I needed some snacks on the way to the airport and stopped in at this 7-Eleven. It's not a large store, but they had a decent variety of snacks and drinks. Some hot foods, though I didn't see any cold deli sandwiches which I would have loved. Bought some candy and salty snacks instead, and they served me fine. Staff was polite and professional. Store was clean and well lit. Well stocked. No complaints. Location is convenient and has its own parking lot. read more

Im appalled, the 2 indian or middle eastern men can't work the 7-11 rewards, don't speak English, or Spanish, and are rude enough to cuss out customers. They yelled profanities at me personally, while I tried to warm up a TV dinner because they had a wet floor sign there. And to make matters worse, a women kind enough to come to my defense told me the same employee stole 6 dollars change from her during a transaction earlier in the week. The workers here are always very accommodating. I always feel like employees at 7-eleven work the hardest because they have to deal with drunk idiots most of the time. It's a 7-Eleven. You don't go in expecting a lot. But I do expect to be charged the advertised price at the register. I mean, it's not that hard. Also, it's the law. So when the clerk charged me $5.98 for two burritos that were advertised on the shelf as 2/$3.50, I asked the clerk to adjust the price to the lowest advertised price, because that's the law, and it's a good business practice, and it's the decent human thing to do. The clerk told me that only the boss could make price adjustments, and that he (the clerk) had told him (the boss) several times about multiple pricing problems, and the boss just hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet. He also told me that if he charged me the price that was displayed on the shelf, then his register would be short at the end of his shift, and the boss would be pissed off at him. So, I dunno: here's a franchisee that's knowingly and illegally overcharging people, probably because they're perfectly willing to prey on those who are tired, poor, not paying attention, in a hurry, or just bad at math; hoping that the customers don't notice that they're being overcharged; and, when someone does notice, trying to leverage sympathy for the underpaid employee in order to keep overcharging the customer. Pretty shitty business practice. Pretty shitty customer experience. EDIT. Stopped back by today, three days later, to get a cup of coffee. The problem has been "solved" by just taking the sticker off the shelf that advertised the discount price and going ahead and charging the sticker price for two burritos. Because we're all going to sit around and pretend that those burritos are TOTALLY WORTH $2.99 EACH and that that's what they should cost and no one's going to admit that the "discount when you buy two" price that's no longer on offer because the lazy fuck who programs the cash register can't be bothered to program in a "sale" price was always the price that THE BURRITOS WERE TOTALLY WORTH instead of being an outrageously marked up bullshit price to try to motivate you to buy two at a "discount." Similarly, the stickers on several other shelves advertising "discounts" to prices that are actually reasonable for the low-grade food being sold when you buy more than one piece of said food have been removed, so now customers are just getting charged exorbitant prices on crap food instead of being able to buy a larger quantity and get the "discount" to a reasonable price. I guess if someone complains to the state bureau of weights and measures about how customers are getting overcharged "inadvertently" at the register, the solution is not to ACTUALLY GO AHEAD AND REPROGRAM THE REGISTERS TO CHARGE PEOPLE CORRECTLY, WHICH IS TOTALLY A PAIN IN THE ASS, but rather just to overcharge people for crap food without actively deceiving them into thinking they'll get a discount. Which at least has the merit of not being profoundly dishonest on the face of it, though it IS still overcharging people for crap food. read more

Compared to other 7-eleven stores in the area, this one is by far the worst in my opinion. It was dirty and super cluttered with overstock boxes filling the isles today (around noon). It is in a busy location next to the bus stop so maybe hard to keep up for the staff. The parking lot is small and hard to maneuver. I have been there when the delivery trucks are in and then it is better to park somewhere else. Given a choice, I would (and do) go somewhere else when possible. read more

Wow, what an amazing experience! I came in here at 2:45am in a hazy summer night, the moon was bright, the streets were calm, and something in the air was calling me to this 7/11 for a late night hot dog. I purchased one of their delectable dogs, and eagerly went to pay for it at the register. I immediately take a bite of this weenie and ascend into an other worldly culinary experience. I was in ecstasy. I couldn't help but to let out a slight moan and gasp- the cashier looks at me concerned for my well being. I was scared too, I've never felt this before. I didn't know if I was about to climax or go into cardiac arrest. Maybe it was both. The cashier threatened to call the cops. Overall it was pretty good hot dog. read more

While being helped with lotto stuff a clearly unhappy regular customer came in for his regular lunch to fit his regular life.He began ranting and disrespecting a customer because he was late to his "regular job". This is not a review really of what is inside 7-Eleven. There seems to be always a panhandler right at the door, and for me it is very annoying. Maybe 7-Eleven does not have the authority to make "free space" so customers can comfortably enter. It may even be that this panhandler is well known in the neighborhood and is tolerated. It may be that customers are so used to him that they have the discipline to ignore him. Today was a hot and humid day, and I was looking for iced coffee and made a visit, but I am not a heavy customer of this store. I do not want to be unfair to their products. Maybe the old line Santa Barbara people are used to the pathos of so many street people and panhandlers. This was just too much for me to handle. read more
