Did you notice that 7-Eleven is just about every where here on Oahu?! Thank goodness because it's one of my go to store for snacks, drinks, chips, ice cream, ready to eat meals, coffee...you name it. They have just about any kind of food and snacks that can quickly make you happy and smile. This is closest to my workplace so this is where I go to grab my pork adobo plate, kalua pork cabbage plate, spaghetti with meat sauce, jalapeño pork hash, tocino & longanisa breakfast plate, pancit (stir fry noodle), musubi's, slurpee, manapua and they have a f'real blending bar milkshakes! I got my tocino & longanisa breakfast plate and jalapeño pork hash for breakfast. So yummy! The food is delicious. The pricing is moderate. The very on average 5-7 stalls, depending on the location you go too. The staff are usually nice and friendly. The store can be both busy and quiet, depending on the time you go in. This is the closest 7-11 to my house, so when I'm craving a spam katsu at any hour, I know they will come through! They also have the usual good stuff (manapua, pork hash, hot and cold faves), and 1 gas pumps. The parking is limited and not the most convenient, but it's a quick stop if you're heading to the freeway west bound. read more

What I find interesting, is that some of the cashier at this specific 7-Eleven site seem to choose when they want to be fast at the register or super slow depending on how they want to be towards the client. I usually come to this 7-11 location because it is where I pick up my monthly Bus pass. Glad they accept credit card for that, so I can get miles on my credit card. Every bit counts!! Other than that, its very close to home and they have the normal stuff I do need. The coffee is adequate, but not as my beloved Starbucks does though. The 24 hour aspect of t 7-11 is awesome. I remember driving past this particular location on Christmas Eve night one year, and they were still open! Wow. I guess there are some who are willing to work that kind of time. Same with New Years Eve night too. Someone has to be there to sell you something, when you need it. It is a quick 10 minutes for me, whether or not, I want to buy something. Either cold drinks or the occassional Ben & Jerry's, this place has most of the convenient store feel you need. Other than that, go to Wal-Mart, Longs, or Walgreens. Because dim sum translated means small treats, and literally translated to touch the heart. So my fluent Chinese friend told me that Dim Sum means little treats to warm the heart. Especially the guy who sits on the right with his legs stretched out blocking the walkway. He doesn't even attempt to bring in his legs and he expects you to walk around him. He always asks for money. He has a broom and dustpan that he uses to sweep up outside so I guess that's why 711 allows him to stay there but he's an eyesore and becoming an inconvenience to the customers read more

This 7-11 is alright. They seem to have a high food turn-over rate so you are usually never wondering how long something has been sitting there. The people that work here are friendly. Other than that it is pretty much just like any other 7-11. It is very rare that I get gas at this station. There are cheaper places to get gas in the Kaimuki area but you can easily kill 2 birds with one stone if you need to pick up a quick meal/snack and get gas. 7-11 is pretty cheap. So I find myself eating here whenever I am broke and don't bring lunch to work. I was mad though a few days ago when I couldn't get my free slurpee on 7/11 because they ran out of cups. read more

I find the selection at this 7-Eleven is about as good as any. It's opened 24 hours, but closes two nights a month for cleaning. One of the cleanings is 2 hours and the other is 4 hours. Normally on a Monday - Thursday night, but I have been in need (yes, need) of a hot dog after midnight and been turned away because they were doing cleaning. They have a modest selection of magazines, newspapers and other items you might need when the other stores are closed (first aide kits, plastic cups, deodorant, tampons, etc) and a nice selection of juices, soda, energy drinks, ice cream and snacks. They have Spam musubi and manapua, but not all the time. They almost always have hot dogs in stock, though. And in the mornings they have hot breakfasts. I find the employees are nice. And I've never had a problem with feeling safe even when I drop in past midnight. I like it about as much as I could like any 7-Eleven for grabbing late night snacks and last minute energy drinks on my way to run errands. read more

A very convenient convenient store. They have everything you'd need for a ride in the car and/or when you're too busy to make or get coffee elsewhere, or need a snack. There are 2 gas pumps that I use quite often because this convenient store/gas station is really close to the freeway onramp going west. I'm really glad that 7-Eleven is no longer making their manapua (sort of like char siu bao) look like tie-dyed T-shirts with brightly colored streaks on them. Today they were normal white. For the past several years just looking at them made me feel grossed out! I've never tried any of the 4 varieties of manapua that include curry chicken and teriyaki chicken, nor have I tried the pork hash, because frankly I'm wary of dim sum sold at a convenient store. I've felt that way ever since I bought a spam musubi at a Pantry in Hawaii Kai (no longer there) and the under side of the spam was green. Blech! But who knows, maybe the 7-Eleven dim sum is good. The lady standing behind me in line today must think so; she ordered a teri chicken manapua and 3 pork hash very confidently. Maybe she'll do a Yelp review and let us know how they were... I do feel just fine buying nachos, cone sushi, chips, slurpees, coffee (it's actually not bad!) and bottled drinks (Vitamin Water, yum!) from any 7-Eleven. Went in tonight at 1139 PM. Went to grab alcohol and it was locked. Then asked the clerk who gave me a stink attitude. Asked her what time they stopped serving alcohol. She glared and told me "45". I then told her it's only 1140. She then continued ringing up another lady who I believe was purchasing alcohol as well. Waited and waited then finally she tells me they go off the time on their computer. I asked what time it said. Ignored me. Finally asked her like 3 times and she glares at me and tells me only "46". Filed complaint with corporate. Your better off going to Texaco up the road where they actually want you3 business. This 711 has been my "local" 711 being so close to home. This is in my opinion, one of the worst 7-Elevens to grace our neighborhood. I only go there out of pure laziness. They have four-five (depending how you park) parking stalls in the front and on certain days (especially the weekend) it appears that the employees park their cars here and the lot is full. I've come in when there were no customers inside yet the lot is full. I'm sure that some of them are from customers who go elsewhere (I've seen customers eat at the Pho place next door and park here) but why aren't the workers paying attention to this? I know for a fact that the black Tahoe belongs to one of the workers because it's ALWAYS PARKED HERE. Anyway, the customer service. It sucks. The only one who I like here is the older local female. Not the most personable but very courteous. She says, hello, thank you and goodbye, but not one for small talk; but she gets the job done. There is one other cashier here, who needs an attitude adjustment. I once bought a few items and she rang me up and bagged the items for me. I left and drove home to realize one of the items wasn't in the bag. I drove back and went to the same cashier to ask what she did with my missing item and lo and behold, my missing gum was sitting on the counter. But what upset me is that, she never apologized and actually blamed me for not grabbing the item. YIKES! On any given day I walk in to find three to four workers in the store however only one is usually ringing up customers. Now this is weird, especially since the line usually goes back past the musubi warmers, but no one goes to help the cashier out. they continue to stock as if there are no customers. Also they repeatedly run out of cups, lids and straws and various other items for their store. I mean, really? You want me to put a slurpee lid on my big gulp? Empty shelves equal lost sales...who is in charge of ordering and keeping items in stock? Anyway, If I'm not too lazy I usually go down the street to store by St Louis High school or the Aloha Mini mart by the mall. Worst 711 EVER!!! If I could give them zero stars I would! The manager is the worst manager ever! Doesn't have any customer service skills and is just a plain lazy bitch! Me and my fiancé recently went there and purchased about 30 worth of items.. Basically get charged TWICE! When we went to talk to the manager to fix the problem she was basically NO help! She didn't seem to care that one of her cashiers messed up a transaction... She was getting mad at my fiancé ( as if he was lying!) we even brought our bank statement to show the lady and she kept giving us the run around.. I hate coming to this location due to a couple of the workers there. Every time I come in they treat me as if I'm a mentally impaired person . I clearly am not. and mock me when I buy something so simple and said it for them to hear clearly the first time. I usually come to this 7-11 in the morning and in the afternoon for some snacks and some musubis. They usually have a good selection of food. I also find it very convenient to fill up gas here; that is WHEN their pumps are operating properly. They just finished upgrading some things again, so I hope there won't be anymore problems. 7-11 Hawaii, we're coming through for you...and they do. It's a great convenience store. And, I'm so glad the manager from the St. Louis location came to the Sierra Drive/Waialae Avenue store - it really needed the help. Before she came (and I'm sorry I don't remember her name), the Sierra store was a little messy, sticky soda spills on the counter near the fountain and Slurpee drinks, not fully stocked with lids, etc. But after she came, what a world of difference, she said she turned the air condition lower to cool off the store and freshen the air (thank you) and really cleaned up the place. The shelves are neat and nicely stocked, the hot foods usually has the "basics" - an assortment of spam musubis, mini and full bentos, burgers, hotdogs, etc. They have a nice selection of cold items, such as sushi, somen noodles, sandwiches, cut fruit and other yummy just grab n go snacks. Love the convenience and the variety of items you might need in a pinch - greeting cards, flowers, batteries, over-the-counter remedies and anything else. This has got to be the worst 7-11 on this island. Saddest part is, i work right next to it so i am a frequent customer. I typically stop by for morning coffee in the am. More often then not, there is no coffee left and none being made. There is a giant mess all around the coffee station and they have nothing stocked for coffee. No creamer, no sleeves, no lids, etc.. The employees are standing around talking and when I ask them to make some coffee they roll their eyes like it's a giant hassle that I am interupting their morning conversation. I stopped going for a few weeks. Today was the last straw. I finally decided to stop in this morning for a drink and breakfast. I grabbed what i wanted went to the line. There was nobody in there, but one lady already waiting. As we both stand there with nobody at the register waiting, i look over and there are 3 workers standing there watching us talking, pointing laughing with their mouths full of food. My husband gave them a dirty look and one girl came over and checked us out finally with the same disgusted look. Sadly this will be my last visit to this 7-11. She tells me she's sorry but she over charged me. She charged me for 2 Double Gulps when I had 1 Double & 1 Super Big Gulp. I told her was honest mistake & no worry about it. She tried to get me to cone back in to give me my $ back but i was in a hurry so told her to just leave it. Less headache for us both but it was nice to know she wanted to correct her error. Hi. I stop by here every morning for my morning coffee and snacks and sometime a sandwich for lunch. I notice that the store management is letting one of their female employees park their vehicle in the lot. There is only four open slots in front and two slots by the pump. Sometimes in the morning, there is no parking available because their employee has taken one. Customers should come first when it comes to optimal parking, not employees even though they are female. I believe the employee should park on the road or on the backside of the parking lot if necessary. If management fixes this problem, I would rate them higher. Thank you. read more
