a red car parked in front of a 7 - eleven

I saw a comment on another site that describes this 7 Eleven as the "busiest in the world" and while delusions of grandeur are prevalent in Utah, i'd have to say this might be one of the busiest locations in the state. The location is at the mouth of the Cottonwood Canyons near 4 of the mountains resorts. Depending on the time of the year this place is packed with winter sports enthusiasts looking to get their snack and gas on before going up the canyons. It is the closest gas & convenience store before you drive up to the resorts. Because of this you often can experience long lines in the morning and afternoons with a combination of skiers and workers from the Cottonwood Corporate Center buildings. And to top it off, people in the very small parking lot are driving like absolute fools, so I recommend watching extra closely for cars already in and coming in the lot. I'm a fan of 7 Eleven coffee and they do a good job of keeping lots of fresh pots going almost any hour of the day. They also have plenty of variety, their regular blend, Colombian, the cafe specialty blends. And of course its cheap and scaldingly hot. I'm not a coffee snob so I'm sure some will turn their nose up at 7 Eleven coffee but the bean quality always seems better than average. You can also buy their beans now and brew at home. The gas prices used to be competitive with the rest of the valley but as of the last 6 months have seen a 10 cent premium per gallon to other spots. They generally have a captive audience so they can probably get away with it. If you can make it farther down Ft Union Blvd there's bound to be cheaper gas and possibly even at another 7 Eleven. If you need to get your grub and coffee on while skiing this is the place to go in the Cottonwood Heights area. If you're looking for a more easygoing experience less the snowboarders, go to the Sinclair a mile west down the street.

Yep, as others of shared this is a crazy busy 7-Elevenseems like no matter what time of day you go, or what day of the week, there was always a ton of people there.does not also uncommon to see four or five employees working at the same time. I don't think I've ever seen less than two there. The staff is always friendly and supportive, and there's always tons of goodies fresh and ready to go. I find it funny that we now consider 7-Eleven to be not just a convenient store, but also a fast food restaurant. The location is stellar, right on the main highway, close to the freeway, and at the foothill of the ski resorts.this location must be a cash cow for the owner.

Karl is one of the reasons me and my family have come back to Root'd because of the connection he has made with my children and the genuinely kind soul he is. While I can't speak for others, Karl has always provided us with an amazing serving experience and has really made us feel at home at Root'd, while the food is great, his service is what has always stood out to me here. Before other people go judging him on one shitty night he had they should realize that he is just trying his best and one bad night does not define Karl, because I have seen so much more out of him. Imagine if you judged everyone based on one night off their life? Doesn't seem very fair, does it. I have gone to Root'd long enough to know the consistency and value that Karl brings to this company, and I hope everyone else can realize that too. I love this place, the food, and the service, and genuinely just want to see the best for it. So, say it with me now, #Justice4Karl

The menu strikes a nice balance. There are enough options that everyone in our group found something they liked, but it's not so extensive that it becomes overwhelming. If you enjoy spirits, definitely try some of their house-distilled offerings. The gin stood out as particularly good and was a highlight of the visit. We visited for a birthday celebration with a group of eight and had no issues being accommodated. We were seated at a comfortable table, and service handled our larger group just fine. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I would definitely go back.

We got seated and to start the chairs were dirty (first people of the day sitting here), my water had something in it, and the silverware was dirty. We ordered the bread appetizer, but no plates to put the bread and oil on. We ordered the shrimp and grits, which was very bland it needed salt. Ham and cheese omelet, which my mom also thought was bland, French toast, my son enjoyed. The Benedict, my step dad enjoyed as well. Finally chicken and waffles, which was as expected. On the plus side the service was great and the price was reasonable for the portions. Overall I was not impressed and more than likely would not recommend, at least not for brunch.
