Walked in not knowing what to expect…read more On my left there was a shelf with a small amount of grocery items, a refrigerated case with Jarritos soda and Inca Cola; on my right, there were a few tables; and in the back, a counter with a cash register. Looking at the all Hispanic clientele, I was wondering if I should have brushed up on my Socal Junior High Spanish. The owner runs the counter; she's a jovial woman from Guatamala who speaks English with a thick accent. Order at the counter and have a seat. OUR ORDER: - Chicken Tacos - more like taquitos. These were small but had good taste and crunch. PS they do have regular soft tacos but the fried ones are more popular. - Pork tamale - they use pork rib meat so watch out for the bones. I liked the tender and tasty pork, but not the taste of the masa they used. - Carne Asada Plancha - again good taste (there's a theme here) but too much gristle. - Tortilla was thick: crisp on the outside and soft in the middle not the same as the Mexican type. - Pico De Gallo was salty I wouldn't mind trying out more things on the menu if I was in the area. Rating 2.5 rounded up for good flavor and friendly service.

It looked like a place that has not changed in many decades- so it had a vintage vibe. During my visit, it was quite busy as it was just after 12 noon on Saturday. I read that this place has very good pastries, so that is what I decided to purchase. There were two friendly ladies working behind the counter, so I called one of them to ask for help. She informed me that each item is priced by weight, so after confirming the prices, I purchased three cannolis (three different flavours) and one cream-filled doughnut. Then she let me know that I can pay for them at the checkout close to the exit. After paying for the items, I brought them home to try with my husband. We enjoyed both items- however, if we had to pick our favourite, it would be the cannolis. The exterior was so crunchy (and very satisfying) and the filling was smooth and creamy. Each flavour had the right amount of sweetness to satisfy our cravings! The doughnut was good- it had the smooth and creamy custard filling, but the dough tasted a bit hard (so it was not as pillowly as we thought). The next time I am in the area, I look forward to checking out their other items. If you are in this area, support local and check out this family-owned bakery!

What a dump. Nearly 5 bucks for a small piece of brownie. Hardly any hot plate food except pizza…read more Not worth going to at all.
