well as the other people in line behind me. I really should have just said I was going to the station next door but since I had already been standing in line for a considerable amount of time, I finally just gave him a $20 dollar bill to get some gas. During all this, another customer came up and interrupted all this by telling him the car wash code wasn't working so she just wanted her money back. I feel that this is a cashier error since before when I've gone into the store and used my Exxon credit card, they run the transaction on a different card reader for some reason but he acted like he didn't even know about this procedure. The cashier was rude and even made a comment about if he had somewhere else to work, he wouldn't be there. Needless to say, this has been my usual place to purchase gas since it's located conveniently near my house as I get off the freeway but after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere since there are many choices at this exit. read more

I have worked in this area since 2006 and I have boycotted this store many times due to its BAD service. And that's giving them some. The pumps are always slow (today 1 gal per Min.) so it only took me 18 min to fill up? I opted for the car wash but to my regular surprise its out of service also. You paid for it, its yours! W ether you get to use it or not! When you go inside and ask for service it is apparent that the only service your gonna get is ZERO. Your car wash is good for two weeks so you can use it then? Well maybe I am not gonna be her with in the next two weeks. The answer is... I work on Mon, Tue, and Wed just stop by and I'll give you another one. My advice is pay the premium some where else and you wont be disappointed. read more

He said that he was the owner when I asked who was in charge ( not a worker or mgr). He refused to give me anything but the store number!! I love stopping at 7-11 especially this one at 240 carowinds blvd because it is near my house. The customer service is awesome depending on who is serving you at that particular moment. It is also clean at least when I stop by there and the coffee, well that is great. The only thing that concerns me though is that whenever a major problem occurs, it is not getting into the right hands of management. I have run into some issues that concern me and it wasnt the things in the store but the employees of the store. I have a few friends that work for 7-11 in nc and sc. They tell me things that goes on in their stores and when they try to have it addressed, corporate didnt do too much to fix it. I believe i know why. I sent in some complaints but I believe the complaints were ignored. If any of you have any issues that require some upper management, make sure you get in touch with the 7-11 corporate in dallas texas and let them know you want to talk to some upper management(not a field consultant) because otherwise they will send your complaints to these field consultants that isnt hitting on a hill of beans. If you decide to email 7-11 corporate, dont try to do that either because all of the emails go to different field consultants. It is set up that way so that your emails wont get to the dallas corporate office so therefore corporate is not aware of anything major going on inside of their stores. Also if you feel that 7-11 is a good company to work for, think again! I have talked to many employees who work for different stores and most havent gotten raises and the main thing to this story is that 7-11 want you to do too much for little pay. I am a firm believer that if you want employees to help you then you have to give them reasons to help you in a way that is beneficial to them. Otherwise everything else is good for this store but take heed to what i just said earlier in this letter. If you have any complaints especially if it is major, call 7-11 corporate in dallas texas and speak to someone there that is higher in mgmt. Dont let them ignore you and you should get better customer service in the near future. read more
