All of the almond croissants looked as if entire bags of confectioners sugar had fallen open on them. Also a strange, not almondy flavor to the least-snowy almond croissant we paid an arm and a leg for and threw most of it away. Not worth the calories. Ditto the chewy and chocolate-lacking chocolate croissant. One spot of chocolate inside, horrible bready chewy exterior. These are croissants! Should be light and flaky by definition, even an Italian version. Not sure if Tuscan or hotel kitchen is at fault, or if they are shipped in from elsewhere, but the baked goods were baked bads. The avocado toast slice with tomatoes was the only winner in our entire order. We had been looking forward to trying this hotel cafe since it opened, and it was not at all worth our special stop or money or parking fee today. With so many cafe options, there is no need to give this another try when almost everything was a big letdown. If you are staying at the hotel, this may be the only game on the block, but I'm sorry to say they need to improve the service, efficiency, quality, and flavor. To put Artisan in their name is wishful thinking at this point.

Junk everywhere; open boxes partially emptied, random items propped on chairs rendering them unusable. Dust on every surface. Across the back, a giant black cloth tacked to the wall with random racks. Looks like a school bulletin board that's just being started. They apparently have musicians some nights and all the musical equipment is pushed against the wall. There's a large cushioned seat with an enormous banner filled up on to it, so no one could sit on it. I can't have caffeine because of a heart condition. The owners insist that their coffee is "naturally low in caffeine" and has "half the caffeine of most decaffeinated coffee". So I foolishly had a cup and suffered with palpitations for several days. A caffeine sensitive friend had a similar experience. We had bagels and they were just meh, nothing special. So I'll probably never eat there again and won't have their coffee (caffeine) but we'll probably buy the coffee for my husband and other friends. It's very good.

Most of them were taken (by staff?) and there is one handicapped spot at the end of the row furthest from the walk-up order window on that side of the building. I ordered a hot, house blend coffee with milk, so easy and quick. They also offer a dark roast if that's your preference. The coffee was a bit bitter, but not too much (as compared to another recent take away coffee I had) so that's a win with a nice amount of milk. The drive-thru lane took a couple of minutes. Nothing crazy. As the order and pick-up windows are only a car length apart, the order is made just before you receive it, so if someone has a large order, the line would move a little bit slower. It wasn't a busy time of the day and we were only the 4th car in line so it was a pretty quick visit. If we find ourselves in need of caffeine while in the area, I would try this Aroma Joe's again.

This place popped up right over the town line in Lawrence very cool decor cool twist with the umbrellas for the overhang and also next to some restaurants, easy parking . They serve Hershey's ice cream and Horchata's decided to get the strawberry for my daughter and a chocolate milkshake for myself to touch with a chocolate milkshake adding some syrup in there on the side really gives the chocolate a good pop if you're in the area definitely recommend a small place worth your time to check out.
